I’m confused by all of the negative comments. This device worked exactly as it should. It was easy to set up. Maybe there was a glitch with a older software?
First, I am a dentist, who treats patients with sleep apnea. But I am not getting any kind of payment for reviewing this device. I have sleep apnea myself. I own a much more sophisticated home sleep study device. But I wanted to try this device out myself. It does basically what we all need to know. Our O2 levels throughout the night.
I get a scientific recording. And I can use it up to 10 nights. I can make adjustments to my OAT as needed. Again, this is simple and genius.
This is a game changer for myself, and for my patients. I will be using it to help people treat their sleep apnea and adjust my OATs properly. Thanks for whoever created this. Big help.

My search for an at home sleep study lead me to a company that was utilizing this device and app to conduct the study for sleep apnea. It seems like a great idea to avoid the clinical setting.
In actuality NightOwlCompanion or device doesn't function. I followed the instructions to the letter, including the troubleshooting instructions. There was not a single morning where the upload function worked. I wore this item and troubleshot for nearly a week and the entire time never had a successful upload in the morning. For anyone looking for an at home solution for a sleep study for apnea, do not waste your time with anyone who "prescribes" this device.

I’ve tried for months now to get a sleep study. This is yet another device that doesn’t work. Make no mistake: doctors and their pet companies who make these devices are nothing more than greedy pigs. Anything to squeeze money out of you without doing a thing to help you.

App has a very simple to follow guide on how to wrap the sensor around your finger. The first night I got an error code saying the sensor was wrapped incorrectly. Weird, but okay I’ll “do it better” the next time. For the next 2 nights it gave the exact same error code. There’s only so many ways you can screw up wrapping something around your finger. Frustrating.

May be a problem with the new ios when hit continue after supplying code app crashes. I’ve reinstalled with same results. iPhone XR ver 14.7.1 Please fix ASAP so I can do sleep study

This so far seems like a "fly by night outfit". After much ado, I finally got the app down loaded, got my activation code, and then couldn't enter code. The screen just flashes when I tap on " enter code". The phone number is rather useless; the guy said just call tomorrow morning. So now I lose another night of no testing. So far, this has been a waste of time and a lesson in futility
