Quite honestly haven’t used an app developed so poorly in years. Setting up the free 14 day trial was a nightmare to begin with. Things are disorganized and hard to find or make sense of, especially with the lack of any sort of search bar. Half if not more of the videos won’t even load, let alone stream to our smart TV (granted I’m also streaming through a brand new iPhone 12 pro max, so it’s not my phone nor my tv). I’m honestly emailing pvolve Monday (because they won’t even give a phone number to call) and asking for a return label to send back all of the overpriced equipment that I just ordered. Between the price of the equipment and how horribly their app is put together, they should just offer free lifetime use of their program considering more than half of what is advertised simply won’t even work. & to top it all off the very few videos I did get up on my tv and working force quit half way through the workout and won’t reload. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I’ve been doing P.volve for 2 years and love the workouts, but this latest app update has completely ruined the user experience. The workouts used to have unique names so it was easy to find your favorites by searching for the title. With this update they removed the unique names and gave dozens of workouts the exact same generic name so that you can’t tell them apart. And they removed the search feature (the filter feature doesn’t help). So trying to find your favorite workouts is now a frustrating, time-consuming nightmare that ends with you giving up after wasting half your workout time!!! And this new app blatantly copies the Peloton format, look, and workout titles, so the P in P.volve apparently now stands for Peloton wannabe! Pathetic! Despite absolutely loving the workouts I’m seriously considering cancelling my membership because this app makes the whole experience a miserable one. Life’s too short to suffer through apps designed like this!

I did p.volve for about two years, and it wasn’t until I stopped recently that I really recognized how damaging the messaging is. If you’ve ever struggled with body image I would really reconsider using this program, it absolutely makes thinness the goal rather than health. They encourage you to measure your thighs to track progress, and they put the fear of god in you regarding “bulking,” which is ridiculous. This workout is designed to shape women into one body type - tiny waist, tiny thighs, tiny arms - and when it doesn’t happen you can’t help but feel bad. When I was doing the program I thought I was too smart to fall for that, but once I finally cancelled my subscription I realized I completely fell for it, hook line and sinker. Most bodies can’t be forced into that shape, and shouldn’t be. Thinness doesn’t equal healthy, just like fat doesn’t equal unhealthy. Please, if you have any history with poor body image, disordered eating or obsessive exercise, don’t do p.volve.
