Sketch a Day Reviews

The new update was very lack luster and you are not able to upload the daily prompts without ads taking over and see can no longer see the recent art from others as you were previously. I sent a message to the customer support just to get an message back from Tom telling me to delete the free app if I was so unhappy. Talk about a letdown I’ve been on SketchaDay for a couple years and have really enjoyed it up until the recent update, figuring that I would reach out to support and they would give some tips to manage the new system and to be told that I’m not worth anything because I don’t pay and delete the free app, dear Tom, that is not the way that you do customer service

Hey so sketch a day is great I can share my art work and I love that and I love discovering amazing artists but it will glitch we’re it will not let me see today’s prompt and I have great Internet connection but sometimes it will never load also sometimes the prompts are weird and just not fun to draw I think they should make multiple prompts for the day but overall it is pretty good thanks for reading this and reading all my typos I know there are some in anyway yeah good app

The only reason I’m giving a three star is because they deleted one of my posts and when I delete a post it still says it’s there. I have 25 sketches but it says I have 29. And it says I have 646 likes but I really only have 616. So the one they deleted had 30 likes. But it still shows on profile that it’s there (doesn’t even show the drawing). I like it when they can tell us why they deleted it, There was nothing wrong with the drawing! I even put a adult filter!! This pisses me off, fix it.

Overall, I love SketchaDay. I sometimes find it hard to think of something to sketch. With SketchaDay, each day a topic is given for you to use your imagination and create a sketch. It gets you thinking of things to draw that you never would have thought of yourself.
Once you’re done with your sketch, you can post it. You’re able to see other users sketches and you can “like” them.
I just wish it had a little bit more to SketchaDay . Maybe some sketching tips or some more options. It would be nice to be able to add a caption to your sketch, as well.

It is a really awesome app to share and see other people’s drawing!You can even like and comment on people posts you can talk to people in the comments and it’s really fun but a disclaimer if you copy some please do say that you copies them is not fair to copy someone and claim it as your own not only is it unfair rude and a jerky move it’s also illegal so please do get SketchaDay and be honest (I got the copyright thing from the producer of the game) Thank have a beautiful and wonderful rest of your day or night

It helps me keep up my artistic hobbies and see other people's creativity, and gives me inspiration when I don't know what to draw. I like that old submissions can be edited, but I wish the photo on the old one could also be edited without deleting the post. I have a photo one one of mine where the lighting isn't great and I accidentally turned the picture sideways, and I can't fix it now.

This is a great app if you are stuck on ideas and getting motivated to draw in general. Like the description says, it is pretty simple and you can get into the art mood pretty easily. Don’t wait and definitely try it out. There are so many artists that have brilliant art pieces and you can even find out artists new to SketchaDay . Honestly I can’t believe that there are only a few hundred of people using this.

SketchaDay is amazing it gives you one prompt every day and you can see other peoples work and yours not only that but you can submit a your own work to show and maybe even win no lag and you can see previous prompts from the day before if you missed them all in all SketchaDay is awesome and great for anyone who can’t think of something to draw with

I have greatly enjoyed using Sketch a Day! The community has been very supportive and uplifting, I’ve not experienced any negativity at all. There are artists from very small and basic to very skilled! It has encouraged me to draw once again! I would highly recommend SketchaDay. They give you a theme every day and depending on your interpretation, you draw and submit. Really cool to see those that think outside of the box! It is my favorite app! Get drawing!!!

SketchaDay is a quick and easy go to place to get ideas on things to draw. It's a motivational tool to help put ink to paper everyday by spending less time and being overwhelmed when searching online. As a person learning to draw, needing an extra crutch and confidence boost, it would be nice if a quick tutorial was included along side the 'ideas'. Defiantly like that the developer is engaged and hasn't disappeared as other apps have. Good work 'Sketch A Day'!

It’s an amazing place to come to , for practicing new things finding new interesting art supplies like you could move from alcohol markers to watercolor . And they even give you ideas of what to draw! Isn’t that just simply amazing?! Not only those great features but they also have a incredibly kind and understanding community which makes it great for beginners to share there art without to much judgement! And I just love that you still have many options without VIP it’s just amazing. It’s a great way to show your art . Might I add it isn’t the most popular app , which is also a bad thing , sad it’s underrated but it lowers the chance of it somehow getting hacked. If your an artist of any type I recommend this ! I recently started drawing as a hobby because I always loved drawing as a kid. I wanted to find an app that had a community of artists where I could upload my sketches and I really love my experience so far. The themes are great and give me a direction to go with my art and I love seeing artists being supportive of other’s works. It really helps motivate you to draw no matter what your skill level is since everyone can participate. I look forward to seeing SketchaDay continue to grow in the future!

About 2 months ago I got more into drawing, but I never knew what to draw. Someone in my class kept talking about Sketch a Day. So I downloaded it and I have over a 70 day streak. SketchaDay is great because I really struggled with coming up with something to draw, so when SketchaDay prompts you everyday to draw something new, it gets my creativity flowing. It’s also a really nice community there. I really enjoy the comments feature because when someone leaves a nice comment on your drawing, you feel good. And when you leave a nice comment on someone else’s drawing, it makes you feel good because you know you’re making that person feel good. I absolutely LOVE SketchaDay. I totally recommend downloading SketchaDay if you struggle to come up with an idea to draw, want to share your artworks, meet new people, and fill up your time. I hope my review helped you. 😃

Joined to improve/sharpen my illustration hand skills. Getting a daily random subject to illustrate is a great way for me to unlock my creativity. Drawing every day is helping me to hone my skills and style.
Additionally I set a 30 minute time limit for myself to push myself to work rapidly. Love seeing the creativity ways others around the world interpret the same subject matter, being able to Like and Comment on their work makes for an overall positive community. Exactly what I was looking for!

I originally installed SketchaDay half a year ago, in the hopes of getting my creative juices working. I am seriously surprised when I found out not a lot of people are using it. Not only do you have friendly interactions with others, but you also have the amazing art pieces on here. SketchaDay functions brilliantly as I get to see the less known artists with their different kind of pieces. Additionally, your age doesn’t matter at all. You can publish your pieces without any trouble. It’s easy and compatible for everyone.

So, great ap, it’s easy to post things etc, but I can’t seem to find the terms and conditions, and too many ads I’m okay with the ones who are just pop ups, but the ones that take over, your entire screen are so annoying, all in all you need SketchaDay, so many people will love your art and using it made me feel like people outside of my friend group liked my art and that I could get good feed back and constructive criticism and tips, this is a great app for ambitious artists who have absolutely no creativity!

SketchaDay is great for anyone needing inspiration, practice, or feedback! SketchaDay is amazing because there’s a community of people filled with everyone from beginners to pros! You can even filter different mediums. I’ve never encountered any rude comments here, and the only nasty comment I’ve ever seen disappeared and the account was suspended within minutes-they have a great moderation system. You can interact with other artists by replying to posts or comments, and you can even favorite them to sort through new works of your favorite creators! I love SketchaDay! Most of the time when I want to draw, I’m not sure what to draw, or I’m stuck drawing the same old stuff I always do. SketchaDay helps me to think outside of my normal creative box and I feel like I have improved a lot as an artist! Or at least I’ve uncovered some talents I didn’t realize I had. Both of which, I think is great!!!

The only two things I would really like to see added to SketchaDay is 1): A way to view the art you’ve liked from other people. I find that I wish I could go back and look at art I’ve liked, but there’s not really an easy way to do that unless I happened to favorite the artist.
And 2): A way to edit a post without having to delete it and do it over. Sometimes after I’ve posted, and it has been liked and/or commented on, I realize that I spelled something wrong in the description, but I can’t fix it unless I want to start over.
If either of these things (or both), could be added to SketchaDay I know me and at least a few other people would love it!

SketchaDay is amazing & it sure inspires me to draw.. but I wonder about digital and the people who paint 🎨 on paper. Everyone is amazing artist. But I feel like digital artist don’t get as much likes as the ones that paints..
I could be wrong but that’s what I’m seeing. And I think because the monitors might think 💭 we either trace or manipulate a photo when our artwork is great. And truthfully I was thinking of backing out & delete SketchaDay. I really don’t want to. Right now ivy is for tomorrow drawing. I was going to draw her and then leave as my last artwork.
This review has nothing to do with the developer, but how people look at the different medium we use and how they are us. Thank you.

SketchaDay is a great way to extend your range of art study. I’ve spent most of my time studying anatomy and perspective, so when I was prompted to draw an oven, though I wasn’t too stoked at first about drawing an oven, the learning process was a lot more fun than I imagined it would be. Definitely recommend SketchaDay to anyone who has a hard time figuring out what to draw or at least anyone willing to learn to draw anything. PS…I NEVER leave written reviews, THATS how much I appreciate the concept behind SketchaDay
