Wonderfully functional and simple

EatWise is almost perfect in its designed functionality and allows me to easily set reminders to eat according to my own schedule with one click of a button. My favorite features are that it automatically calculates my remaining meals based on when I actually eat a particular meal and that I can easily add extra “meals” on a one off basis. BUT…I wish that It integrated with my Apple watch so that I could respond to a reminder with a “Eat Now” response or something similar. This would take EatWise from awesome to SPECTACULAR!

Great app

I, too, like several others who’ve post - am on the Optivia meal plan. EatWise was recommended to me when I started a few weeks ago and love it. I’m in complete agreement with the suggestions made by others about being able to log what was eaten, being able to track water intake, and adding the “eating now” to the Apple Watch format. One other request I have is being able to remove a meal time. For example, I added extra meal times, but found I didn’t need them - but can’t see how to remove them. I don’t need to get alerts for these extra times since I’d gone to bed.

Simple but Crucial App

I do DIY Optivia and I credit EatWise for my success on this way of eating. There is no way that I could have kept track of my eating times (every 2.45 hours) on my own. I also love the weigh-in feature that shows me where I began. The only tweak that I would love to see on that side of things would be the date of my weekly weigh-ins. Unless I am totally missing something, I see week 1-now 36 😊. I would love to see the actual date as well so that I could pinpoint potential problems or achievements.

Never worked!

The theory is great, but I couldn’t get this thing to work right! At first, I couldn’t figure out why I was setting the times on this every single day, and then I realized there was a morning notification you have to tap first to get it going. Then some
days I’d get the morning reminder and some I wouldn’t (like today). I also wish it gave you more than just an hour after wakeup for your first meal. What if you have an hour workout at the gym? You’re still likely to have to drive home and shower before you eat breakfast! I’m looking for an app that lets me sets the FIRST time of the morning, spaces out my notifications from there, and simply do that EVERY DAY. I don’t want to have to fiddle with this thing to get it to work. I’m done.

Crash when submitting feedback

EatWise has crashed three times when I’ve submitted feedback just to try to point out a misspelling. The “weigh-in” records screen are incorrectly labeled “weight-in”. Just trying to help but the crash won’t allow me to report so submitting this way. Thanks-

Easy to use otherwise, just wish it allowed me to customize how long after a missed meal that it allowed me to tap for completion instead of turn to an “x”. I give myself up to an hour after reminder but EatWise does not and I have to reconfigure throughout the day.

Thanks!

New Day Dawning

I’m a diabetic 2. CKD it’s common among diabetics. ( CKD means chronic kidney disease) I now have chronic kidney disease and it is a lot too understand what types of food I may or may not eat. You might think spinach is OK, but it has pure in something that I can’t have because of my kidney failure. So now I am working to keep my hunger at bay myI sugars evenly balanced by eating small meals every 2 1/2 hours. I am hopeful that this schedule wii provide the eveness that I desire in my blood sugar. EatWise helps remind me gently but persistently that it’s time to eat. The only thing that could make it better would be suggestions of what to eat.

I have NEVER taken the time to time to write a review! Perhaps I’m (getting old) or always figured the majority of the time what comes out of mouth is let’s say (less then positive). Therefore, I TRY to keep my comments to myself as taught! Yet this time I’m thrilled! So let it be heard. Well here goes...EXCELLENT JOB. Truly I am a horrible eater. I came across EatWise let’s give it a go...Regardless, EatWise is very user friendly so thank you to whomever put it together. Very easy setup. Let’s see if I can do it. Thx again

Aggravating App

EatWise drove me crazy. After setting it up I thought I’d be good to go and keep my eating on track. On day two I was surprised to realize that it hadn’t given me any warnings that day. That’s because you have to start it EVERY DAY. I couldn’t for the life of me find out how to make it automatic each day.

Also, the warnings just don’t stop from tapping on my watch or from the notification screen. You have to unlock your phone, open EatWise , and then tell it to stop. This is fairly maddening.

After putting up with it for less than a week I’ve deleted it. Apps and notifications are supposed to make getting things done easier, not aggravating. Now I’m looking for another solution.

Fantastic app for meal reminders!!

Awesome app for meal reminders throughout the day for diet purposes. It’s great how EatWise adjusts for remainder of the day once actual eat time is stamped in. Possible improvements would be an alarm for the first eating and thus being able to preschedule the first eating. Also, to be able to access eating schedules from previous days to notice if one day or group of days is better than others. Thank you!

Great but wish i could add notes

I love EatWise but two things would really elevate EatWise for me: one wish I could add a short note to each time so that I can document what I ate. It would save me from having to use multiple apps to document food or meds that need to be taken with food. Two, wish this connected to my Fitbit notifications. I don’t always have my phone with me and would be great to get notifications on my watch reminding me to eat! Small nitpicks but would really make EatWise a life saver for me!

Great app!

The idea of EatWise is so simple. It is hands down one of the best apps for nutrition and health. It helps me stay on track eating every couple hours with the time in between that I desire. I eat every 2 1/2 hours or so but you can change the reminder to whatever you want. It is so easy to use and I definitely recommend to at least download and see how beneficial it is for you.

Fantastic reminder

I use EatWise to remind me to eat something every 2.5 hours. I love that works with Apple Watch app, so I never miss a reminder ahead so time and I can put off my next eating reminder by 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes. This is very handy. I do wish it had an extra option to tap saying that I’m eating now. I wish I didn’t have to go to my phone app to confirm that I ate. 4.5/5.0 stars.

Love this app!

I have been on a weight loss journey and EatWise has been instrumental in helping me to eat at intervals according to my meal plan. Easy to use and very customizable. Also impressed that I submitted feedback on additional features I would like to see them add, and received a response immediately. Will continue to use and share with friends.

Great with one minor tweak needed

This is great for meal timing with the Optabia meal plan. Takes all the Brian work out of reminding you to eat. I love that it sends reminders to my Apple Watch especially! However. It does need a mark as ate option on the watch and not just dismiss. Sometimes at work you are just not near your phone but could mark on the watch! 5 stars for the phone but the Apple Watch part needs one more tweak! Very worthy app

Great!!!

I love EatWise! It is SIMPLE to use and I like the friendly reminders even on my Apple Watch. It’s nice to be able to push off my meals by 5 or 10 minutes too! I do wish there was a way to name the meals and keep the same name everyday so each day I knew which meal or snack I was eating if I ever forgot! Which I do!! But overall this is a great app!!!

Overall good

I wish that EatWise could vibrate for the deaf people since it only makes noises. We deaf have to keep looking at our phone for the notifications while hearing can just hear the tones. It’s a bit annoying having to look every time when it could just vibrate for us. Also wish it was hooked or teamed with Fitbit for vibrating. Many apps have vibrating

App love

So, I do love EatWise and have used it for one week now on the Optavia diet.
The one thing that could be better is for it to automatically repeat for the next day and also would be great if each time you eat I could write what I ate so I have a record.
If EatWise actually does allow me to do that can someone please walk me through it?

Amazingly simple

I love how easy it is to use EatWise. Some apps can be so confusing with all the different areas you need to go thru to get results. Not this one. It’s a no-brainer. I tap when I’ve had my first meal and boom.... the rest of my day is scheduled. Just found the weight tracker on it as well. Very nice and simple. Please keep it that way!

Great App

Love EatWise. The most difficult thing for me to do is to eat at the proper times for the diet regiment I’m on. I get so busy I forget to eat or I eat constantly because I’m bored or just vegging out. The only thing that would make it better is to allow us to journal what we eat at each meal.

By

Such a great app!

Only thing I wish is that EatWise kept a log of when you ate for the last week or so. Instead of just keeping it for the day. It would be easier to track down what I need to change about my schedule.
