I tried myCarLog out. I liked it. I bought the in app upgrade for an ad free experience.

Turns out they just take the money and still give you ads.

DO NOT PAY FOR myCarLog.

The notifications only alert you by date not miles. No banner. Very easy to miss. I am still looking for a better app. Wishing car minder still worked. Not sure why this is so complicated to make a good app.

Your prior app Car Minder was a easier and dependable app to keep track of multiple kinds of vehicles. I used it for years and depended on it then POOF it was gone.

Please//Please update Car Minder to be compatible and work with latest Apple IOS.

… so therefore it’s not capable of tracking miles left till a service is due. As others said it really is a shame no app has been created that can do what Carminder used to be able to do.

I just started using myCarLog. Seems to be pretty good. However I lot of times when I do maintenance on a vehicle I may take care of several service items at the same time. Like change the motor oil,oil filter,air filter, transmission oil, transmission filter and more at the same time. The problem with myCarLog is it only allows you to add one service item per entry. So to keep up with these items you have to do each service item as a separate entry. It would sure be nice to be able to add multiple service items on the one log entry.
Another issue I am having is I bought the pro version to not have advertisements and to be able to add multiple vehicles. But it keeps reverting back to the free version.

Works okay but I would like alerts when I have maintenance that is due/overdue.

While this is probably the best of what is available for the DIY’er to manage their auto tracking needs, it still lacks some of the common functionality you would expect from a one-stop app. A visual reading whether it be a bar graph or color wheel indicator to let you know when your personal vehicle is in need of service from its last visit: say oil change, tire rotation etc. The ability to add 2 cars before the need to “buy” myCarLog …how many people don’t have 3 or more cars to track? Overall, I’m pleased I found something to replace the now dead carminder app, I tried many other apps and didn’t like them at all. This one, fits some of my needs and I will just have to adjust to its limitations.

New version screws up my fuel entries. I add the cost of gas, then the number of gallons keeps changing. Not worth the frustration.

Missing banners and notifications. The developer has an opportunity to really make this a great app. Most notably, there are no banners or notifications for maintenance upcoming or past due.

This should be such an easy thing to do. I do like myCarLog interface, it is able to do all I need it to do. However, without the notices, I really can’t give a rating over 3 stars. I’ll gladly give a higher rating when these features are added.

Interesting app. The free version is dependable, but I’m sure the full version is more sophisticated. Overall I like the ease of how easy it is to log all expenses including taxes, oil changes, insurance, parts , etc.

So far I really like myCarLog. It has great potential and it looks like it will help me track mileage and maintenance of all of my vehicles, which is exactly what I wanted/needed.

I like how I am able to keep my maintenance organized

I’ve been using this app for about 2+ years now. It’s an excellent app and the customer service has been great. I reached to the developer on one occasion when I couldn’t figure out why my fuel consumption report was wrong, and within a day I was contacted and instructed on how to correctly use that feature. A suggestion I have that would make myCarLog better is to add a notifications function that would alert the user when its time for specified maintenance.

Useful and complete. One stop place all things expense related to vehicles. Love it!

Needed to replace app that is no longer available.

For having picked this one out of a long list of choices, I think I got super lucky.
I LOVE myCarLog!!!!
I could go on for hours at how many uses I have for this!!!
I own a small construction company and this allows me to remember all the repairs and maintenance I’ve done on each machine too.

At this point I need to make a suggestion for future updates though... can you make a way for me to “sort my fleet”?

I’ve got so many entries I’m scrolling through a long list of vehicles, snow blowers, excavation machines, saws, compactors etc.
Maybe find a way to categorize them into vehicles, large equipment, small Equipment, yard care equipment, atv’s, snowmobiles, boats...
My favorite feature is that I can add ANY make name on my own, it doesn’t have to come from a predetermined pick list;
Example: I can add my Stihl chain saw, or a Case skid loader because it doesn’t have to come off a list of auto makers.

I’ve been looking for an app of this quality for some time, not to complex etc. This one has done it all, having 16 vehicles to track etc, it’s important to be able to see the data quickly. 1. What would be really useful is to have a way of uploading this data for 16 vehicles to my partners phone, is there a way? 2. What I’ve found to be very needing is the ability to be able to globally search the database? So that if I’m looking for which vehicles have had new batteries fitted. It will list them in date order.? Thank you so much, great job!!!!!
