I am new to your app and I’m already hooked! It’s extremely informative, entertaining, and accurate, too. It’s as if you have an “insider’s” crystal ball looking into CT’s short/long term weather! I already signed up for “lifetime membership” and will look forward to each and every notification as they come, especially the ❄️❄️ ones! One final note: we lost our entire home in the May 15, 2018, macroburst/tornado and are just about ready to move back in the week before Christmas... FINALLY!! We will be happy to have your daily weather predictions to follow as we try to restart our life.

You have to pay outside of Apple AppStore via PayPal to access CTWeatherNews and it automatically sets you up for recurrent yearly payments. It is nothing like the pictures posted on the description on CTWeatherNews Store. The colors are harsh and hard to read. The admin posts nonsense and non-weather related info “by accident” and/or claims CTWeatherNews was hacked. Notifications should go by date, but somehow the admin knocks it out of whack at least once a week so all the posts are out of order. I downloaded CTWeatherNews due to his Facebook page and the accuracy of his forecasts, but CTWeatherNews just isn’t worth it. If it’s a paid app, it should be a well oiled machine prior to requesting payment from anyone.

I have been following JD through Facebook for a while now, I was really excited to see there was an app coming out! Yes there is some bugs, but talk to JD via chat, or fb messenger and the bugs will get fixed to the best of their ability. Also any suggestions for CTWeatherNews , also just send a message! I love that JD is local, caring, and all together just an average person!! Thank you all, JD, developers, and everyone else who made this happen!

CTWeatherNews requires a subscription and sends users to an external website which collects your credit card information for the monthly fee. This goes against Apple’s TOS; CTWeatherNews developer is avoiding Apple’s 30% commission from all in-app purchases. I canceled within my first month of service and continued to be billed (as have many others). When you do a legit in-app purchase, the transaction goes through Apple and the 3rd party developer never sees your CC info. Neither the developer nor owner of CTWeatherNews , Joey Durso (aka JD) will respond to anything. Go to JD’s Facebook page and you’ll see millions of complaints about CTWeatherNews. SCAM.

Revised review with a reduction in stars! I paid for a lifetime subscription a couple years ago for only $5, and CTWeatherNews worked marginally at best. I continuously needed to delete and reinstall. The last time I did this, I tried to reload it, and there is now no record of my lifetime subscription. Not only that...the content is rarely accurate, which is highly expected when predicting the weather, but the convoluted forecasting methods on CTWeatherNews are ridiculous and rarely come to fruition. Do NOT waste your money!

You will not find a more accurate forecast than what JD brings. JD’s passion for accurate weather is something I’ve never seen. I don’t even use any other weather app out there since this came out for iOS. Join JD and his passion for up to date and the most accurate weather forecasts you’ll find.

I like CTWeatherNews and the information that’s communicated. However, the frequency is a problem. Nothing for days and then notifications galore for a day or two. Then nothing again. Multiple notifications minutes apart saying the same stuff over and over. So then I changed my settings so I wouldn’t get any notifications. Well I’m still getting them even though I’ve saved my settings multiple times. I’m ready to delete.

CTWeatherNews had some bugs but it seems to have worked itself out as does all new apps have issues at first. JD adds humor and charm while giving you valuable predictions on the weather.

I love the notifications and updates throughout the day! It always helps to have a heads-up. However, I find it very difficult to read a white font on a light blue background or grey sky with white and gray cloud cover background. It would also be helpful if the font was larger. Thanks, and keep up the good work!

JD is a great meteorologist. He always keeps us posted weeks before a storm is coming. You can tell he spends a great deal of time worrying about his people. He always answers questions through entire storm. He is the best.

When everyone else is saying one weather report, CTWeatherNews will give you the most accurate forecast in a friendly and easy to understand manner! I love that 100% proceeds go to Wounded Warriors project and another very noteworthy charity! Highly recommend!

Why would you pay for weather when there are many other free apps that are right in ct. those people keep you informed. This guy “jd“ disappears when ever the weather event is happening. Has been known to steal other peoples forecasts. He sends out notifications after the fact or rambling ones before that make hardly any sense and looks like a kindergartner wrote them. Go with southern ct weather or eweather for ct.

I have been following JD for quite some time and finally decided to get CTWeatherNews . Unfortunately, CTWeatherNews has not worked for me very often. Most times I log in I can not open the updates and have to delete CTWeatherNews and reload it every time I want to see an update. If It doesn’t start to work properly I’ll be discontinuing my membership. I don’t have time to reload each time I want to see an update!

I’ve been following and supporting CT Weather & News on Facebook for almost 2 years and was excited about CTWeatherNews however I’m a bit disappointed. I know this is a work in progress so I’m hoping for improvements. My main issue is that when I first launch CTWeatherNews it’s unresponsive and I have to kill it and relaunch it a 2nd time to get it to respond.

Love the notifications throughout the day(s.). Always giving up to the minute news/weather.

The description fails to tell you that there is a fee. It’s not disclosed in the terms either. Or how to cancel or if there is a cancellation fee. It just pops up after it asks you to register. And no limited time free trial period? What if I proceed to pay and then try CTWeatherNews and not like it? Can I A) get a refund B) discontinue being charged
Until this is clear in the terms i will be deleting CTWeatherNews .

It’s no wonder JD has almost 50,000 followers. His forecasts are on point and CTWeatherNews provides his followers with a way of staying up to date with the weather.

I love CTWeatherNews! Always ahead of the local news channels weather forecast, ALL the TIME.... thanks JD for all your work in the background! Keep up the great work.

I purchased a membership a few days ago, and I love the accuracy of the forecasts, however almost every time I open CTWeatherNews , it’s unresponsive and I have to delete it and reload it to get it to work again. Very frustrating considering I paid for this.

I think JD does a n excellent job. An out does the tv forecasters by a mile. He give not only a good true fire cast. But gives a heads up so you can get ready for what is coming .

I followed on FB but a totally disappointed in CTWeatherNews.
Only think is good the money went
To make a wish.
He says more on FB then on CTWeatherNews
You paid for and CTWeatherNews is very hard to use.
