This is the second time I’ve had an ileostomy. The first time was in 2018 and it was a temporary, I had emergency surgery. I then had the reversal three months later. Didn’t work out so well and here I am again but with a permanent ileostomy this time. Last year I looked EVERYWHERE for apps that I could use to do EXACTLY what OstoBuddyOstomyCompanion does for me. Rather than keeping track of everything on paper (which posed to be an inconvenience being a busy mommy of four). It was very early 2018, so some apps may have started coming about later in the year. But I did not have the option to have apps like this. And when I found OstoBuddy I was ecstatic! I have so many complications that it’s so important I keep track of everything for my high-risk surgeon. She loves that she can see everything on her end as well, as I’ve shared with her. I love that I can see when my output is getting beyond what it should be. I love that I get notified when I’m low on products. And I love the reminders to change my entire system. Although I typically remember to do so, it’s just nice to have the reminder. I will say that (as others have said), it would be nice to have hydration tracking as well as a food diary. But it’s not so bad to not have it, because I have an app just for hydration and food intake as well (both in that one app). And it’s not difficult to open another app to log hydration. It would definitely be a plus to have the hydration and food in OstoBuddyOstomyCompanion, but if that addition never comes... I am still in LOVE with OstoBuddyOstomyCompanion and swear by it! This is great for every ostomate, especially as a new ostomate, you’ll definitely need this! Good luck all and best wishes! 💜 #wearewarriors
