The Keyto app is really lame. So let’s just forget that the companion device is a cheap piece of mass produced plastic and deal with just the buggy app.
This was originally marketed as a easy approach to helping people start the keto diet and maintain ketosis. Promises of an app that will help you get to and maintain ketosis is a dismal failure!!!
The app only contains a handful of articles, FAQs and pretty lame community discussion area. There is no real interaction between the companion device and you as an individual. The app doesn’t tell you which foods you should eat to kick yourself up a level in ketosis… It doesn’t even have a food journal to evaluate what you may be consuming that is causing you to fail at getting into ketosis. Something you would think would be a no brainer! I mean no food Journal is such huge fail!!!
Essentially all this is, is a digital version of a Ketosis pee strip. It doesn’t tell you anything significant, or how to get into ketosis on an individual level. Something their marketing leads you to believe is going to happen with the less than magical pairing of tech and app.
-No food journal-fail
-No individual evaluation-fail
-Buggy software that doesn’t work with larger font-fail
-Poor content-fail, (you can find more online)
-Lame social community-fail
-Lack of individual guidance-fail
-Glorified Digital Pee trip-success.

As others have said, the dietary tracking lists are minimal and cumbersome to use. “Coaching” is canned messages pushed out in response to some activity in the app. I haven’t received a “coaching” message since the day I stopped recording in the app few weeks ago - I’d have expected some sort of encouragement to continue. There’s no way to contact anyone for coaching support within the app and you can’t reply to the messages you receive. I’d pay something other than $50 to be able to keep using the breathalyzer without the other aspects of the app, but there’s no option for that. $100 breathalyzer and $50 1 month membership down the drain.

I bought this after seeing a convincing ad. I have been using pee strips. So the first try this device had me at level 6. I doubted it. So I tried again..this time a 7. Ehhhhh? I tried a pee strip...no ketosis not even pink, I had eaten a piece of chocolate shortly before. Incredulous I tried again...and again a 7. Does this thing work at all? The package is pretty, But there is no manual..only a sales pitch to get on their subscription recipes etc. So here I am looking for a manual...some explanation of why I get ridiculous readings. I don't believe the reviews above are all so high. Someone surely edits these reviews. We will see if my remains on the site. For now I feel this was a waste of money. Take care before buying.
