FUNNEST game ever, but a few things...

I love this game SO much I play it all the time. But I’m on level 15 and have tried like 20 times and can’t pass. The timing is too low for it it’s only a minute 10 seconds. For improvement, maybe put the timing up to 2 or 3 minutes for certain levels. Thank you!
Update: I FINALLY was able to pass level 15 and got OVER the goal I needed for money! I went back to old easy levels I didn’t get 3 stars on, and won! I got more gems, upgraded my LAST two things and got past level 15 just using upgrades! I now realize that all you have to do to win, is complete EVERY upgrade you have! Everyone saying “It’s a money maker” yes, they want money but NO you don’t have to spend so much! Life hack!: go back to the easiest levels you DIDN’T get 3 stars on. WIN those levels and get more gems to upgrade EVERY SINGLE upgrade you have! I still recommend more time though as a new update for higher levels.
Update: On some levels, the game doesn’t give you enough costumers to be able to finish it. Then it asks you to buy more customers using gems that I don’t have, because I didn’t have enough gems already to upgrade, and would STILL need more to buy costumers! I also recommend maybe adding more customers on higher levels. Please read my review and maybe even update the game based on what I recommend. Thank you!

Passing lv 15. Practice makes perfect.

(How to pass) Play each level til the full three stars. Max out food and machinery. Bam. Passed
Some of you don’t know how to build up to a climax and it shows. I do wonder how it is you perform in the bedroom then 🤣🤣🤣

(Backstory) I’ve been playing this game since it was called “Cooking rush” or frenzy. I LOVED this game. I stopped playing for a bit when I switched to an iPhone. Now I finally found it.
For some reason no one can pass lv 15 and I know why. It’s the same tactic they used before. There IS enough people you just have to build up your speed. Practice makes perfect. You DONT have to spend money which is why I love this game and YES THE ADS ARE ANNOYING. There are more ads then before BUT as long as it’s free to play, idgas. There’s been games I’ve played where each level had an ad before and after you played. Talk about ANNOYING can’t even enjoy the game so I’ll put up with the few that they enlist here and there to play.

The Downfall for me

I enjoyed this game at first and thought it was pretty great to be honest. I mean cooking games have always been some of my FAVORITE games so it’s no surprise that I enjoyed the game. But that was the beginning, After a while of going back and playing old stages and getting three-stars on practically all of them I realized that even if I have ALL the upgrades that will benefit me (and not the ingredients that will give me extra money to be exact) I still couldn’t pass the levels because I have to use BOOSTS, I don’t usually complain about games or even write reviews if I’m being honest but in the long run, I can’t see myself ever playing this game again. So I suggest you make it where you don’t have to shove cash into a mobile game (That barely even gets played) and make it so you can maintain a steady player base rather than let your game die out like the rest of the mobile games on CookingCity Store. So I’m just saying this because many mobile games either force you to spend countless amounts of money (to still lose) or bombard you with so many ads that you’ll want to delete the game. So as my final response, fix the game or no one will want to play (unless if they shove money into the game like a moron) so please fix this game for the others who want to play and don’t want to spend money, because I’ll never download this game again.

Typical Modern Game

To be fair I’m not very far into the game, but it doesn’t take long to see the gimmick. Most levels are beatable without boosts if you have the skill, at least from what I’ve found. However, when playing the event (for me specifically it was the Easter event) the levels become so ridiculously hard that they’re almost impossible to beat without boosts. Now I refuse to put real money into this game so I just gave up trying to get past level 29. The regular game is easy enough and I haven’t had to use many boosts or pay gems for anything yet. However, if the difficulty of the event is any hint at how hard it will get in future levels I will definitely be quitting this game around that time. Also, the energy aspect is super lame. It’s probably the only thing keeping me from trying more at the event, because I fail so many times trying to pass the event levels. Overall, pretty fun, but I can see how they engineered the game very carefully so that you need boosts when it gets harder. The developers of games nowadays are greedy, but you people keep paying to win so they’re gonna keep making them this way.

Money Grabber

The game was fun at first. The first restaurant you run is a breakfast joint. I’ve been great at cooking games for YEARS, so needless to say I raised a brow each time I failed by a hair and it asked to spend gems to keep going. I shrugged it off and spent the gems since they’re the ones they give you in the beginning. However, the cat came out of the bag in the second restaurant, the burger joint. I went into the restaurant with a lot of spare money so I upgraded early. On level 15 I continuously failed, however. I went back to the breakfast place and farmed enough coin to completely max our all of the burger places upgrades and still kept failing level 15. That’s when I noticed the scheme. The level requires you to serve 23 dishes (get the food out before the guest leaves). It doesn’t matter if the guest gets angry just as long as you serve the food before they leave. That’s when I noticed it...they only give you enough guests to order 21 dishes. Doesn’t matter how good you are you can’t win. Not without spending the gems to get more customers...and of course...gems cost real world money. If you just want to enjoy one day of this game go ahead and waste your time on it. Otherwise it’s going to cost you money to advance to higher levels. Unless you’re okay with that, DON’T BOTHER WITH THIS MONEY GRABBER!

Money money money

I definitely LOVE this game & it’s In fact one of my favorites. I just HATE that you have to spend money to pass some levels. They design some of the levels to timeout before you could even get all of the customers. I don’t mind spending coins but I just don’t like that it’s EVERY time I play. My first favorite game to play was Juice Jam
which that game you barely ever have to pay Bc when you spend a lot of time not playing it gives you gems & boosts while you’re gone. This game NEVER gives free anything. Ok so what brought me to write a review is Bc I just said F it..I’m just gonna subscribe so I could do more & I still didn’t have enough gems to upgrade the kitchen. Yea, no! Gots to do better with this, if I’m playing ALL day & never get gems to upgrade, I’ll never pass. Also, with the upgrade it gives you unlimited playing time but nothing else. What I look like playing alll
Day & not moving to the next level. You should get gems when you pass levels anyway & in this game you don’t get them unless you pay for them.

Update: I keep getting notifications to update my review but I still feel the same. 😂 I play this game for fun without worrying about winning. Until I get tired of the same level..I buy gems Bc ain’t none given

No Longer Enjoyable

I rarely write reviews. Brevity isn’t my strong suit, so forgive me. This game was so much fun in the beginning, but now I feel trapped after spending so much money. After maxing out on upgrades, levels can be so hard, that I have to use a lot of boosts to complete it. The levels in each restaurant are excessive. Why not place the surprise box at the end of the restaurant? I speak for myself when saying that after collecting each star, I think I am moving on to a new restaurant, only to be let down. I don’t need the “Surprise! You have more purchases to make!” I don’t look forward to another 10 levels, more expensive than the one before. This should be a game EVERYONE enjoys, not just those gifted in speed and strategy. Let’s be honest, people pay for an advantage, not out of necessity. I have lost interest and am most frustrated. I only play because of my monetary investment. Ironically enough, another cooking game advertised on the overwhelming ads needed for such a small return is one that I now play. If I would have written a review after a few levels, my rating would have easily been four or five stars. Hopefully, the game can be tempered for future enjoyment.

Great Game!

Five stars! There are a few ads, but not nearly too many. And when you want to get a prize, you have to watch an ad for it, but when there’s an ad without a prize at the end, you can usually just click off of it, and they don’t appear that often. Fun levels that aren’t too similar, lots of cool food and customers, great goals, and much more! You can earn either gems or coins, both come in handy. It doesn’t constantly ask you to pay for stuff, and there are some fun side events you can participate in. You can win keys by playing levels to unlock new restaurants. One last thing: With each restaurant, there are upgrades you can make! Every so often, you’ll get a new ingredient, and if you have enough coins, you can upgrade the tools (frying pans, drink pourers, etc.) or the ingredients! (French fries, smoothies, burgers, donuts, etc.) it’s a really cool game and I recommend it all the way!

Warning!

Play at your own risk. It is a fun game to an extent. If you pay to play it would be more fun. But be prepared to pay and pay and pay. They designed this game that way is my opinion. It’s odd how I’m trying to complete various levels as they get harder and I just miss by 1 or 2 items to complete that level. And it happens over and over and there are times where none of the boosts will help you but the diamonds will, if you buy enough of them. Otherwise you just keep playing the same thing over and over and can’t move forward. Don’t know about you but that’s boring and very aggravating that you can’t continue unless you pay to play. So I’ve sent customer support my experience and my dislike of a number of things. I’ve written a review before but felt I need to do it again. Notice that they don’t put their reviews in chronological order, wonder why that is? Take a look through the reviews and you’ll see why. I’ve deleted the game. There are similar games that offer more opportunities to win the things you need to play without paying for them, I choose those games instead, and the customer support has been very nice and helpful, unlike this one. Best of luck!

Could be great

This game has so much promise, but unfortunately it is required that you pay a lot of money to enjoy it. I get that in-app purchases are how these games make money, but most free to play games are not this impossible. I’ve even noticed the game will adjust to purposely sabotage you. Example: you need to make a certain amount of money for the round - all customers order the cheapest item. Another example: you need to serve a certain number of customers - the game doesn’t give you enough to pass even though you serve every customer right away. And yes, this is even with having max upgrades. The game requires not only max upgrades, but MULTIPLE boosts to have any hope of passing levels. It’s frustrating because the gameplay and graphics are so good, but I’m not sinking hundreds of dollars into a game only for the frustration to continue. If this game was $50 flat and you didn’t need to purchase any additional boosts, I would buy it in a heartbeat, but as it stands now, it’s not worth the investment. Really hope the game developers lower the difficulty or give more complimentary bonuses, until then, the game isn’t worth it.

Love the game BUT.....

This is one of my favorite games to play BUT something happened with this most recent update a couple days ago.

I rated the game 5 stars since I love it but I am very frustrated and disappointed right now. After being kicked out of the game immediately after logging on for the past week, I updated it today since I noticed an update was available. The game is working fine now thankfully however, I’m not missing a couple thousand diamonds. I only have 95 diamonds right now and I’m almost positive I had over 2,000 diamonds before the issue of being kicked out happened. What happened and can I get those back?? I’ve spent A LOT of money buying extra stuff (I’m still fighting with Apple for a refund over being double charged for something) and I would just like the diamonds I paid for back. PLEASE?!?!? I do appreciate you fixing the issue though.

Fun BUT

This is a fun game! It’s just like all the other cooking games if this type. It has subtle ways of making you spend money, of course, that’s what games do. It’s what I call a smart game, for example, if you don’t have enough coins to upgrade the soda machine, the next level will slam you with soda orders, so you have 2 options: spend actual cash to upgrade it. Or you spend time playing past levels. As soon as you upgrade the soda machine though, orders go back to normal. Which is fine. Most games are like that.
The most irritating part of this game tho, it’s probably too new. There aren’t that many restaurants. And last release was just ONE. They claim it had 120 levels. No it doesn’t. Plain simple lie. It has ONLY 40 levels. But you can play each level 3 times. Now it seems they are planning another update for the end of the month, again with just ONE more restaurant. Seriously?
If I were you I wouldn’t download this just yet. Wait 6 months or so until they have more stuff to offer.

Payouts aren’t fair. Otherwise fun

The only time you actually get the payouts on the completed levels are when you’re goal is to achieve so many coins. (Coins are used to upgrade ingredients and supplies) Otherwise they minimally give you coins when you have to achieve happy customers or number of dishes. I mainly think it isn’t fair because when you upgrade ingredients it states you’re increasing the price. Then they have the pink levels selected at random when you’ve completed enough levels in a restaurant. You can do them when you’re needing more coins to be able to beat levels in other restaurants. If they paid out the coins like the food is equal to on the happy customers and number of dish levels then this would likely not be an issue. Just leads to you wasting your time to try to make progress. I’m sure they honestly do it just so you’re spending actual money buying the gems. I will add the fourth and kind of the third restaurant on each destination are nearly impossible to complete without spending money or going back to pink levels in other restaurants to get the coins for upgrading them.

Loveee

I’ve honestly never spent a dime on this game and I’m as far as I possibly can be until they come out with new levels (can’t wait). They keep adding new features that are a lot of fun while waiting for new levels to come out as well.. daily challenges and different events for different holidays that come with rewards once completed. Not sure what all the bad reviews are for. If you’re spending money, you don’t have to. They make it so you can go back and replay levels and earn more items to use in the future to help complete levels.
Update: Sadly, having to change my 5 star review to a 3 star review, because although it’s fun, it kept force closing and I lost all of my progress.
ANOTHER UPDATE: This is an exciting update, finally stopped glitching with the developers newest update and I am back to playing constantly!!! Thank you so much for fixing, review changed back to 5 stars :)

Fun at first but Levels are UNBEATABLE

This game was fun at first but I believe they intentionally make the levels too hard to beat. For example, I was playing in the sweet house and after almost a week and a half of playing AND LOSINF a level where you needed to successfully serve 52 meals, I received a message stating that they had changed the game and please accept these boosts and upgrades on our behalf. Now this same level only needed to have 47 meals served in that time frame. That let’s me know that they knew that level was unbeatable. I had spent money on purchasing boosts and was still unsuccessful. I like the game. However, I don’t like to be forced to spend money bc levels are simply unbeatable. It makes the game seem rigged and it looks unfavorable for your company. I am going back to playing cooking craze bc I don’t feel like their levels are made to seize your pockets!!!

Fun game but...

The game is fun and addicting. It has great graphics as well. As you get to new restaurants, it makes sense that it gets harder and more intense but you’ll run into the same issues no matter how skilled you become at the game:
- you’ll need to buy new equipment but you’ll be low on cash. There’s simply not enough cash available to purchase the equipment you need to enjoy the game and pass levels.

-timed levels seem bogus and rigged. It’s so frustrating to be waiting for costumers to order just to run out of time and not have had enough costumers come through.

-double clicking to throw away an item can cause you to accidentally throw something and loose a life in some levels. Beyond frustrating.

-ads. I’ve been playing for a while and more and more ads are appearing. It’s one thing to have to watch an ad to earn something but the same ad over and over for no reason in a game that already tries at every opportunity to get your $$ gets old fast.

-lives. So easy to loose them and so long to refill. Especially when sometimes the game makes you loose two even though you’ve only tried once (still can’t figure out why this is happening.)

Even with all the cons, I’m still playing. I refuse to give $$ though as it seems too rigged to do that. I did pay .99 to buy some gems to continue playing to get the reward from a special event (I was one away from the big gift) and that did seem worth it for the pay out.

Fun but Certified Money Pit

I don’t typically write reviews but felt compelled to do so given my frustrations with how developers rigged this game. It’s an extremely fun game in first 2 continents with great graphics but definitely rigged for pay to play, plain and simple. Earned coins in one continent don’t transfer to other continents, so have to start from scratch earning coins to purchase ingredients and equipment or come out of pocket to pay for gems to supplement. And don’t even get me started on the hard sale to purchase gems! Even with daily allotment of free gems, by the time you level up to Kyoto (in 3rd continent), developer has rigged game so you must pay out of pocket to advance levels given that coins don’t transfer, coupled with massive increase in # of coins/gems required to purchase ingredients and equipment. I really like this game but will wait patiently for new Cooking Fever restaurant which is also extremely fun but is not a money pit. Don’t plan on returning to Cooking City until developers ease up on over-the-top pay to play.

Fun and challenging

I have yet to spend a dime on this game. I’m currently at the pizzeria restaurant. This game is fun and addictive. I thought I would end up having to spend real money, but I refused. If you need to upgrade some items, you can easily play past restaurants to get the coins you need to upgrade said items. Some of the boards do get challenging and you’d have to play them over and over again until you pass them, no biggie. I’ve left the game alone for a few days and returned and all of a sudden pass that hard board like it was nothing lol. One of the things I find annoying about this game is, like any other cooking game, if you lose a game, you lose an energy and have to wait for the energy to replenish when you run out. I wish we were able to play without the worry of losing energy. But they have to make their money somehow. Ads are everywhere, so the ads aren’t even a bother to me anymore.

Too many gems needed

This was a fun game in the beginning but now it’s starting to get too hard. Even after you upgraded all the appliances you still can’t pass fully level 15 and even though everything’s upgraded to the max. I still can’t get the last key. And, if you want three more customers to try and finished the level after you couldn’t get the coins to finish it. Then you have to pay thirty five gems for the extra customers and that’s too much for just three customers. I can see if it was for like seven more customers then yeah but for three that’s too much. And the time you have to serve the customers don’t go up. Even if you get all three stars the time to serve them stays the same but the amount of coins you need to get goes up even more so that makes it even harder to get the last key. And the customers patience could be longer it seems they lose their patience’s to quickly. If those things could be fixed I’d give this game five stars.

Love love love

I loveee this game so much. I’m in Rome (the second world) and it’s just so addicting. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent on this game. Maybe I’m good at it?? But anyone who enjoys serving customers in real life or on their phone will love it. It’s all about multi tasking and going as fast as your fingers will go. One thing I love about this game is when your out of lives it allows you to watch videos to get lives back to play right away and not wait. Also, my ads people from this game will understand this.. but if you watch the adds for the rewards oh my.. I can’t tell you how much of a life saver that is. I actually look forward to those give me coins for ads because they help me on levels. Anyway, addicted. Really fun game. Thank you to the creators💋🥰

First i don't have Gmail. I pushed cooking city by mistake. You have to want for it to get to the main screen. I was impatient. I pushed the back key several times decided to turn off the phone. When I turned it back on, no google, no google play store, nothing google. I don't believe in coincidence. This issue is tied to cooking city some how. Again everything has stopped working so no google play store. Please check around and maybe find an answer. Things never happen until they do. I appreciate all of your time, effort and energy. Most humble Patt Cruz
