I’m able to log in to my account online...so why can’t I using LACountyLibrary? “Sorry we didn’t recognize your credentials. Please try again.”

The new E-card library numbers and pins don’t work at the log in screen pelase fix

My ebook just become available today. Great! I go to my “holds” to grab it. But sadly, no option to actually retrieve the ebook. Oh also, no ‘help’ option on LACountyLibrary .

What’s the point?

I was so excited about LACountyLibrary, but it won’t even recognize my account number and PIN. Tried several times and no go. Maybe another update will fix it? Also, it’s crazy that they used a developer from the UK rather than an LA-based county-approved vendor. How does that work? Who decided that one???

Accessing my account was easy. Scanned my card and entered the pin. No problem.

But when I attempted to place a book on hold it wants me to enter the card number again and the scan option doesn’t even work. Make it simple. I’m logged in on LACountyLibrary . Use my account info you already have and don’t make me enter it again. No, making me scan it again is not a simple solution even if it worked. I may have my phone with me everywhere I go but not my library card. You know who I am because I’m logged in. Use that.

What I had most hoped for in LACountyLibrary isn’t simple to use, but should be simple to fix.

It won’t scan my barcode. When entering the number and pin manually it won’t log in. This happens both on the iPhone and the iPad app. When logging in on the website, all works is fine. LACountyLibrary is unfortunately useless.

Constantly logs me out, then says my credentials are incorrect (when they are not). Very helpful app when working correctly though!

I’m glad that the library has finally updated it’s app, but there still much improvement needed. Half the time I can’t even get LACountyLibrary to work properly. Even though I’ve already linked other family member library cards, it doesn’t show what books they have checked out and I have to enter the information all over again.

And when are we going to get notifications when books are due???

I’ve been using LACountyLibrary for a couple of days and I can say that this was a pretty good app. I was able to see what books I can get at my local library and order some books as well, but now LACountyLibrary won’t let me log in. I was logged in earlier today but now I can’t log in. This is a good app but they should really fix this problem.

You can show your card in LACountyLibrary , but it doesn’t add the card to your Apple Wallet. It is not that hard for an app to do. And easy access of cards in the wallet makes it so you don’t have to find LACountyLibrary that I barely use for anything else.

Logged out and now I can't log back in, even though I can log into the website with the same credentials. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no change.

Allow us to renew items all at once! This is a standard library app procedure for other local libraries.

You should also make searches more accessible for the general browser. There is much to be done that could make this library better.

Please add or migrate the lists we have created on the website. We would like the ability to create lists of items.

Overall app appears to be useful/helpful but errors out when trying to add my library card to Apple Wallet.

App has been down for several days now. App is “unable to connect to server”.

I can't log in suddenly. I could do so last week, and can log in on the website, so what's up?🤔

It worked great when I first installed it. Next day, couldn’t log in. I hope that gets fixed soon.

I love LACountyLibrary!

The recent update made LACountyLibrary so much better! Details like how long a book will be on hold at your local library is a great addition! As well as being to renew all the books you currently have to check out.

The improvements I’d like to see is a date range with how long I will need to wait for a book or ebook that I have on hold.
Also sometimes LACountyLibrary glitches and signs me out and I can’t sign back in. Sometimes I can get back into LACountyLibrary for a day or two.

Besides that I really can’t complain. This is a wonderful app that pulled me back into using my local county library on a weekly basis. Thank you LA County Library!! ♥️♥️♥️

LACountyLibrary works great with the latest updates. I especially like being able to load the cards for the whole family and share across devices.

What a creative and innovative naming the new item: Mifi!

As soon as you launched the monthly news on March 1st of 2024 to announce new service Connect & Go for hotpot loan, I searched it using LACountyLibrary, nothing showed thru search box, tried using keywords like Hotspot, Hotspot Only, Connect & Go, Connect & Go Hotspot, etc… Only the combo Laptop + Hotspot showed up, not the new one for solely hotspot.

Your staff showed me to search by using keyword Connect Hotspot, LACountyLibrary shows other items but not Hotspot.
I tried on your website, it shows there!
What kind of database that LACountyLibrary is referring to for searching?

The new app is so easy to use. I was able to download an ebook and read it instantly. I also loved seeing events at my local library.

Please, add a feature where we can make a comment or like a book we have read. Allow people to read reviews about a book. Make it easier to decide if we want to check out any particular book based on reviews. Also, allow us to follow/add ‘friends’ if we notice people are into the same books.

LACountyLibrary has single-handedly changed my library patron experience! It’s so easily to search and place holds on items to pick up at my local branch, and just as easy to renew my checked out books that I’m not yet finished with! Love it.
