Hmm not so cheap. Reliability?

I love robotic lawn mowing and do not understand why you do not see more. RobomowApp20 is fine. This is Spring 2020 my mower went into service spring 2016. I just had to place another order for a mowing motor. So now EVERY MAJOR COMPONENT ON THE MOWER HAS BEEN REPLACED. Main board 3x, front board 1x, both drive motors 1x, both mow motors 1x, display 1x, charging unit 1x, remote perimeter box 3x. So DO NOT THINK you will be saving money over traditional mowing. And you will be doing the service (yes it is modular and easy). I hope to leave this one behind when I mover and try another brand, the failure rate is unacceptable.

No push notifications

I have had my mower for 2 weeks now so I only know the new app. I do like the new version better with the new info screen and having battery percentage now. I have been in contact with tech support twice trying to figure out why I don’t get push notifications for errors, operation alerts or theft. Test fails every time and they tell me everything is fine with my machine so it must be an app bug or account bug. Hope this can be fixed soon.

Worthless on multiple facets

$2200 two years ago to purchase their top of the line robotic mower. Got about 10 uses out of it, then started finding it in the street at various places. Even witnessed it a couple of times, so it wasn’t kids just being kids. Adjusted the guide wire, but that didn’t help. Reached out for help on two occasions, but never received a reply. Had to put the piece of junk in storage, and purchase a GreenWorks mower and do it the old fashioned way. I’m reminded of the situation every time I see the green wire in the ground, when I spent several hours following the instructions to the letter. Stay clear of Robomow!

Not what it should be

My phone has to be within a few feet of the mower to connect, control from a distance is a dream, not reality. The history section is a joke. It has only managed to put about 1 out of 4 mowings into its history. I don’t see anything that is an actual battery State of Charge, the battery symbol at the top always shows full. I have no idea what is going on with the partial circle on the left, sometimes it’s all dark, sometimes it is partly white. Overall, a major disappointment.

Nice update

Good to know that even after owning my ‘bot for years, a software update can still come along that makes it feel fresh again. The best part is the latest version update that restores the battery charge state, along with a whole new Details page with loads of good info on it, including battery and charge state, mowing percentage, and departure times.

1-step forward, 2-steps backwards

The refresh of RobomowApp20 looks good and it fixed connectivity issues that I had but it also took out manual mowing for those spots that need touch up, and they also removed remaining battery %.

One thing I wish they would do is let you lower the remaining battery threshold from 35% to a user definable value. This would allow more cutting time before it stops and looks for home base.

UPDATE:
Latest software updates now includes the % battery remaining. Still can’t manually mow as needed like we used to. Still can’t adjust the remaining battery % threshold.

Other than that, I love the mower 🙂

Removed manual mow option- want a refund on mower

I bought Robomow over a Husqvarna mower for the ability to mow from RobomowApp20 manually, should it miss a patch. Now this option has been totally removed. Even if this was done for safety, we should be allowed to opt in to use this feature. I am returning my mower, since it’s still under warranty, as this was a pretty significant feature to remove. Now I have to bring my lawnmover out to mow a tiny patch of grassthat couldn’t be wired. Defeats the whole purpose of purchasing this mower.

Battery % is back

Thank you, thank you, for putting the battery percentage back in RobomowApp20 on the last upgrade. It makes all the difference for me. App seems to work fine, but season just starting so haven’t been able to really try it out.

App need improvement

You produced a great mower and you need an app at the same level. Schedule history does not work, manual mow should be added not only manual control in order to reach and mow difficult points, you need to add the possibility to adjust the mower peripheral limits wtr to wire in order to adjust peripheral mow without removing the wire, more option for schedule are needed, ...

Why did you disable remote control option?

What was the reason that with the new update you guys disable the remote control option over app ? We want it back how am I supposed to control my Robomow manuelly with the blade running?

V2 3.8.5 Lost function

Since upgrading can no longer do Bluetooth link to my mower. Which mean I have no functionality at all.

Much improved with latest updates

The most recent update fixed the connectivity issues with my 2018 Robomow RS 630 and now RobomowApp20 works reliably

I do wish they would improve the manual controller feature which is finicky, and bring back the battery % level that worked in version 1

Needs better UI

Nice new features added but I think the UI designer must have an indoor workstation. It is difficult to read the small fonts and fine graphic details are lost in strong sunlight.

RobomowApp20 requires physical proximity to the mower (Bluetooth) so I had hoped they might optimize RobomowApp20 for outdoor usage.

Pretty Lame App

RobomowApp20 does the basics, but I couldn’t get the notifications to work with my new 2019 RS612. I’m not sure why some of the setting are only accessible on the mower. Also, it’s pretty annoying that I can’t see the overall battery life. Everything else appears to work, but it’s really pretty basic for such an expensive product. I like the actual lawn mower, but RobomowApp20 could use a makeover.

Can’t connect after initial setup

The old app worked fine. Never any issues. The new app allowed me to give the mower a nickname but then failed to connect. Out of range despite being right next to the mower. Phone says it’s connected to it - app says out of range.
When attempting to provide feedback via app the text gets deleted after a few words. Easy way to deal with feedback.

Can't do anything, and it's forced!

I'd rate this ZERO if that was possible....

Called up the original version, and a message came up that can't be cancelled. Hit the button to download RobomowApp20 , and it sent me to RobomowApp20 Store, which said it wasn't there.

So, went to the Robomow site to download it for iOS on my iPad, and was able to load it. Opened it, and a login is forced; it wouldn't accept my login, saying my email wasn't real ( but I've gotten messages from them in the past! )

Tried to enter a new login, and when I got the information entered, I could not find or get to any button to enter it! I think it also said the email was invalid???

So, ZERO!!!

What happened to manual mowing?!?!

Connectivity is improved with 2.0, however, loss of manual mowing is a giant pain in the ass. Impossible to do touch-ups and mow areas that can’t be wired. Bring manual mowing back!!!

Cannot conmect

I used to be able to connect to my robomow using the old version of RobomowApp20 just fine.. now they’ve disabled it and forced us to download the new app which does not connect at all. Tried every trick in the book.

RobomowApp20 is pretty bad.
My schedule is not working any more. Totally disregarded by the moower so can only use manually start now. Next day in schedule is not reflected on app start page either which is pretty strange.
It seems that it is RobomowApp20 that simulate sync sometimes and not connecting to moower.
Biggest problem is that I can't moowe the lawn without schedule working.
And don't get me start on connection problems.
Not an improvement except layout.

GSM notifications not working

While I still had the original app installed, I was receiving GSM notifications. Touching that notification would open the old app, which just gave RobomowApp20 no longer available message. But once I removed the old app, it stopped. Running the test from the new app always fails, although the display on the mower shows that it passed.

Can’t register my mower

Won’t allow me to register my mower because I had already registered it online. Therefore app is useless and it won’t allow me to use the old one which worked well.

Unable to connect to mower at all

Unable to connect to mower at all. No response from support and the call in support number is never answered. Come on Robomow this is one of the main reasons I got the mower. Please fix this!!!
