Causes Overheating

CardioEx is really fun to play and very helpful to those looking for a career in cardiology however after playing for just ten minutes, I noticed my phone was getting overheated. You can’t play this game without your Iphone getting overheated. My speakers are now fried and I’m going to have to get a new phone. Do not play this game.

Great concept, but not yet medically applicable

The idea and platform for this game are great, but it does not simulate what I would do in real life practice. As an example, I would not get a transesophageal echocardiogram as part of routine diagnosis for HFrEF. It would be great if the referenced information for each case can be a bit more detailed as well. For the case on hypertriglyceridemia, we give the patient icosapent ethyl until they are optimized, but nothing in the references even mention the REDUCE-IT trial. If these cases can be more robustly designed, this could be a fantastic learning tool.

Need to work offline

Fun to play but doesnt work offline. Simple Phone games should all work offline. Phone games are something to go to when traveling or when no service is available.

So Cool.

CardioEx is WONDERFUL. Truthfully, I’m just a curious high school student considering a career in medical work, so I may not be the intended audience, but holy cow. The design of CardioEx is modern and sleek. The music is riveting. This is a promising start to CardioEx.

This being said, there are some things that need to be cleaned up in CardioEx .

For example, I don’t think that the directions are clear enough in some of the stages. (Example: In the level where you learn to treat calcification, I killed a couple of patients before I realized what I really needed to do.) This can be especially confusing for those with very limited background knowledge of cardiology and the treatment of different ailments. A way to fix this issue could be an optional “guide” that takes you step by step through each process. (I mean literally step by step. Go for ultimate hand-holding.)

Another thing that could use work is general playability. I have had reoccurring issues with framerate, and have had the game crash mid-session before. The game also sometimes seems to have difficulty registering whether you are trying to rotate the camera or move components within the heart.

Otherwise, I am very pleased with CardioEx. Keep up the good work! ✨

Awesome, just needs one thing

CardioEx is such a great idea & fun learning tool! The only thing it’s missing is something even the NBME neglects: answer explanations! For example, in the treatment tutorial, you can choose to use statin+fish oil, or statin+icosapent ethyl. i tried the fish oil first but it barely responded, so i tried the icosapent & it helped. the problem there for learning? just trial & error. would be nice if at the end of the case it showed you treatment guidelines(per USPSTF?), so you know what your steps should have been. would also help to have scoring reflect whether you chose the right sequence of interventions. random example: if it was a micro case & i went straight to vancomycin when i should have tried a penicillin first, i shouldn’t win just because the bug died either way. i should at least get less points, or something. same with the diagnosis cases. if i do an echo before i ask for past history... i should be somehow punished. LOL great work otherwise, guys.

OH! Unless I missed it, there’s no way to just hit “diagnose” when i know what it is. i shouldn’t have to keep eliminating if i know the condition. could give extra points for knowing without needing to eliminate to 1, and penalties for choosing the wrong diagnosis.

Great app from a Flight Paramedic!

I may not be a cardiac nurse, cardiologist, Cardiothoracic surgeon or Doctor but I do have experience and work as a flight paramedic and deal with many different patients and scenarios across the board! I think it’s a great, informative and educative app that allows learning through trial and error as well as fun. Also provides great explanations and case summaries! I love it!

Excellent! One request

Awesome game. I love it!! Great cases, info, and learning opportunity. The diagnostic cases are my favorite!! I have one request. Would you consider giving ekg results in visible form? I think that would be a excellent and helpful addition. Keep up the good work :)

Cardiology Fellow im Training

Thank you for CardioEx. Please continue to update it and improve it. Great educational tool even at my level of training. Much better to enjoy this type of educational entertainment than other non sensical waste of time games.

Cool

I have very little training in the medical field but during my time in massage therapy school, we learned all about the human anatomy. My favorite section was the heart. This is way more interesting and intense than I thought.

Amazing Game! Best recommend for Cardiologists and Cardio surgeons,Medical students.

Amazing Game ever! I would rank this the Number one game for cardiologists and Cardio Surgeons,Medical students. And you get to learn so much Latin vocabulary that are related with the cardio. This game gives you mind criticism to figure out how to make the patient stabilized. Awesome game!

The best game on iPhone (my first review ever)

It’s amazing game, would be cool if you add thrombi aspiration device and also (additionally) puncture procedure with choice of artery(radial femoral), checking pulse and etc. Maybe another game about punctures of all sorts of arteries and veins:)) Thank you for your work!!!

Learning Can be Fun!

Cardio Ex is absolutely amazing, I haven’t played the others but I’m sure they’re great as well. I wish there were more game specialties from this developer.

Great practice

Very interesting concept with lots of prospective future innovations. Misses out on the tactile stimulus and hemodynamic management with advanced ventricular support devices. Would also be great to have vascular access pre/post management, RHC/Swan and vascular closure devices.

Absolutely worth the download

The graphics, music and content are mind blowing I absolutely love this game! The educational component are going to help me learn an amazing amount! Thank you!

Not a professional but...

I don’t understand a single word of it but the artwork and animation is beautiful and completely smooth.

5/5 Would recommend

I would love to see more scenarios. And with patient background too!

AMAZING GAME

i am a highschooler who is interested in medicine and CardioEx is amazing! CardioEx is better than any other video game put there. All i ask is that level ex makes more levels because i am running out of levels. Over if you are interested in a future in medicine this is a great app to get. also playing this game with an anatomy book helps memorize all of the terms.
p.s. nuero ex? brain surgery? maybe thats the next one????

What An Amazing Application

CardioEx is such a wonderful tool to learn and discover the interventional perspective of Cardiology. The techniques, tools and interface of CardioEx is quite astounding, and could definitely be utilized by anyone who is interested in the Interventional Cardiology field or for medical students and physicians who have interest in the field. I really enjoy CardioEx being a future medical student myself, and would easily say that it’s one of the best out there. I’m quite surprised it’s a free application, to be honest. Overall, very (very) impressed. Great job!

Amazing for anyone

Im a 15 year old and I can play this game and I enjoy it a lot. Especially trying to get a three heart on a level.

Great for medical students looking to play a game while learning

Not a cardiologist, I can however say it's a really fun game for medical students that helps you learn some knowledge about basic techniques and principles that may come in handy if you're getting pimped while rotating in interventional cardiology in your third or fourth year

The Game is decent but it doesn’t explain things well enough.

I don’t know what to do or what anything means in this game.

The update is 🔥🔥🔥

The beast update brings so much awesome content to the game. Treatment, Diagnosis, PCI along with daily rewards that will keep you coming back! It’s so much more satisfying and rewarding and It feels like an actual mobile game. There’s nothing out there like it.

The Ex Applications

Leap on keep them expanding Very Good Work Real-Life Real-Time Courses. Bit stingy on graphics. Thank You, for what’s to be yet shown. Helps along with my Nursing and Studies/Researching.

Super cool

Awesome application and game that serves as a learning tool for med students, residents, fellows, and attendings. Hope you continue to come out with more!

The most exciting experience

I love CardioEx so far. It really made me realize that this is my field. Thanks

Beautiful

I have just started my training as an interventionist
It is quite informative
