The only reason this app doesn’t have five stars...
The only reason this app doesn’t have five stars, is because the old reviews are talking about a different app entirely. Sorry to restate the title but it wouldn’t let me post it with a title that long. Opera may have been lesser in the past, but now it is the perfect app for anyone who can navigate the internet without getting distracted every five seconds, because that’s another problem entirely. Opera has the feed feature which can send webpages or text to this chat that is between you and a computer that you can attach to your account, but the computer isn’t even needed. The computer is only if you sign into your account on Opera on your computer and link the devices. Opera also protects your devices like google, but can block ads and pop-ups on default. It can also remember your sign-ins, it has a cryptocurrency mining protection setting, it can also keep account of your payment methods like an online wallet, so shopping sites that save them can’t keep them and you don’t have to re-enter them all the time. There is also a private mode, that makes it so non of the sign-ins or browsing history is saved, which most browsers do the second part but skip the first. To round out, Opera keeps you browsing the internet efficiently and protected so long as you tell it to (just turn on the settings once and they will stay on). Oh, and one more thing.. you can erase the cookies your device keeps from sites with it as well.

10/10 when you pair with Opera
I'm IT staff for a school district. I've been using Opera on all my windows machines for longer than my career.. all because of the security and resource drain when in background. Try running chrome on a linux/windows 2011 thinkpad. It's a nightmare. Even manages more idle power draw when I clamshell my laptop. Chrome is meant for chromebooks. Opera for any pc. That being said. Opera Touch is literally everything I never knew I wanted in a mobile browser. It's amazing. Real legitimate tab management and built in ad-blocking on an iOS platform is insanely convenient. I use my secured Opera account and my iCloud keychain as my only password managers. They outright and upfront choose user privacy and security over data collection and targeted advertisement. Switch to Opera. Switch to Opera Touch. The seamless integration with your accounts, info, browsing data, all stored securely for you and only you. Also seriously stop using Chrome. And use duckduckgo... gmail is a decent mail service, but they do not care to hide that they sell user data and use search patterns to target you with ads. This isn't a tinfoil rant, it's 2019. The internet has changed faster than web browsers. Time to change browsers.

Almost perfect
If you don't want Google following you EVERYWHERE, but Firefox's iOS version is too clunky for you (like it is for me), this is likely your best bet for a Safari alternative. Opera mobile gives you the fast, silky smooth, feature -full mobile experience without the privacy-breaking tracker haven Google offers (Chrome iOS). Especially if you're a user of Opera desktop (or the new beta of Opera GX), Opera mobile's features are actually useful and they feel finished, unlike Mozilla's constantly-behind iOS version of their flagship Firefox browser. In fact, the only gripe I had with Opera Touch was the controls occasionally feeling a bit fidgety. Overall, it wasn't a major issue by any means, though. As much as I like Firefox Quantum on my Macbook & Desktop, the mobile browser goes to Opera Touch for me, and I've even started to use Opera's desktop offerings alongside Firefox as well because of Touch's usability. Give it a try, it's free. And I promise, you won't regret it.
