About Bellus3D FaceApp

Note: You need to pay to unlock each face model if you want to export, remove the logo and use the other premium features for that face model.

FaceApp uses the TrueDepth camera, that is part of FaceID, to scan your face and create a 3D face model.

In-App Purchases - There is an In-app purchase option that allows you to unlock each face model.

Use your iPhone with the built-in 3D TrueDepth Camera to scan your face in such realistic detail that you feel like you are seeing your face inside your phone.

With the model unlock you can export the model in OBJ or STL formats (used for printing, other CAD software, games, avatar makers and more).

The model unlock fee is one time for each face model.

We capture your face very precisely, so you can use it with other apps that need specific measurements - like custom fit eye glasses or custom health care products.

* For full head models, automatically create a water tight model which you would need for printing.

3D VIEWING IN EDGE, EXPLORER, SAFARI, or MOZILLA BROWSERS – Create a shareable URL mobile web browser link so your friends, family or co-workers can see and interactively view your 3D selfie without having the app.

** Your iPhone needs FaceID to work with Bellus3D FaceApp.

MAKE 3D FIGURINES - Use your 3D face scan to make 3D figurines, ornaments, or engraved crystals.

The fee is required for each time you export a paid mask fitter frame.

CAPTURE YOUR FIRST REAL 3D Selfie - Experience what it’s like to capture a real 3D Selfie for the very first time.

After that, you can use the premium features for that model all the time.

Why only one payment tier?

Got this program back when you could create unlimited scans for a year for a reasonable price. Now the only choice is all the scans you can make in one day for $5. That’s quite strange—why not charge per scan, or sell other lengths of time: a week, a month, and so on? Give your customers some choices! The program itself is excellent, but I’m no longer willing to just send somebody a 3D model of their head on the spur of the moment because it costs $5 to do so . A shame to make the output of such a brilliant app so unwieldy and expensive.

I am amazed… It's fantastic

I downloaded Bellus3DFaceApp to use face face scan to create a 3-D printed mask frame. It did cost $1.99 to be allowed to get the file but it was totally worth it after printing. I am mediately used it to make one for my wife and plan to use it for any friends that want one. The fact that the frame is perfectly fit for my face is astounding.

The Covid Mask feature is genius.

Yesterday I used Bellus3DFaceApp to scan my face and I paid the $3 to download the premium Covid mask (.STL) file and I printed it out on my 3d printer. I tested it out and I think it’s an excellent accessory that allows you to get an much better seal on your face when wearing a disposable surgical mask.

Cool app

Bellus3DFaceApp is very well coded, although I’m not sure why my ears always appear in the back of my head as a shadow copy? Maybe it’s a lighting issue? I wish there was a more elegant(cheaper) solution for charging to download each STL file, maybe in the future. Good job!

Not too bad

No bad guys, maybe let the user so a more detailed scan with in addition to moving the head left to right you can also make them
Move the head a little bit up and down to get more accuracy.

WHY CHARGE EVERYTIME !!!!

I was loving Bellus3DFaceApp and is well designed, im into 3D rendering platforms but charging an amount of $0.99 per model is too much for a good review honestly, i pay once for my own face model and when i try to do it again more correctly it charged me again another us dollar, not fair and as a digital creator i feel robbed to be honest 🤦🏼‍♂️ reason why i give only 1 star i hope to change my review in the future and give it 5 stars because i love 3D platforms.

Great app but no video export

Great app - however it freezes when exporting the video to camera roll. Otherwise all works well and the exported 3D files look great.

Works pretty well but is basically a scam

Bellus3DFaceApp tells you you can unlock “premium” or something to give you the ability to export and share your model, but buyer beware, the $0.99 fee only counts for a single scan, rather than an unlock for everything. Do not use with the intent of not having a watermark.

Performs as advertised!

Simply put, after trying a number of options, this is the first (only?) one that worked as advertised without a lot of fuss.

Limited use / low quality / not worth it

Got the month unlimited plan with the hopes to create cool masks for the kids. Scans work, but other than exporting them as STLs and some other formats, there’s no real adjustments or ability to save within app. The STL files are very low resolution, do not work with 3D printer slicers because they’re only one sided - there’s no back, bottom, top of head, just front and sides, which don’t work for printing.

Anonymous

There is no good way to get my face scan obj file to my computer yet because the file is to big and because If I give myself the link I can’t download it from there. If I could this would be helpful, hopefully you guys add it. Still a very cool app though

Can’t even do a basic mask for free?

Bellus3DFaceApp came across my feed from a 3D printing YouTuber I watch. The video shows the initial basic frame as a no charge with other features being “pay for download”. Now you have to pay for it no matter what man ring you opt for? Way to capitalize on people trying to be safe. You can keep your app and your single star.

Best app ever for 3d printing a head

I tried a bunch of apps but they were very complicated and sucked bad. Now I can scale my head down for my scale rc car truck. So happy thanks and great job

Disappointed

I saw Bellus3DFaceApp on a 3D Printing Nerd video clip. He stated the free version of the mask was with the facial scan. Otherwise it is pointless to just print a stock “mask support”. I find it suspicious the senior management are formerly Apple employees, hold patents relating to facial scanning algos. Even if the creator of Bellus3DFaceApp had foregone the 0.99 cents, I’ve designed my own formfitting mask.

Mask fitter does not work with glasses

I decided to try the mask fitter so my mask would lay flat on my face so my glasses won’t fog up. After spending over $30 to print it, the mask fitter frame sits on my nose in the same place my glasses need to sit. I will not be able to use it. Very disappointed and wish I could get my money back.
