Beautiful game that needs bug fixes

Fun and engaging. Rather short for the price since I played through everything within a few hours. But I’m currently very frustrated to find the finally set of bonus levels won’t unlock. Beat all 90 levels and all 18 of the standard bonus levels, then realized there was another lock (the Secret Sky levels, I believe). Beat all 90 levels and all 18 bonus levels on hard mode. The last lock is still locked. Big glitch #2: none of the achievements work. I currently have 0 achievements and each one says 0% of users have achieved them.

Not enough levels

This is a great concept for a puzzle game, but 60 levels is way too short! I finished the game in about 90 minutes. I was hoping this might be my new go-to puzzle game for passing time, but I reached the end so soon! Would love an update with more levels (like, hundreds). The 3-star rating is ONLY because it is too short - if there were hundreds of levels, it’d be 5 stars.

Nice number/logic game, but needs an “Undo” button

I really enjoy sudoku and kenken-type puzzles, and this game is a nice modification of those. My only complaint is the lack of an “undo” button. As you move through the levels, the puzzles become larger and more complicated. Because it’s a logic puzzle, you often want to try a move to see what happens, but if you don’t like the result, you are forced to restart the level. If there was an undo button, you could take back your last move and try another experiment.

Great puzzles, but has an Apple TV navigation issue

The puzzles are great, and I got the game after expansion so no complaints on length.

The reason this gets 3 stars rather than 4 or 5 is the usability of the game on Apple TV is a big problem for me.

I'm using the remote to play, and cannot find a way of jumping to the last puzzle completed. I have to swipe up ad nauseum to get to the latest puzzle set and SWIPING UP ON THE CURRENT PUZZLE TAKES ME ALL THE WAY BACK TO PUZZLE 1.

If I can similarly swipe down on puzzle 1 to get to the latest unsolved, then I'm not going to be able to play until this is fixed.

The cells at the bottom to jump through different color sets appears inaccessible via any button press combination.

Agree Too Short

I too finished this all in a few hours of play, including the hidden levels. Most apps with levels go on and on, this one just stopped abruptly. Plus not sure who saw this, but if you hold down on a hex in the hidden levels it mushrooms into what appears to have hex choices for more complex play, but they are never used?

Any chance you’re adding to this, since it was a paid app??

Make More Levels Please!

Love playing this game before I go to bed! Beautiful music. Beautiful art. Beautiful game. Just add more levels! It doesn’t even need to get progressively difficult. Just add more puzzles! Or maybe you can add an option where we can create new puzzles and we can also play the levels that other players have made.

Too short of a game

I wish it had more levels as i finished it in one day. I also wish i could turn off all the sound effects. I find them VERY annoying. I like to listen to my own music while playing and the sound effects make it hard to listen. Tons of fun but too short of a game and no control over sound effects.

Fun & Polished, But Too Short

EDIT: New Levels
It looks like the developer has added more levels! I still think the game could use at least one, probably two more content updates of this size, but the new levels introduce fun mechanics and I’m really glad to see that the developer listened to feedback and added more content. I think I’ll hold off on bumping my review up from four stars to five until the next content update (assuming there will be another). I’m far more likely to recommend this game now that it has more content. It’s pretty fun!

I bought this game expecting it to last me a couple of weeks, but I beat it in a single night (including the “hidden levels”). The time I played it, I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately there wasn’t much to play. The art is pretty and the concept is inventive, and I appreciated how polished Hexologic was, but it desperately needs more levels added. The developer seems to respond to any review complaining about the lack of content by talking about the 15 hidden levels, which seems pretty tone deaf to me. This response concerns me because it makes me wonder if the developer ever plans to add more levels at all. I would tentatively recommend purchasing Hexologic to people who are prepared for it to end quickly or if the developer does indeed plan to add more levels. What content Hexologic does have is polished and awesome.

GREAT game, but too short :(

I absolutely loved this game and paid the couple bucks to remove the ads right away. The ONLY reason I’m not giving this game 5 stars is because it’s WAY too short!! There were 90 levels and I think 15 bonus levels... they get more difficult as you move along which I liked because this was challenging. Unfortunately it ended right after level 90!!! I would love to see a lot more levels added... this game could easily have more than 300 levels. I was finished the game In only a few days and was hoping it would keep me busy for a bit longer than that! Otherwise, I loved it!

Great but...

This game is a great take on the sudoku style and I had a lot of fun with laying it, however it seriously lacks in mass. I went through all levels in a matter of hours. This was disappointing considering it’s not often that I bring myself to pay for an AppStore game, it wasn’t really worth the $. Yes, quality over quantity is my life motto, but there still needs to be substance if you’re going to charge people. Just wishing for more levels in the future.

Pretty close to perfect

Sound, music, concept, art, increasing difficulty and novelty—all are excellent. And yes, far too few levels, even after the hidden ones. (Which are cool! Maybe interacting w more of the background would lead to extra levels in future editions?) The game does a lot well, and still feels like it has exciting potential.

Great logic puzzler

If you enjoy logic puzzles like I do, this is absolutely worth it. It teaches you how to play effortlessly and then challenges you to look closely. If you take your time in each level you can work out a path to completion without any frustration. Eventually you have to do some guessing which is all part of the fun as you discover your hunch was correct. There are 60 levels and I blew through them in a couple of days, but I loved every second and for a dollar I consider that fair. Definitely interested in more content!

Early in the game

But it’s absolutely fantastic. I love logic/math type games and this is a whole brand new concept. Highly recommend.

I’m not that far in so I’m praising the concept rather than the game play, but even the game play this far is clean, quick and just really well done. Totally worth the 3 bucks.

Top notch, if brief!

This is a positively beautiful game with smooth UI, enchanting visuals and a serene soundtrack—far beyond what one expects of a puzzle game. Its level of challenge is somewhat above moderate, requiring thorough logic but also some trial and error. Only caveat is the game length, which at roughly 100 levels (200 with “hard” mode) won’t last a decent airplane flight.

Very unique game, but lacks content.

This is by far one of my favorite puzzle games because of how simple it is. It requires a bit of strategy and puzzle thinking but it so peaceful. This is wonderful game and I wish there were more levels or worlds you could go to. It’s very simple and geometric which i like!!!

Love it, but...

I love everything about this game!it is beautiful, the concept is terrific, the change in difficulty is just right. BUT, like most of the other people on here I have to agree, it was over before I knew it and I was so disappointed to find myself at the end within only a couple of days. Please add more levels, I want to keep playing!

Compelling puzzle game

I love the core idea here. Seeing how each puzzle gently prods you toward its solution is a delight once you start putting everything together. For an added challenge, try to find the “secret” bonus puzzles, and once you have everything down pat, turn off the in-game hints for the ultimate challenge. The only complaint i have is that there were fewer puzzles than i’d hoped for. However, the ones that made the cut are very high quality, so i’m not too sad.

Great game!!

I’ve been playing for about 30 minutes and I love it so far.

The only thing it’s missing is the ability to mark which hexes you’re confident are correct, just like notes in Sudoku or flags in mine sweeper.

Add that feature and it would be a 5 Star game!!

Excellent! Need more levels!

These puzzles were so much fun. I was a little hesitant because, you know, math. But it’s more logic-with-numbers than math. The puzzles are just challenging enough without being impossible. The music and art is beautiful! The only disappointing thing is that there aren’t more levels! I finished the whole game, including hidden levels, in a couple days. Can’t wait for more levels!! Would also like to see a way to mark cells (e.g. this cell can’t be 3, this row needs 1 more)

Great game, needs more challenging levels!

I loved the game and it was well worth the money. But I was bummed when I finished it - there are only 60 levels, and I would love to play hundreds of levels. Also turning off the music in game does not turn off the sound effects; it would be nice to have a separate control for that in the settings.
