Love Neil’s new website!!!

The sound quality is so great it reminds me of the good old days BEFORE CDs, cell phone and computer music that is so crappy it sounds like you’re listening through a large can. Stereo is listening to all the instruments individually and you can actually hear the guitar licks and drums cymbals. I’m wanting for the day when ALL technology goes back to the days of yesteryear when music SOUNDS like real music again. Neil’s fans appreciate all the hard work he has done making this website possible, and I am enjoying this dearly! Thank you Neil for making this possible, and thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Customer Service

HELP- I want my Neil Young! I have a paid account. It was switched to a free account by NeilYoungArchives access even though it was paid for. I have contacted them over 5 times in a month and one response saying they can’t find the account. I sent copies of all receipts and no reply. Apple canceled it when I reported it to them and was instructed to buy it again if I wanted it. I did that. I am charged through Apple now and NeilYoungArchives stated there is a problem with your account it is active. I look in my account and it says free account. I have no access. I love the music, music quality and all of its features but NeilYoungArchives won’t allow me. I have no access to the features but have paid for it a few times. There is no contact besides email.

INCREDIBLE!

There are tons of great things to say about NYA. Firstly, the sound is amazing! Secondly, I love the Free Song of the Day. Then there’s the Contrarian, a newspaper with lots of articles on politics (of course but that’s one thing I admire about Neil) and explanations on how some forms of sound are better than others and why, letters to the editor and more. NYA is very well done and it’s obvious a great deal of thought went into it. I’m not a raving Neil Young fan but my respect for him is growing bc of NYA and I’m finding I like a lot more of his music than the ones that got airplay.

24 bit streaming. Perfection! Love music again!

24 bit streaming right from the iPhone, so simple! Perfect sound with no breaking up like the lower bits files No more ssssss. Even the 16 bit files sound better than Streaming from Tidal?!
Why can’t Apple Music do this?
This is music streaming of the future!
I have Apple Music and Tidal, this is NeilYoungArchives I use most now. I wish all the music is on your web site, Neil, and all remastered in 24 bit.
Using NeilYoungArchives, music moves me again. I’m dancing and singing with it.

The Perfect app for every music fan, especially Classic Rock

The Neil Young Archives app is taylor made for both hardcore fans of the “Godfather of Grunge” & younger listeners who want to learn more about this legendary Canadian Rock singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist
From the “Free song of the day” & “Album of the week” to its own online newsletter, NeilYoungArchives has everything you’ve ever needed, and it’s amazing to hear that you can stream his extensive catalogue as well 👂🏻 😉 👨‍🎤 🇨🇦

App doesn’t even have a proper icon

NeilYoungArchives itself works well, but when I signed up for this we were supposed to have access, without downloading rights, to his library. But now, you can only play one “free album” and you have to pay a membership fee for the rest. When I first joined, we were given access to all of the music, but now we don’t have access to it.

Not only that but the account refused to except my password and now I am locked out of the account that I was given. And there is nobody to talk to you to unlock my account so I can reset my password.

Neil does it again

Continuing his efforts to improve digital audio quality, Neil has hit a home run here with a well-designed app that provides great sound (and flexibility when using a cellular connection) to enjoy even more his broad catalog of music.

Now, if this technology could also be used with other artists’ music as well.....

Yes yes yes

I’m a strict vinyl only type guy. When NeilYoungArchives came I immediately downloaded and subscribed. It’s the only streaming service I’m willing to pay for. Why? Because the sound quality makes me feel at home listening to high fidelity stereo. But really I’ve got headphones on walking around. Highly recommend checking it out!

Sound Quality!!!

I am deaf in one ear and 60db down in the other. Most of the music I hear is streamed on my hearing aid from my iPhone. Tonight for the first time in 15 years I heard the springs on the lower head of a snare drum and fingers slide on the strings of a bass. And these were songs from the sound track of my youth 45 years ago. Thanks NYA!

The Sound!

Toggling between the levels of playback is quite revealing and shows just what Neil has been complaining about for 30 years or so—digital format was/is a scam. Really glad he did this. Now ... we need playlists for the iPhone app.

Doesn’t work, unhelpful support

I’ve had a bunch or correspondence with tech support because I’m being repeatedly kicked out to the login screen on both iPhone and iPad, and both NeilYoungArchives , and now the website, will hang on the red spinning insert (the page does work on my PC).

Their response times are pretty slow, and now they tell me they lost all our correspondence and I basically have to start off from scratch.

Neil’s done it again

The difference is in the sound! Awesome app with amazing features. NY allows you to listen to his discography the way it should be heard. Some navigation features are less than perfect, but I can’t wait to see NeilYoungArchives evolve

Yeah

It works. Sounds great. Especially with unlimited data — NeilYoungArchives default setting is to use CD quality if you’re on cellular but you can adjust the settings to high res all the time. Been using the site all year and NeilYoungArchives does it justice.

By

Better than expected

I’ve been using NYA for a long time. I think it’s easier to navigate using NeilYoungArchives than it is on the actual site. Great job!
If you like Neil pay for the subscription...It’s well worth it‼️😀

Can’t log in

I installed version 1.6.1 on a brand new iPhone XR running iOS 12.4. Log in hangs on the spinning 45 adapter.
I’ve deleted and reinstalled.

Sonic boom

You can actually feel the strings being plucked and hear and feel the low end E string when struck. The fidelity is unmatched by any live music or music app period. Thanks Neil Love that our ears are getting their fair share of genius

app doesn’t work

when I first became a member it was working fine now NeilYoungArchives no longer works doesn’t show the timeline to be able to listen to the music and they charge you for it anyway. Unable to contact customer support it goes to a 404 message

“There’s a lot to learn..”

If you like Neil’s music, or maybe are looking for proof that music can come in hi res through your phone, this is your place.
I love his music (it’s what got me to pick up a guitar), so this works well for me.

Down with Neil

If Neil Young is such a protestor he should have went on joe rogans podcast to have an actual discussion with him over his differences. Developed an argument and hashed this out like grown men. Joe rogan still supported Neil even though he disagrees with him. Neil’s handling of this, is exactly why our democracy is in the place it is currently. People get angry… and walk away stopping feet like children instead of looking at the opposing viewpoint and saying… hmm that’s interesting. I still think you are wrong, but I understand you and your choices now. Joe rogans character shines.
