I accidentally updated and I do not like the setup or look of the new one. For what I used it for basically just keeping track of my savings this update not only changed the name and icon of it the whole app has changed. Far too complicated now. Will be deleting and finding something else. I’m sure this would be fine for someone but again this is now too complicated and complex for what I use it for. And it isn’t as easy to navigate anymore. Very disappointed. I’ve had this for I wana say over a year and this update is absolutely huge and changed the whole thing.

It claims to let you track recurring bills, but it doesn’t—only recurring PAYMENTS. To enter a recurring item you have to enter a specific amount. Your utilities don’t cost the same every month. Your credit card payments aren’t the same every month. So to track these you would need to enter the payments manually each month which defeats the purpose of NEKO . It needs to let you enter the details of the recurring BILL, then separately let you enter the PAYMENT each month, in order to be useful.

The other reviews must be fake; NO way NEKO works get 320 reviews and average at 4.8-5 stars.

You cant connect your accounts which I do realize this brings certain peace is mind but that means EVERY SINGLE trans and charge must be manually added. I found this as an app to "visualize where your money is going" but how would that help you when your goal is that? (If my accounts could do that decently why would I be looking...?).
I am never going to maintain tracking money in and out if I have to manually enter it EVERY TIME
This wouldn't normally generate be giving a two star review (partly because I dont bother usually to give reviews) but it is worded in the screenshots and description as '...automatically updating...' Which any person would interpret as not having to enter everything ; it means your running balance though evidently because thats the only "Automatic" thing that it has....
Nothing special: i can see it would have use and value for some people, but its absolutely lying and misrepresenting its self in the description wording- Lies!

It would be nice if: 1. I could view future months, not just current and past. 2. I only had to enter my income and expenses in one section and they automatically deducted from the projected balances. There’s no need for the additional “transactions” tab and the info in that section has to be entered manually each month (no recurring option). It requires additional work. But if the info isn’t re-entered into the transactions tab, the graph of expenses won’t update. 3. The income to debt ratio was calculated.

I have a trusty bill tracker that I use regularly but since it is no longer being updated, I’m beginning my search for a replacement that will hopefully be needed only years into the future. The best thing about NEKO is that it also tracks one’s pay dates. That being said, a month-at-a-glance calendar would be easier to read than notifications. A spreadsheet import function would be nice to get old records in. And, finally, a subscription-less payment to get rid of the ads would be appreciated.

i understand some of the stuff in this new update but a lot of good features were taken out, especially the ones that did the automatic math.

the calendar was perfect before please change it back. i much prefer being able to see whatever transaction is going to occur on the date i click and see how much my balance will be when that income is put in or expense is taken out and i liked how i could click dates without a little menu popping up, if i want to see the list of transactions i could slide it up like before.

and when it comes to the categories it no longer tells me the total sum of whatever category i have listed, im left to add up all the numbers myself when before it would just say the sum at the bottom. not to mention i have to click multiple things just to get to the transactions and then put in the filters to see different categories when before it was dedicated to its own button at the bottom where all the statistics were kept.

before this update NEKO was 5 stars perfect especially the calendar feature. now with this new update and a lot of the things that made NEKO easy to use i'll have to knock down two stars.

My old bill organizer app wiped out all my data, so I needed a replacement. After comparing a few similar apps, I decided to stick with this one. I love the feature that shows the remaining cash after paying all the bills—overall, it's pretty good. However, I wish there were more customization options in the settings. For example, it would be helpful to add a toggle that allows users to choose how the dollar amount is displayed. It can be confusing when it shows $2.57k instead of $2,567, especially if I want to see the exact number. Another improvement would be allowing users to enter text on more than one line in the notes section. Currently, it doesn’t let me start a new paragraph, which is inconvenient. Lastly, it would be great to have a way to duplicate an entry, so users don’t need to repeatedly enter the same fields for similar entries that aren't recurring items. I would also love to see the ability to add NEKO to the widgets.

NEKO has great potential! After downloading, I went through and added all my bills, then took notes on things that needed improvements. I sent the developer and email with my observations and he replied this morning with the most polite and professional response. I can’t wait for the new features! Thank you!!

I’m coming from Prism as they have shutdown and came across this app which I believe has great potential. I have tried out countless apps and this app definitely stuck out to me but could maybe use some changes/additions:

- A section to view all added “billers” (maybe add to the menu section) with functionality to edit and delete.
- For the Overview page > Upcoming, the ability to expand it and have it stay stationary on the Overview page, so you can view what you see when you click the hamburger button to the right of Upcoming.
- For the Overview page > Upcoming, the ability to be able to see past/already paid transactions as well - not just future transactions.
- Setting to increase font, globally, within NEKO .
- Not sure where you got the name “this app” from, but it means cat in Japanese. You can possibly revamp the style a bit and add cats somewhere (app icon?) which might draw in more users - theme options would help as well.

I’m currently on the premium trial and overall satisfied, but the experience could be a lot better with simple additions.

I wish there was a way to see past paid bills, once a bill is paid off for the month it just disappears. The reoccurring bills section could be this solution if it NEKO allowed you to arrange this page by due dates (also wish this page had a simple income vs bills calculation towards the bottom)

I wish there was also the option on being able to customize the defaulted view on the overview homepage.

I would give it 5 stars even after paying to upgrade. However…. Prior to the upgrade when you marked a bill as autopay you still had to go in and mark as paid. It now automatically moves it to your transactions on the due date. Guess who now has a $25 late fee because they missed a credit card payment due to this :(

I’ve tried a dozen apps and this is the first one that has everything I need in one place. It’s now incredibly easy to not only track spending but to view projections, budget per paycheck and much more!

this app changed half way through me using it but has gotten even better with all the updates. The developer listens to all the feedback and improves NEKO with our needs. So dang happy with NEKO

I use NEKO every day to manage all my finances. I love it! It’s so easy to use! Developer is very responsive and quick to resolve any issues! I definitely recommend to anyone needing a great way to budget and track expenses.

It just what I wanted, love it love it. the only thing that needs is that you can be able to log in and log out or registered yourself but it doesn’t, so I don’t know what will it happen if I lost my phone or erase NEKO by mistake because you lose all the history of your tracking expenses.

Finally found an app that tracks recurring payments and income, has a calendar view that shows future balances, AND lets me track unpaid bills and mark them paid manually.

I’ve recently taken over doing the bills from my wife. Im a guy where I need to see what is coming up to include pay days so I can know when to pay or how much to pay. Especially if we are saving for vacations. I’ve looked at plenty of Apps and so far I love this one. It covers all my needs. Awesome app and they keep the updates and bug fixes coming. Great work!

Finally an app that I can use and it works to keep me on budget and time with the bills! Love the diversity of NEKO! I can tailor it to my needs!! Love the fact that I can see what I am spending and income also. Been looking for an app that does both for some time! This will definitely keep me on track ! Thank you for creating NEKO! Please don’t delete it cause I will be lost w/o it and I hate starting all over with a new app!!! Thank you so much!!!

I really like how you can view payments and income by account or an overview of all accounts. The interface is easy and intuitive. I don’t mind that it doesn’t auto import payments since manually putting them in reminds me of how much I’m actually spending 😅 They do allow for reoccurring payments too so not everything is manual. I had a suggestion and emailed their support and got an email back within 3 hours stating they’d add it in the next update!

I’m just glad to FINALLY find a bill app that’s really FREE. I kept getting disappointed by other apps that said “free” then after you download them, you can’t use them fully without paying 😡. This one’s actually free, and I love the setup! Thanks Paycheck Buddy 👍🏽
