Zoya: Halal Investing App Reviews

Zoya has been extremely useful! I loved the beta version of Zoya and I am so happy that Zoya has finally taken off into an official AppStore app. Zoya finally makes halal investing accessible. I don’t need to be a scholar of finance and I don’t need to constantly monitor companies individually. For the first time, I can access halal stocks and monitor their compliance with ease. Some key features I love about Zoya are the email updates that I receive to notify me that one of my watchlist stocks have become non-compliant. The email was timely, I went into my investment account and I sold the stock as soon as it happened. Another great feature I love about Zoya is that I can see what each company holds in compliant or non-compliant funds to allow me to make my own educated investment.
I am definitely excited to see Zoya continue to grow. I would love, in the future, as Zoya develops to see some new features like reports on spendings and earnings. It would be another great feature to add the option for automatic selling of investments that become non-compliant.
All in all, this is a great research app for anyone looking to make their money work for them and to build a halal, passive income. Invest young and invest often!
More over, the developers are extremely accommodating and answer emails in a timely manner. They are very respectful and I hope the best success for Zoya in the future!

There isn’t much anything like this out there. Most muslim investors I know just invest without following sharia guidelines because not many of us know that much about investing or financials so we just think about whether a company is good or not. We rarely think deeply about how it’s run which is also very important. Zoya helps with the process. It’s definitely the first step I use now and then try to follow it up with my own research and values.

Very good app and love how it gives the breakdown. No issues with the cost of the monthly subscription as $10 a month is a very fair price for all the information they provide. However, about 90% of the stocks market caps are outdated. This makes some of the stocks “non shariah compliant” but when you redo the math with updated market caps they should be halal. Any way to keep the market caps accurate coming in future updates ?

Selam Aleykum. I really loved Zoya , but i would really appreciate if there are more companies included in the next updates. I hope to see more Turkish companies.

On the other side, i would like to ask to add more charts for example top halal companies with the highest dividends, top halal companies.

this app is the only app I know of to check sharia compliance of stocks, mutual funds and ETF’s. They also have an active community where you can ask/answer investment related questions. Also, Joe Bradford is an advisor to this app and Joe is one of the most knowledgeable Scholars in the US for sharia compliant investing, and other issues of Islamic knowledge.

Great app but I feel like it should show us more details in their screening for example I saw a stock that said 100% of revenue is non-complaint interest income 100% for someone who’s just started getting into stock market and just learning difference between halal and haram stock I would really like more details with those screening so I myself can understand as to why it’s non-complaint and not just go with the flow

this app is fantastic and has truly revolutionized halal investing. We use this app to help us make decisions in operating multi-million dollar endowments. I am an avid fan. 💯

This level of insight and transparency into companies not only helps in identifying which stocks are halal but also in understanding the merits of them.

Zoya is absolutely brilliant, easy to navigate, great layout, and very useful features.

It’s really easy to understand for each different stock what does into the compliant/non-complaint. I also especially love the ‘compliant’ alternative option.

In order to feel confident about using Zoya to make decisions about purchasing stocks, can you please explain/list the criteria and conditions that makes a stock Shariah compliant not just a check mark? You can add this details in separate screen

Amazing app. Great work done by those who produced it to bring to the common consumer, basic yet detailed information collected/presented in a user friendly format that allows us to live and profit as modern day consumers whilst maintaing the core principals of our morality in tact.

I’m extremely illiterate when it comes to stocks and investing. I was always under the impression that these things were haram and there were no halal stocks available. But I’m so glad an app like this exists! Truly godsend.

There are hundreds of stocks listed within the apps not compliant with Shariah, I am wondering how come you guys advertising it sort of if it’s Haram or not compliant with Shariah.
In my opinion if it’s haram, it shouldn’t be there at all.

I appreciate the work that has been put into creating this app. It’s clean, intuitive, and makes do-it-yourself halal investing so much easier. You guys are definitely doing a huge service for the ummah!

I ended up selling all of my gme because I saw that it was non shariah compliant on Zoya . But these slackers haven’t updated Zoya for months , gmes market capital has skyrocketed but Zoya that charges $15 a month could not bother to update. Zoya is for profit and for profit only they don’t care about the consumer or the consumers portfolio. Look else where.

I lost out on a lot of GME gains because app doesn’t update in real time. There should be at least an option to let investors see in real time if a stock is sharia compliant. GME is listed as non sharia compliant because it had over 30% debt ratio, but now it’s way less after market cap changed but app still says non sharia compliant. Only found out when paid for premium. Smh

5 stars for the customer service. I had issues with the free trial but the team was very supportive with fixing the issue

This is an awesome app to find Shariah Complaint Stocks for a Swing and Long Term. Zoya has been saving my precious time. I recommend everyone who wants to invest their money in Halal Stocks.

I like that the stocks are separated by groups and there’s a breakdown of each stock in terms of it being halal and haram based on the shariah compliance. It would be nice to have more filters like organizing them in order by prices or how much volume it has etc. Since Zoya just came out I understand that updates will probably come later. Overall I think it’s a good app for those who need help with determining if a stock is halal or not

I've been using Zoya since it was in the beta stage. Extremely useful, has data on every stock I needed. Amazing resource for Muslim investors.

For anyone looking to invest and make sure what you invest in is halal, this is Zoya to get. Only app out there that does this!!!!
