DurhamBusTracker is completely worthless and incredibly frustrating! More often than not, when you open it, it has logged you out and, when you try to log in, the system times out and locks you out. When it does happen to be working, about half the time the busses don’t even show any movement. Maybe it is a substitute bus that day - but it would not be at all difficult to set it up so the new bus location was shown. Clearly DurhamBusTracker was created and never updated. If you are going to advertise this as a “perk” of using your bus system, make sure it at least works.

Like other reviewers, I have trouble with DurhamBusTracker probably 90% of the time. Currently, no matter whether the bus is driving up my street or just leaving school, it just shows being at its parking lot. Useless.

National Express LLC is the developer of this awful app for Durham. The last upstate was two years ago. Is Durham no longer paying for service and updates from you? When schedules and buses are changing on a daily basis, DurhamBusTracker is a really important thing for parents to have. Unfortunately, it’s just one more source of frustration regarding bus service for our kids.

I like DurhamBusTracker ,, but there's only a few times that I can actually use it. When I moved my old address was still being used on DurhamBusTracker and didn't update itself until months later. And when my bus was constantly being worked on in the shop we had to use a sub bus and that didn't show up on here either, it just showed that my bus was sitting at the bus yard. So, I think we should be able to see all the buses for our area, or, we should be able to update it manually, like put in our new address or our sub bus

I have been using DurhamBusTracker for years. Over the last couple of years it is hit or miss whether or not it shows the actual location of the bus. I have tried reporting feedback to Durham and have never gotten a call back or an email. For the last several months every time I try and locate my kids school bus after school it says the bus/route cannot be located.

The idea is great and our kids have tracked the bus in the morning to get ready on time since busses ran late quite a bit. Problem is that the busses that run the routes change and this doesn’t get updated in DurhamBusTracker and more often than not we can’t see our bus or see it on a completely different route. I once contacted the company and it took weeks(!) to get the new bus associated.

Let’s be honest, Connecticut you had this “great” idea to start tracking busses for all the great reasons. However, you FAILED tremendously with keeping DurhamBusTracker up to date. We are NOW a month or so into the school year, my oldest child mysteriously disappeared from DurhamBusTracker , no bus is actually trackable and an error message that states No Bus Route Available. I wished you techies would have taken into consideration an app that actually works let alone updates continuously NOT just every 6 months or so. If I could have given ZERO stars I would have.

I love this application but, some changes need to be made. DurhamBusTracker needs to be more accurate on the location showing side and I think it would be better if it showed the approximate time the bus will arrive at the certain destination and make our life more easier.

DurhamBusTracker is only useful when the bus is running normally, and after a few weeks it's unnecessary. It would be much more helpful if we could still track our child's bus when they have to switch buses (due to mechanical issues, etc) or if we could be notified via DurhamBusTracker when they are running late,

I’ve used DurhamBusTracker for a few years. Occasionally it would stop working but not for very long. However about a month ago it logged me out, deleted my account and now it says there’s no route for my student. Support just told me to delete and add my student again. I’ve tried that many times and when I emailed the same person again to let them know this, they blocked my message instead of being any actual help.

Don’t bother on DurhamBusTracker. This is a dead app that does not get updated or fixed. For months the wrong bus shows on DurhamBusTracker . Left feedback about and not fixed. Called the bus barn and they were even less help. Best bet is to buy those GPS tags and place them on your kids shoes or backpack. Waste of time for you to download. I will update if the developer responds back, just don’t hold your breath until then.

App needs serious updating. Not only is the bus supposed to come at 8:32(per schedule from bus company) it shows up anytime between 8:44 and 8:59. This would be fine if it wasn’t 20 degrees out some mornings, in order to get outside on time we rely heavily on the tracker so my son is not waiting 20ish minutes. Also if we are not outside on the sidewalk the bus will slow roll by and never stop. DurhamBusTracker is heavily relied on and is never working.

After a “performance update,” I am no longer able to log on to my account and am told that the email doesn’t even exist. When I try to make a new account, it won’t find any email that I input. I can’t even reset my password because, once again, they can’t find my email. DurhamBusTracker is garbage. It never even updated the bus accurately, and would jump from place to place. I don’t recommend downloading it.

I need to pick up my child sometimes especially when it is really cold and I don’t want him walking home and then me having to stay home from work because he has a cold so it’s reliable but sometimes it has its falls but overall I like it

Two main problems: 1) Despite enabling email messages, no messages are ever emailed and 2) Any message sent us automatically deleted when the next message arrives. If you aren’t looking at your phone the moment a message arrives, the next message received deleted the first one automatically. DurhamBusTracker should require you to delete all messages so important messages are not missed.

I’m not sure where the fault lies with this criticism, but DurhamBusTracker does not reliably show the bus location. Often, it shows the bus icon parked in its overnight spot on DurhamBusTracker while the actual bus is picking up my children. When it does work, it’s great, especially on cold days when I want to minimize my children’s exposure to freezing temperatures. Unfortunately, those are the days when the bus icon never moves and renders DurhamBusTracker completely useless.

DurhamBusTracker has been quirky to begin with.
After the most recent update the bus tracker shows a completely different bus route.
The school district should use some other tracker. It does not help when there is a snow storm out there and you wonder why the bus tracker is showing some random bus

Please fix the issues for the safety of the kids.

DurhamBusTracker is good when it is working. It had some problems sometimes in 2019. But stoped work two weeks ago completely. I reinstalled app but it did not help. So sad

Since day one of school app never worked. Keep contacting headquarters to tell them and they forward my emails to the local transportation department but they do nothing or say anything... give up DurhamBusTracker should be taken down it’s garbage. Nobody at my local transportation department cares to fix this nor communicate with parents. Never been so frustrated!

When I try to see where my daughters bus is it shows me that this bus location is unavailable at this time and it will not refresh has says 245am for the past 2 days. I have tried deleting DurhamBusTracker and reinstalling it to see if that helped and nothing still same problem. Think would be good app if it would work properly

I’m not sure which is worse: DurhamBusTracker or Durham. Neither work well nor does the student come first. Fail. I can’t for the life of me figure out why after two years of DurhamBusTracker they can’t get this right. Further as they change bus assignments they do not update the tracker so you get wrong info anyway.

DurhamBusTracker cannot find my child’s route or bus. I have entered the required information, DurhamBusTracker is able to find my student, but not her bus information. I have emailed support and called their local office. No one seems to know how to fix it and I have been passed back and forth from person to person with no valuable help or information.

When you install DurhamBusTracker and you can’t set up, disconnect your phone off of WIFI and try it again. I just discovered this VERY critical step. Once set up, switch back on to WIFI. It is not addressed on any part of DurhamBusTracker or description. I hope this helps a few users out there. I have yet to see if it tracks properly for my bus route.

For the last couple months my kids bus hasn’t lef the yard. If you are going drive a different bus on a route you need to update it in the tracking system too

DurhamBusTracker has not worked for the passed month and a half. It has been showing the bus to be parked in the overnight parking garage. It’s very frustrating! Every time I call Durham they tell me to delete DurhamBusTracker up to 3 times in a row and that will fix it; I’ve done that about 20x and has been a failure.

First day of school. Trying to track the bus and DurhamBusTracker hasn’t showed me where the bus is. I was hoping I could rely on DurhamBusTracker, but its been disappointing. It always says location unavailable, or they’re doing maintenance. That’s just today. First time I used it.
