Does not default to my location. Does not default to the available bus routes where I am standing. Good night find the schedule for the route I needed. Utterly confusing. I will delete SFMuniBuses

What good is a route map if it doesn’t show your location ON THE MAP??
Most user unfriendly public transportation ever. Next time , I’ll just take my truck and pay the $40 for parking downtown and walk where I want to go.

What did you do with the 27-Bryant?!!! It’s my main bus up & down Nob Hill. It was on SFMuniBuses when I first put it on my phone. I had it listed under my favorites. Then 1 bright sunny day I walked down to Jones & Sutter at the time SFMuniBuses indicated a bus going outbound down the hill. At exactly that moment I saw the bus going inbound towards Van Ness back up the block at Leavenworth & Sutter. Poor app was utterly confused about inbound & outbound. Shortly after that it completely disappeared from SFMuniBuses . DID YOU THINK NO ONE WOULD NOTICE?! C’mon. You were reputably more reliable than Nextbus. What happened?!

Makes it impossible so buy transit tickets. You click on the link to buy tickets and it opens a browser that tells you to download SFMuniBuses . SFMuniBuses redirects you to a web browser and the web browser redirects you to SFMuniBuses . No way of actually braking the loop and buying the ticket! Absolute trash.

App runs in the background and will drain your battery.
The settings page has no way to exit - you have to kill SFMuniBuses .
UI is clunky.
Managing routes is complicated.
There are better apps out there...

It is very difficult to get from a street, find the nearest bus stop and your route to your destination.
Why is it when I put in the starting place and destination it doesn’t give me options?
by Tjugjfhbjgch
Using some colors which, by the way, are not discernably referred to anywhere in the open page, it's not a way to make transit more accessible. It should not be a clues game.
I can not believe you have not thought of that, so, what is your logic behind leaving out the direct reference to the bus or metro trains line numbers/letters?
I am referring to the “Nearby” page. All one gets is a list with reference to the nearest stop, and the next arrivals to some end-of-line destination. There is no indicator of the bus line number, or letter, other than a color, which is meaningless if one is not familiar with those color codes.

Where to start - offers routes and lines you never take, and aren’t near you, as the only line options. You can’t pick different ones, there is no list of bus numbers. You can pick a stop nearby (??), but not a route or specific bus. It has an option for “routes” but the only options are the J, K, L, M, N, T, 1, 7, and 5. The map also only shows these lines.

It would be helpful if it was easier to read times, routes for older people

An app that shows arriving times for a bus does not need ANY seconds of time of an “intro” screen imitating travel. Just go directly to the information needed. Dump that initial screen. It’s annoying.

Recently your prediction time has been off. Several months ago I could time SFMuniBuses to the minute. Now if it says my bus is coming in 3 minutes it means it’s there already
by Useless Nickname Requirement
Looking at a single line is only partly useful. Because often several lines may go from your particular location to an acceptable end point. For instance, if I am at mission and 16th and I want to go to mission and silver, there are 3 busses that would be useful. Yet I have to make an effort to see them individually. It would be useful to see all busses that stop at 16th & mission and then I can select the one I want. Most users who are SF residents have a working knowledge of the system. Having individual routes is great for reference if you’re going somewhere unfamiliar. But it is not the feature that most people use first. StuartS

I never use the nearby buses page but the clarity of the buses on the map cannot be beat by other apps.
As others have mentioned, it sometimes zooms out and you have to fight it to see the routes more closely.
If MUNI were more reliable we’d have a perfect marriage of efficiency and clarity.

SFMuniBuses is accurate and really good. It does not have any glitches that I can say every time I use it the buses are actually weather at and not canceled or anything like that. Just a really good app.

SFMuniBuses doesn’t have most of the buses that I usually take.

I love it SFMuniBuses. I use it every day

I cannot tell you how gratified I am to be able to see the run numbers. I use SFMuniBuses for my job. Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart.
Plus it tells which direction it is!!!

I’m a Muni Operator, and SFMuniBuses has been the best for me for over a year, as it has been uniquely useful to check on the buses I will be taking over out on the route. The Dev is helpful and responsive to support questions. 5 stars!

Hi Alex, I like SFMuniBuses very much! Please do not discontinue SFMuniBuses, thank you very much!

My only concern is I’m disabled and my wallet was stolen. I tried tirelessly to have card replaced. This was before pandemic. Can’t imagine what it would be like to attempt it now.
