Frustrated and misguided.

I was enjoying this game but on the first day, I dropped real life money to purchase several “gold mines” to start earning a bit more gold on the side. Gold is the in game currency that is more difficult to earn. You do earn a bit by playing the game itself but it’s not as much as I would hope. So I wanted to buy the gold mines, which was advertised to earn you one gold per 3 in real life hours. Except it isn’t doing that for me. Now that I actually bought them, it’s actually giving me one gold per 30 hours, which is pretty much useless. To put that into perspective, the gold mine itself costed 100 gold for the first one and the price jumps up per mine. It would take me 3000 hours to earn 100 gold back. That is just not feasible and I feel pretty stupid for spending money to get it now. Definitely not wanting to spend any more money or time on this game because of this.

Thinking it would be better, but….

So I played DC 1 and it was good. There was some things wrong but figured it was first attempt at making the game. The graphics were great compared to other build games but scale was my main concern. So after completing my city, I figured I would also play DC2 thinking they would make better upgrades. I was so wrong. There are a few thing I noticed right off. First the graphics look like you hired kids. What a let down. But the first thing I noticed was the scale was way off. Most skyscrapers are taller than the snow capped mountains. Are we to believe that skyscrapers are 5000 feet tall? Also noticed that some 3 story building are as tall as 8 story buildings. Again, what a let down. My recommendation would be to re-hire the DC1 graphics team. Also get the scale better or more realistic at least. Disappointed in the non scaled cartoonish game. I really hope that if you do a DC3 game, you will fix these issues. This one was terrible.

Expensive and unrealistic

Property taxes are the major source of income for any town in America. But not in Designer City. There, the sims are freeloaders. They pay nothing for all those fire and police departments, medical centers, schools, water and power plants, parks and roads that they demand to be “happy.” While they account for half your city’s monetary allocations, residential zones generate no income for your town. As a result, you run through your initial $2 million pretty quickly and then have to spend real money to continue building your city and keep the bums happy. No thanks.

A lot of other dumb things. Airports and ports, for instance, seem to serve no real purpose in increasing trade or income. Skyscrapers are absurdly tall.

This building game may produce pretty pictures if you’re willing to spend money for them, but there are several more realistic building games out there.

A bit buggy

Really enjoying the game, however it keeps taking my money. I close the game with $91,000,000. I open the game two hours later and I have $86,000,000. Then the game adds money to my balance and brings the balance back up to the original $91,000,000. This occurs on a daily basis whether I let the game set 2hours or overnight. It will consistently, over the course of any given day take about $4,000,000 from me.I tried to contact support however the tab for support won’t open. So apparently there is no real support. A fun game but increasingly frustrating because of this little bug.

3 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️because.....

I was really enjoying this game big time! And getting ready to drop a little coin on it & not gonna buy one of the other builder games that u actually buy in DesignerCity2 Store(been looking at one for awhile lol) But than one achievement I won said 6 gold came with it..Ok no gold at all and makes me wonder how much gold I have not received from other achievements and upgrades? Top it off,Can’t find anywhere to send a message to support! So until I get that fixed..The game is on hold! If I’m not going to receive the stuff that I won? I’m not gonna spend money on the game and I’m not gonna play anymore..So ball is in your court guys! Game is easily 5 stars if I’m receiving what I won!

Jrock!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love the game! It’s really fun to build cities in this game unlike other city building games I’ve played. Although there are some flaws like the citizens not paying taxes because earning money in this game is really slow but my main issue is the happiness for me it feels hard to get there happiness up I put flowers, parks, schools police stations, hospitals everything and it doesn’t seem to work. Also I think it’s weird that the people get unhappy about stuff that helps them, like you get -20 happiness for buying a coffee shop when in real life most people would be happy about a coffee shop but this may just be to balance the game and I would be fine with that if the problem of getting happiness didn’t exist. I do like the game though nothing is perfect and you can still have fun with the game but it be nice if this was fixed ;)

Amazing, but a few issues

This game is amazing! I instantly got addicted (in a good way) and at first didn’t have any issues. But as I started making my cities bigger and better, I noticed a few problems. One thing I found was annoying was how the roads work. In one of my cities the roads were really glitchy and I couldn’t connect many of my roads. Also, the graphics, in my opinion, could have been done a bit better, but are still pretty good.
Overall, this is a great game and I would definitely recommend trying this game if you’re not sure about getting it, even though there are a few bugs.

Great mobile game in 2026

This game is so good, I can’t begin to describe how long I spend on this game, from the buildings to the atmosphere everything feels connected and alive and I adore that part of it! Devs are always responding to messages when there are questions and trouble and each in app purchase is sooooo worth it! And no ad paywalls! It’s Awesome!

What I’d fix - the only thing I’d wanna see next is the cars, trains etc not running through each other lol. Totally not that big deal but having an update to the cars and the buses etc could add more life to the game I feel! Also add more new buildings! There are new world wonders now always like the LINE or the Las Vegas sphere etc add more cool places! I love customizing them into my city! Also, the industrial buildings could use some modifications, I’m always using the same buildings and the mechanics with the water power etc just never seem to be enough for the citizens total coverage!

Overall stellar mobile game for this year and the past 3 years playing it! Keep it up! I’ll keep playing it more and as long as there is more content and space to put things!

Fun strategy game

This is an enjoyable game that doesn’t require in app purchases (although they are available). Plan and build your city balancing out infrastructure with community wants and needs. You have to adjust your growth while continuously rebalancing the needs of your community. This game provides metrics that involves happiness, finances, food supply, utilities, economy, transportation, education, public safety, health and wellness, pollution, and more. It’s fun, and a little addictive, to grow your community and keep it’s citizens happy!

Amazing, but some bugs…

When I got this game, I instantly fell in love with it. It explains its mechanics way better than the first game.
Instead of just dropping you in an unfamiliar environment, with little to no direction, this game eases you in, with goals and challenges that guide you through the basics of Designer City 2.
On top of that, this game has a WAY larger selection of buildings to choose from. You unlock buildings by leveling up, and, if you use the in-game currency, can unlock them early, which I think is fair.
However, there are some bugs.
The game can crash at random intervals, and I’m not sure why. There are also some smaller bugs that aren’t that relevant.
Overall, with just some minor polishing, this has the potential to be one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played. And it’s already mine.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

Designer City Review’s

Good game just started and the first game take is great much different and better than most online strategies games: totally big gameplays and different strategy for how to make money and other products in game for the game. The structure’s have a variety of games choices and other things to do.:aaa Many of the games functions are good and or the downside to the games is the map and that there is no way to expand after you have finished it I hop for more downloads content.

Awesome!!

OK so I’ve been playing Designer City on both my Kindle and my iPad and I love it, as well as Designer City 2! It’s got a building in my state in the special, and I saw last was the Cayan Tower, in Dubai, designed by SOM. They also designed the Burj Khalifa, also in Dubai. I was wondering if you could add more skyscrapers in the special section, like the ones in Designer City, plus the Petronas Towers and Kingdom Tower (Kingdom Tower is under construction currently), maybe also the Shanghai Tower. Also, I have recently been not finding fires in others cities, and I am like, 80% into the first star for Firefighter, and I have not been finding fires. Also, last, can you guys add a World Trade Center (Not the real one in NYC) to the commercial section as well as a corporation offices and corporation headquarters to the commercial section too? If so, I’d probably be playing the game even at school (Though in my family, you can’t bring devices to school, and I broke that once with my Kindle to play Minecraft, but I also read a book at reading time (I was in 4th grade).

…wow

Hi y’all, CoopMan2121 here. I just want to say that if you are reading this, GET THIS GAME. It’s absolutely amazing. The graphics are awesome, game barely ever crashes (and if it does your city is saved.) Lots and lots and LOTS of buildings. Also, transportation is a big part.

Passenger trains, cargo trains, cargo ships, planes, F-18s; even Apache helicopters!

Empire State Building, Burj Khalifa, you name it. If it’s a famous building, it’s on there!

Great game, really complex but easy to quickly understand. Analytics and stats, it’s awesome.

I must say that I have two main problems.

Number one, population control. When you build a house or apartment of whatever, people come, right? No problem. But I added a house similar to what I live in (two story suburban), and the amount of residents is like 30. WHAT!? Are they shoved in the halls of the house? Also it is really hard to grow the population. I have nearly covered the map, made districts, and yet I’m at 250k. How? It would be nice if people came to your city while you were offline. You know, some new task, building homes for them and giving them jobs.

The other thing is transportation. Aviation is great; cars are great. But then you have the boats and trains. The boats are like stubborn or something. They rarely go into the canals I have twisting through the city. They are wide enough, yet they barely go through! Also it would be nice if the ships came and docked. And maybe add tug boats or even barges. Navy ships are fine they like the canals. Submarines; it would be cool if they left their port every now and then. The trains are weird too. Are they flying? They literally take flight over the cars. I build overpasses to make it realistic. Also it would nice if the monorail came back.

These are not complaints, just things I am confused about.

Awesome game though.

Sphere Game Studios, you have outdone yourselves on this game.

Great job guys!

P.S make sure to check out my city! (Empire City)

Overall great but weird happiness system

The game has a rating of 5 stars apart from the fact that building a house or an ice cream stop reduces the happiness like how? It is better than SimCity at least because I don’t have to do the work of building the entire houses. The level and xp thing is much better than SimCity’s version. Good thing I start with 2M cash and talking about cash it is not a problem when playing this. Just keep building you will earn cash by leveling up. I like the fact that buildings that cost good have free upgrades it is an absolutely awesome upgrade to add in a this game. In the en I give this a 4.7 rounded up to 5. :)

How I like Designer City 2

It’s honestly really fun to play designer City 2. And one thing I like about the game is expanding and making your city bigger and building skyscrapers all of that fun stuff. That I enjoy and another thing that is frustrating for me is when you don’t have that much money and you just really wanna build something that’s kind of expensive in terms of the game currency, but that’s kind of been a little hard for me With the big idea I have for my city. It’s already as big as I imagined, but I wanna expand and it’s kind of easy in this game and just I really enjoy the game. It’s pretty fun. I would definitely definitely give it a five star review.

Best of the Best

This game is most likely the best building game I’ve found. Not only are you able to earn in game cash but you also have an opportunity to earn gold fairly regularly, which is great to purchase the nice additions for your town. It’s better to have an idea of how you want to layout your city because once it grows larger, it is more difficult to rearrange the buildings.

One thing that would be helpful is if a search bar could be added. For example, if you are looking for a parking garage or something specific, you have to scroll through the categories to hunt for it. Anyway, I definitely would recommend this enjoyable game.

Closest thing to Sim City 2000

If you loved Sim City and Sim City 2000, this is the closest thing to it. Some things are more tedious because you’re not just setting zoning like in sun city, but specifically choosing types buildings. At the same time, it gives you more customization so it’s fun.

Some people have complained about buildings increasing in cost each time you build one. What’s not mentioned is there’s several other options of each building, they’re just different designs so it’s not monotone. The price will still be low for ones you haven’t built many of.

The fact you can move buildings around after building is nice because a touchscreen isn’t always accurate.

Love This Game

My overall experience is incredible, although there are a few things that can make it even better. 1. Add some N.A.T.O. stuff like a flag and building. 2. A few log cabins and some other things a camp might need. 3. Maybe ya’ll can make it possible for you to be able to make a city on another planet. You could unlock this after maybe making a good space program. 4. This is just an add on of the previous idea, but maybe you could make a thing where you can add space stations above your city.

These are just a few suggestions, so if it would be a pain in the rear, then don’t do it. But if not, at least consider some of these ideas.

The Best At Building A City.

I love building cities and have been building them for years. I ran onto DESIGNER CITY 2 and can say it is amazing. I rated it at 5 but I wish I could rate it a 10. In this city there isn’t any waiting for your building to be built or upgraded. It’s finished as soon as you build it. Your buildings accumulate it’s money by itself. No more collecting the $$ yourself. Set back and watch your money grow. Gold is also the same way. It will accumulate on its on. Not as fast as the money but it’s not impossible to get gold like the other city games you play where it’s simply impossible to get. If you lay your game down to take a break…no problem. Your city is not going to die off like the others. You pick up where you left off. So if you like building cities and you like the brain function you put into it, you’ll love this game. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT DESIGNER CITY 2 for what you have given us to play. It is so much fun. I love this game. You people are awesome.

The customer support sealed the deal!

Not only is this the best city building game that I could find on DesignerCity2 Store, but this game also has great customer support. I had a problem in the game, and I emailed customer support and not only did they respond only a few hours later, but they also helped me fix the problem. I’m impressed! Just a few suggestions, their are buildings in the first designer city game that aren’t in designer city 2 that designer city 2 could really benefit from, like the ski resorts, the monorail system, and more. Another suggestion is that you should have highways type of roads, like cars go faster on those roads than other roads in the game.
