USAF Connect Reviews

This application works just as how you’d expect a government computer to work. It constantly freezes, it has an unbearable delay in reaction time and it won’t log you in saying its trying to connect. The only solution is to delete USAFConnect and re-download it but it only worst for about the first 5 times before you need to rinse and repeat the deleting process. I would give it 0 stars if possible and I would suggest the Air Force either revamps the program using a better modern system for the application or just remove it completely since it’s a lazy attempt to conglomerate a ton of information in a system that can handle it.

Not bad but needs work. iPhone 12 Pro user. Screen does not fit at the top, (cuts off the top) some of the links make it seem like you are going to get information but really you just get another link or phone number to call. Really hope this gets updated and worked on. This would be really great for people without social media.

I have not seen any notices from the bases I follow in a long time. Even weather notifications are coming via other means lately

App used to work for a while but not now when I try to open it, it just keeps on crashing I already deleted it and installed it but it still crashes

iPhone 7 user. Same issue as others have reported that app will not load after a few days. Crashes every time I try to open app. Thought last update would help but no luck. Works great on my iPad running same iOS. Tried deleting data/freeing space on my phone but that didn’t help. Only thing that works is to delete app and start over each time.

It never works. It worked in the beginning but now it crashes as soon as I try to open USAFConnect . It’s been maybe a year if not more

It crashes every time I reach a favorite wing site. 100% of the time.

I’ve installed USAFConnect multiple times and it will only work immediately after installation. If I close it and try to re-open it later, it will not go past the loading screen. The trick of deleting and re-installing doesn’t work because the system will not generate another verification pin after the initial installation. I see notifications from USAFConnect and even the banners from new notifications, but when I select them it will never get past the loading screen. The base I’m at will be using just USAFConnect for scheduling in a few weeks, so unless you fix this bug my mission effectiveness will plummet.

Unfortunately Al Udeid AB has moved to using USAFConnect as their main force of information sharing. I have to delete and reinstall every time I need to use it as- I will select USAFConnect and it will begin opening then just completely shut down. This will occur until USAFConnect is deleted and reinstalled.
Why are we forcing people to use an app that constantly crashes?
THIS SEEMS TO BE A CONSISTENTLY REVIEWED ISSUE... why has no one fixed it yet? Terrible all around, from the leaders forcing us to get information this way to the developers who are not listening to user feedback.

Love the idea of USAFConnect and it’s great when it works for me. I have an issue about once every 5-7 days where USAFConnect will not get past the loading screen. The only way I have found to solve this has been deleting and reinstalling USAFConnect and then having to pick my organization again and find my groups again. Painful. I have an iPhone 7.

USAFConnect is extremely unreliable rendering it an unreliable form of communication. Several users in my squadron have to delete, and reinstall USAFConnect every couple of days just to be able to access the information in it, yet even after complaints to management they refuse to use any other form of communication for important things such as posting the flight schedule ect. Commanders, please don’t use this, find something else that works for everyone!!

This a fantastic resource that has been extremely helpful. Unfortunately, there is a “bug” that appears every couple months or so that won’t let me past the loading screen. USAFConnect will crash within a couple seconds of opening. If this can be fixed, I would love to give 5 stars.

USAFConnect once downloaded will give you a solid 1 day to use before having to ultimately delete it and redos load it again. Constantly having to do this makes it a 1 star because it is not readily accessible when people need it most for important information I hope this bug gets fixed soon but being that I’ve dealt with this problem my entire deployment I highly doubt it.

Looks like a pretty good App but it hangs up when trying to open USAFConnect and just keeps on trying to connect. So I have to delete USAFConnect the reinstall it and re-add my installation to get the info I need. I have to go through this each time I need to access and use USAFConnect . Presently using USAFConnect on iPhone 8 Plus and latest iOS. (As of 24 Feb 2021).

As others have said. Even with the latest updates. As of 8 April 2021 USAFConnect works well for a day after getting installed and then does not open properly again until it is deleted and reinstalled.

Outstanding app/idea, very clean presentation and good to have AFIs accessible.

It would be nice to have a feature that could aid with and store data bullets. Aircrew are constantly on the road, this could save a lot of time with Performance Report writing.

I am extremely thankful to have a CMSAF that listens to his Airmen. USAFConnect is very well put together and much needed for our high speed Airmen of today! I will be recommending this for all of my students who come through my ALS classes!

I’m so happy you created this. It’s everything I need. I splurged for the PKard Reader with Thursby software so I can access my email. This is really the perfect addition to my daily life. Convenient. Easy. I’m loving it.

This is a good start to USAFConnect but when reading AFI’s it’d be nice to be able to turn your phone for a bigger reading area.

I love USAFConnect, except for the fact I don’t get notifications. And I’m not the only one. Others in my group, with iPhones, don’t get then either. Please fix!!

The PT calculator worked once, but now I can’t bring up the keyboard to put in my inputs.
It’s better than you might expect from the DoD, hopefully they keep working out the bugs.

Great App. Recommend adding tools for Airmen in Crisis i.e. suicide search in directory has no hits. Thx

In the update info it says added organizations but still don’t see the added organization like global strike command need to include all organizations if are having section where you can list them

I like how the AF is staying current with the electronic age for an all in one app. Enlisted force structure afi changed recently but hasn’t been updated on USAFConnect.

Doesn’t include the USSF Auxiliary in it. Civil Air Patrol is a crucial part of the Air Force! Otherwise, it’s GREAT!

Some GENIUS thought it was a great idea to “Test Test” the notification feature of USAFConnect at 12:47AM when I have to get up at 0Dark30.

Guess what... It works!

At least it USED TO WORK, now I turned off all notification privileges for USAFConnect!

If it keeps waking me up in the middle of the night, I WILL DELETE USAFConnect ENTIRELY!!!!

I love USAFConnect, however, the PFT Calc is incorrect. Per AFI 36-2905, members who are AC measurement only must meet a measurement of 39.0in for males and 35.5in for females. The current calculation has a male failing at 38.0in but passing with 37.5in. A female is failing with a 35.5in and only passing with a 34in or smaller. Please look into correcting this. I look
