Would give less than one star if permitted. I tried saving all of my power ups and coins for harder levels, however when I got extra close to completing one very difficult course, I watched a video for an additional 4 moves. After that, I used 150 coins go ahead and complete the level. I cleared it....or so o thought.
The screen froze and forced me to close out. I exited the game and reopened JewelCrush to discover that the game didn’t save after me completing the level, but the game still took 150 coins. The game purposely freezes and rips off the gamer. This is stealing for those who actually pay money for coins/power ups etc. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS CHEATING GAME!!!!!

They gave me 200 coins which costs .99 cents to buy- BIG WOOP! It costs more than that for weekly VIP membership and the game operates poorly for an entire week. They wrote me and said to get back to them with info about how much I lost, saying they would make it right. I sent info but I never heard from them again.
You all are ripping people off. Warning, the “hints” are designed to make you lose. I played all the hints, just to see what would happen, and I lost. The hints are usually NOT YOUR best move. Since the last update, Greed & it crashes all the time. If I’m playing & my phone rings, I have to power off phone bc it freezes. I’m on level 733 (something) and this game hasn’t been collecting my stars st each level for the past several levels so I can’t use stars to purchase boosts! I have the VIP also. Not cool! Also the price of boosts and extra life is outrageous! I am cancelling my VIP and as soon as I spend all my coins I am deleting JewelCrush !

OMG. I wake up to this update that I didn’t ask for and so disappointed . It was my favorite game of all games until this morning. Now I’m SO disappointed that I don’t want to play it. I had infinity lives, coins, lucky wheel (that don’t exist anymore and I had so many bucks to use and didn’t even get a chance to spend them) I could change my characters clothes, go to the events and play when I was stuck on a level.) but now all that is gone. I am on level 1218 and not sure if I’ll ever get over this new update. What was y’all thinking about! Let’s tAke the fun from everyone. SO Disappointed!!! I would have rated y’all 5 but not after this update. The daily task is to watch ads now that’s impossible You may get to watch 1 or 2 sometimes most of the time it want let you watch ads so what’s the point in daily task if you can’t do them. I’m so disappointed and I really liked the game before the update. But now it’s totally not my favorite game anymore!!

The game is fun for my grandson and I to have fun to play together. We just started playing this game. We haven’t had ads yet so I reserve my opinion to come back to update my review.
Ads have started popping up now but are short. You can “X” out of most of them but some of them take you to the AppStore!
This is ridiculous! When playing a game you don’t want to go to the store, you want to play a game! Waste of time and energy in my opinion.
I am having a major problem signing into Facebook! It refuses to let me! Do NOT promise someone extra coins, especially someone who’s playing with a younger child, extra coins when it won’t let you sign in! I’m signed into the internet too before you ask that question! There’s times when you have to double tap on play or continue. No other games are like this.
I’m taking back my first opinion of the game. If my grandson agrees, we will probably be deleting JewelCrush and finding a different game to play together.

This used to be my favorite game. I would play for several hours a day and had subscribed to the VIP to eliminate ads. I have purchased coins and tools. I canceled because now you’re limited to 5 failed levels and then you can’t play for bit until lives are replenished. For some levels it means you can only play for 10 minutes and then wait for more lives. Annoying. Playing other games now. It was fun until now. Players who make in-game purchases play for long periods of time but with the introduction of lives, players like me will stop playing. Bad move with the limited lives.

If the developers think that the freebies will be enough for players to keep the same momentum of playing as in previous version of this game, then why introduce the lives? Listen to your players. Oh if you’re just going to use your hot reply template, don’t bother. Everyone read it already.

Okay, sign in problem is fixed, yeah. Now I am unable to clear level 2427. Tried many times, used boosters and am unable to clear one block, no matter what I do or how many times I attempt to restart this level. The same block is a recurring problem, so I am convinced that this is a system glitch. I am an avid player and would like to continue to be so. Please fix the bugs in this game. Thank you. Sending this complaint again. Please respond and let me know if you are going to fix this glitch or if I need to discontinue playing this game. You responded to another user regarding fixes on the level that they reported. Are you fixing the problems on all levels? I would appreciate a response to my review Thank you.

There was an update a couple of days ago that broke the game. Two days ago, one of the levels wasn’t working properly, which eventually corrected itself. Yesterday, I had to restart every time I moved a level because it wouldn’t open the next level. Now I’m at the last level of a chapter, and it won’t load the last level. What the heck. Don’t push out an update that’s not ready. ETA- aaaaand it’s happened again as of 3/3/22. Now I have a level that literally freezes every time I’m about to clear it. I even wasted 100 coins to play on and it still froze. I want my coins back. Plus, JewelCrush help webpage is in Chinese and if you go to it, it causes your iPad to crash and restart. So that’s not at all creepy.

At first, game was amusing to do while listening to podcasts. But beware of bugs that freeze up game and then make lives disappear or cause app not to record progress. Have had to redo many levels several times. After a gazillion attempts, I’d make it through a level only to have the system seize up while doing the final star tally. Then I’d go back in, only to find it hadn’t recorded that I’d successfully passed that level. So many bugs plus an impossible level 320 finally made me delete JewelCrush . Sorry but just felt like a waste of time and energy.

So massively disappointing. I keep it updated and I won’t spend money. Wait- maybe that’s it, I’m supposed to spend money. Anyway- I go ahead and wait patiently for the free coins and the coin wheel, as well as every other opportunity to earn coins to keep playing. But I usually just get a message that my advertisement has failed to load and I won’t earn my free coins. No free coins, no way to earn stuff. So I might get stuck on a level for a few days, trying dozens of times to get past it. So while I enjoy the premise of the game and it’s entertaining while I play it, it’s aggravating not to get the advertisements and earn the coins I’m supposed to each day. I’ll revise my review if they clean this annoyance up.

Iv been playing this game for about a year. I used to love this game but now just got frustrating and its sad they make it almost impossible not to purchase items to continue at higher levels. I already pay monthly so I refuse to pay more for special items to help beat levels. This is my second time starting over just because it becomes so hard and more like luck of gems it spits out instead of strategy. Once you get into levels in the 730’s, your bag of items to help you beat a level starts to become empty....I have now played level 734 at least 20 times. This new version with update is so bad...lost the ability to go through task challenges to gain coins and the daily map gifts. The amount of coins it costs for just 5 more moves is so ridiculous at 98 and then for just 5 more, it triples the cost. The spinner to win coins after you beat a level amd watch an add is almost always 5 coins but never more than 10 and I have played at least 50 levels with it. I got my mother into playing and she told me recently she stopped playing because it becomes so hard, its not enjoyable. Mostly, I am disappointed.

At first the user experience was good. Fun game. No glitches. But over the last few weeks I have been noticing minor glitches. First it was once in a while but now it seems regular. I went VIP a couple of weeks ago and it’s gotten worse since then.
The game suspends after watching an ad for a boost. So you have to restart and lose a life. Or when I login it won’t give me my VIP power ups. Today it didn’t give me the 3 extra +5 moves VIPs get per day. But the most frustrating thing is that their tower game on the weekends- resets. I was playing yesterday and made it to level 28. And then this morning At first everything was fine but I went back to the game a while later and the tower had reset back to 1. This happened to me once before too.

It’s a shame because I truly enjoyed this but the glitches are making this a terrible game now.

First off I love match 3 games and this is a fun game. BUT, after level 10 it's non stop ads for non VIP members. I made it to level 18 and had ta go! There's an add after EVERY level. And of course they're the same ads over and over. I get that they want to be paid for their game and I would gladly pay because it's a fun game but I will not ever pay to rent a game. Sometimes I want to play and sometimes I don't. Why would I pay weekly for a game when I'm not playing it?! That's like renting a movie I never plan to watch. In my opinion, this game is way too expensive to go without ads and there's just too many in this game. There was even a pop up ad after the ad, as well as a continuous ad at the bottom. I don't see how this game has such high ratings.

If you’re really into spreadsheets, this might be fun and inexpensive for you. However, I’m on level 1822 & am just now realizing I’ve spent hundreds of dollars to get here. As others have stated, it’s impossible to move past higher levels without purchasing extra moves or helpers.

My biggest concern is how often I seem to “lose” coins when I’ve just purchased large packs. There’s no way to track this from the user standpoint without creating a spreadsheet a manually entering data. I’d be on level 50 if that’s what I had to do, so I think it’s time t stop playing this game.

I’d love to see the backend data from the developer showing my account information to verify I’ve been credited all I’m due, but that’s unrealistic.

Sad cuz I love this game but I can’t love having to buy my way to the top especially when I may not be getting all I purchased

I paid for the no-AD version and bought coins once or twice. I could earn 100 coins per day through challenges, then developer cut it to 50 coins per day. Challenges included watching 3 ADs, and this was okay. Then the developer removed the challenges. Only way to get coins now is to watch ADs or beat the current difficult level. The only way to beat the current difficult level is to spend money to buy coins for boosters. I was watching maybe 10 ADs per day, and the developer wanted more. I deleted the game from my phone. Goodbye.

I like this game but the ads are kind of annoying. One after every level, pretty much, but the most annoying is when I leave JewelCrush for a few seconds like to reply to a text, and when I come back I have to watch an ad, usually one that I can’t X out right away.

Also, after the update, the stars I earn from levels aren’t counting toward the power ups. The bar for stars isn’t filling up, staying at 0 even though I’ve played like 20 levels since the update. Please fix this!

I love this game but had to reinstall it twice after getting to 800+levels because of glitches. Now on my third try I'm finally in the midst of completing a level that took me a long time to conquer and the game just shuts down , takes me back to my Home Screen and I lose the level and all the help I had earned and was using for the level. It's so frustrating.

This game is so addicting and in my opinion, way better than Candy Crush. Unlike Candy Crush, in this game, it gives you so many opportunities to receive items, gold and no lives which makes you play non stop! It’s hard to put down. The levels are easy and challenging which is just my type! this is my first game review ever and to have me taking my time to write a review, this means this game is worth it!

I like playing this game and the further you succeed in the game it gets difficult to score causing you to spend money to get extra chances. I think there should be an upgrade to this game as far as the vip category because as a VIP player I think the prize for the subscription isn’t rewarding enough. But I gave five stars because I am really addictive to this game and to me it is good brain training too.

This isn’t really a review, as much as a question to the developers. It keeps popping up in JewelCrush that if a purchase is made, there won’t be ads. I made a purchase today and am still seeing ads, is that correct? Should I still be getting ads and pop ups saying “No ads with ANY purchase”. I hope that is not a false claim! I understand the reason for ads, but hope you would stick to your side of the deal?!

i have to say, as much as i love the game, i absolutely abhor the new update wherein, if you sit for more than 4 seconds scanning the board for options, it shows the little arrows of what move it suggests, and continues to do so every 4 seconds. incredibly annoying. i just like to be able to think and assess for my next move. please oh please oh PLEASE put it back. it’s so aggravating i almost don’t even want to keep playing. i’m on level 782, and love everything else about the game.

I loved this game up until the last update. I paid for ad free version. Played for months fine. Enjoyed huge list of tasks to earn prizes. Loved spinning wheel could get bonuses. Now ads (for extra coins) don’t load 1/2 the time, the tasks aren’t showing completed and are impossible to complete because it’s not registering I’ve played (currently collect 200 green gems - I’ve play 1 level multiple times just selecting green gems and the bar never fills!!). You have now upped the coins to play on to a minimum of 198! That’s insane! Especially if you played when highest used to be 98!

I much prefer the 2.0! This is ridiculous. It’s like they don’t want you to win levels. Why? The developers don’t suddenly give you real $$ if win all the current levels. 🙄 Give me a break. Just put back the easier tasks and choices. Updates shouldn’t make you want to quite playing an otherwise fun game.
