I was not aware of not being able to access any files on my ibi after the so called august 31 deadline. I should still be able to access these files since I paid money for this now expensive paper weight. Will never by another WD or San disk product as I would be afraid that they will discontinue the item and everything will become useless.
This is a bad app. You can’t add any of your photos on unless you want to make an album if you want to simply just upload your pictures to the Ibi you can’t it won’t let you then it’ll tell you it’s off-line I was also threatened for it to be disabled because I don’t keep it plugged in all the time .they have all the power to do whatever they want with your pictures they want to invite more people to do what they want with their pictures it’s a waste of time all this is is a scan disk and a big box waste of money
I like the functionality of the device and app however my router (provider is Xfinity) daily tells me that the Ibi software is malware. I don’t know what to do as I’ve updated the Ibi software and have done everything suggested to fix the problem.
Recommended my friend to get this ibi so we can easily share photo, but it turns out SanDiskibi does not allow me to add photo or save to my ibi even when I was invited to collaborate. Contacted support and they told me the collaboration will not work on SanDiskibi but the desktop only. Been waiting for this to be fix. How can this be a fully functional sharing device when I can’t even add photo? This is a basic function that many photo app have already. The collaboration folder will only work if the user is on the same ibi device...collaboration will not work for user not on your ibi device. Please prioritize this basic function!!
Update for v2.2: nice work to get the ability to download the whole shared album or multiple photo. Now waiting for ability to upload photo to a shared folder from SanDiskibi
This is the problem with software / web interface tied hardware. As of today yea I was able to enable my local access but again another product that is having support dropped. Disappointing
Had the ibi for 3 years now and it runs great. Updates are good but noticed once I upgraded from my iPhone Xs to 14 pro then 15 pro the top two corners of the iPhone with functions, do not work well. Maybe the press function area was coded too small for my fingers? My fingers are average size male. But no matter if it’s hamburger menu, X icon, or whatever function they put it only works 20% of the time. Had to press multiple times to finally hit the small invisible target area to work. Most of the time I’m just closing SanDiskibi and open it up and start all over again.
All other features they have works well and runs great!
I purchased ibi 2 (or more) years ago and I found it useless and just shoved it aside ashamed that I wasted my hard earned money.
Recently, I had to buy a new iPhone and eventually my iPhone discovered the ibi and new versions of its software. I am now exploring features when I get a chance.
Would be 5 stars if it had an app or another way where we could use computer to add photos instead of only using phone or iPad
My wife suggested we get a ibi after seeing advertisements and so far I’ve been impressed. It does take some time for pictures to transfer but the auto backup feature and the ability to post from anywhere with a WiFi connection almost makes up for it. We are happy with our purchase.
Best way to share photos - download and send a link. Too bad you’re not supporting this anymore. No other program does this. Was super easy and convenient.
I am still learning the ins and outs of my new ibi. I am really thrilled to finally back up and organize tens of thousands of photos taken over decades, and stored on every device ever made. It seems to be working well. I like the small attractive device, and I learn something new each time. I would buy this again.
Easy to set up and easy to use. I use it as an additional backup of my mobile photos and videos..
As someone who loves technology I’ve found the Ibi is a great addition. Easy to set up, easy to share photos and it also is a great peace of mind knowing all my photos are safe. Great for even those who are not as tech savvy as some.
Love the ability to auto back to ibi and share with my family before I get home from a day trip
Great to easily store my photos to a place I can easily share with those I want to. SanDiskibi makes it easy for all of my family to connect and share in a very streamlined way. Don’t have to keep texting everyone.
Bought expressly to download pictures from Apple iPhone iCloud, so I’m disappointed. Now I’ll have to figure out another method. Since this was highlighted on iDropNews you’d think it would support iCloud compatibility.
I just got this for my birthday, 3 weeks ago, everything has been so easy. The only exception is downloading from the Cloud. The first time I have felt in control of my pictures in years!! Such a relief!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Does anyone know how to download from the cloud?
Being a Grandfather I sent invites to children and grandchildren. Nana and Papa (that’s me) are really smiling and enjoying the great pics being added. I just wish I had bought a larger memory device because my son does a lot of video. Very happy with how it is going to date. Good idea.
Love my Ibi so far, it has helped me thin all my duplicate pictures like nothing I’ve ever found. The sharing is great for distant family and close friends and the ability to back up through the USB port is a huge plus! Add more software features like show all photos that aren’t in albums and other viewing options please!
Love not having to keep all of these on my phone but can access anytime
