Need to fix the issue

2022-05-22

Everything seems to be ok with the performance of the system, except when I need to view the recording on a certain event and I can not forward it from my devise while looking at the video. I have to waste my time guessing the exact moment the event happened because I don’t have a way to forward or rewind the recording (while looking at it) to be able to find the event or moment that I am looking for.
This has been extremely frustrating to me and would also be for anyone who invest the money on a surveillance system that you have to waste your time guessing at exactly the hour, minute and second the event happened. Please come up with the solution to this issue. It would definitely make our lives easier and save us time.
I would definitely give you a five star rating if this was fixed.
Thank you.

So much better than previous lorex apps, but stability and crashing makes it almost unusable.

2022-06-23

Previous Lorex apps were marginal at best, very difficult to navigate and unusable for watching recordings.

The “Home” App improves things quite a bit with easily accessible recording timelines and a much cleaner interface, however, it is plagued with constant crashes and strange issues of cameras not being available (but fine on the direct DVR/NVR display) which only gets resolved by factory resetting the DVR/NVR.

Previous apps had no problem displaying multiple cameras in a grid but this one tends to crash when one attempts. Actually it crashes when you just swipe between cameras. Really it just crashes, a lot. I hope their app developer can get to the bottom of this and apply some real QA. If the reply is “network issues” then obviously there needs to be some simple error handling in LorexpreviouslyLorexHome vs just crashing.

Perhaps the most infuriating thing is that LorexpreviouslyLorexHome is TERRIBLE on an IPad whereas the previous ones at least would use the whole screen and not be an upscale IPhone app.

In summary, UX and UI have been improved over previous efforts, but QA and proper device support needs serious attention.

Why only 3 days of events??

2022-07-24

LorexpreviouslyLorexHome keeps getting worse. The problem I’ve had with the timeline not showing properly and many uhoh something went wrong. I updated hoping it would fix issues and now I can only view 3 days of events? Am I missing something? I have a red alert in LorexpreviouslyLorexHome but I can’t get rid of it because it goes 4 days back. I had them cleared and it reappeared says it’s for 3/30 but I can’t view it because there’s no ability to. I can only view 3/31, 4/1, and 4/2. This is on my new iPad. It’s a shame I can’t update my iPhone because it’s the only thing that works properly for your app running older iOS and app versions. If this is made to go a week back for timeline why can I no longer view the events that way. So frustrating and where do you report feedback or issues for this?

Nothing but problems

2022-08-25

We bought the Lorex cameras about a year ago. Its never quite worked right. We have constant issues viewing the playback, it constantly locks me out, wont let me view any of the camera views and says my password is incorrect even after I’ve changed it. I deleted LorexpreviouslyLorexHome reinstalled it and now the new version constantly asks for my password to view anything and every single time it says wrong password! I can’t view anything on any of the 4 cameras and now the latest issue is the one time I did get to view a playback the cameras are showing upside down! I l’ve never seen a camera system with so many issues. Friends who have other brands of camera systems have never had these issues. I don’t recommend this product at all and definitely read reviews before you purchase any camera system. I’m sticking to consumer reports from now on!!

Want to return buyers be aware

2022-09-26

I been using Lorex system for almost two years, it been a nightmare from the beginning LorexpreviouslyLorexHome is not intuitive just to say the least. In my case whatever setting I do in lorex app in my phone it NEVER work most of my cameras don’t send motivation to my phone. I call lorex after almost 2 hours on the phone they fix the problem for one day I’m so frustrated with LorexpreviouslyLorexHome and the lorex system it want lorex replace my system with a different one cause it simply don’t work not even close as advertise. Buyers be aware if you buy lorex and you install LorexpreviouslyLorexHome this is what you can expect
PRO
video quality is good

COM
app is don’t work as it should need a lot of tlc
TOO much faults notifications
Settings on LorexpreviouslyLorexHome or the system don’t really work.
Lorex technician don’t have time for you when you call
The setting is very complicating in the system and in LorexpreviouslyLorexHome
I feel that lorex fail on all basic things that security camera do these days it’s a very complicated system to use, and all the basics function you expect from an expensive camera system like lorex don’t work as it suppose to. In my circumstance time schedule, perimeter, notification, none of those options work as they supposed too

Very difficult to use on multiple devices

2022-10-27

The Lorex applications for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV4K only permit one device to be logged in at a time. The problem with this restriction comes when your iPad (or Apple TV) is logged in and you wish to view the cameras with your iPhone. If you are away from the logged-in device, there is no easy way to login to another device without first logging out on the active device. So if you’re traveling without your iPad or Apple TV, which may be logged in, you cannot view the security camera feeds on your iPhone without returning home and logging out of the iPad (or Apple TV) application. There should be a default in LorexpreviouslyLorexHome to log you out of the first device when logging in to another device. Or, simply permit multiple logins.

Mediocre

2022-11-28

Just bought a new Lorex system at Costco because I had a prior Lorex system at my last house and liked it. The system itself is great and I’m happy with the cameras and other hardware so far but the Lorex Home app is disappointing. It works nice on my phone but there is no iPad version, only the iPhone version. My last Lorex system must have used another app because I was able to use the iPad to view the cameras. You can load the iPhone version on an iPad but the dimensions keep the phone dimensions so you gain nothing in screen size by using your iPad! Furthermore, and even more importantly, it seems that you can only login to your cameras on one device at a time. If I try to log in on the iPad (despite the small display) it logs me out of the iPhone. When I need to quickly check my cameras because something might be happening, I don’t want to have to log in again because I was logged out by using another device. I didn’t have this issue with my prior Lorex system (which used the Lorex cloud app I believe) so I’m not sure why a newer system has a worse app supporting it.

I know Lorex can do better! Please upgrade the Lorex Home app to have a native iPad version and also allow to login on more than one device.

Froze my iPhone twice now.

2022-12-29

While using LorexpreviouslyLorexHome the screen became on responsive frozen on a view, no buttons were no swipe up to get out, completely locked up. I couldn’t even shut off my phone it was just on frozen with that screen. The first time it happened I thought it was dead because the screen went black after about a minute so I plugged it in and it came back on. But the second time it stayed on and wouldn’t turn off. But yet I could feel the haptic responses from holding the power button or taking a screenshot, those appear to be working in the background although I couldn’t see what was happening. It actually saved a screenshot of what looks like a normal screen but that’s not what I was seeing, it was still showing me the frozen screen from LorexpreviouslyLorexHome . It eventually went back to normal after I plugged it in and rebooted. Kind of scary!

A good start

I chose Lorex in order to avoid paying a monthly subscription fee. So far, I’m content but not blow away by LorexpreviouslyLorexHome and it’s functionality. Here are a few suggestions:
- Privacy Mode should be able to be turned on/off by my physical location. The notifications work this way, so why not with this function?
- I also have Lorex outdoor cameras and using two apps for both is a bit annoying. Sure, I know about fusion, but that doesn’t solve my exiting problem of the cameras I have outside and what I have inside. Further, one can only add two WiFi devices to the fusion NVR, which is not ideal for someone who has the doorbell and 4 indoor cameras (like me).
- Having to send my wife a separate invite email each time a camera was added was annoying. Either allow the account to be shared (which is currently not possible) or allow the primary user to add a secondary using that’s also an admin.
- Would be great if I could modify camera function with Google Assistant. For example, if I run a nighttime routine on Google, one of the functions google should be able to do is turn off privacy mode.
- Each time a camera was added, I needed to pick a time zone. Since these devices connect to the internet, why not just pull the location data that way?

Let more than 1 device log in at once on same account!

2023-03-03

We have had the Lorex Cloud for almost 2 years with 8 cameras outside our house and love them. We decided to get 2 cameras for the inside and had to download LorexpreviouslyLorexHome for those cameras. I’m also disappointed that I have to have 2 separate apps for these. What makes me more unhappy other than having to have 2 separate apps is that only one of us can be logged in at a time! Please fix this!!!

RESPONSE:
I am aware of the sharing, but what I dislike is that after my husband shared it with me, if I am to disable the cameras (privacy mode), he is alerted, but if he does it, I am not alerted. So again, I think one of these issues, whether it be more than one device can be logged in at the same time, or both users should be alerted needs to be fixed in my pov.

Anyone having trouble with the app?

2023-04-01

I posted a review a couple days ago and after reading responses to other peoples’ problems with LorexpreviouslyLorexHome it seems as though the same response is used over and over again - that it’s a network problem and to move the camera and other hardware closer to the modem. If it worked before and the cameras and other hardware haven’t moved why did it stop working? I do hope you work on your app and get it to work more efficiently. I share the Lorex home account with my nephew and it’s worked fine on my iPhone up until a couple of weeks ago. I can no longer access the live view on any of the cameras. I get alerts that there is motion at a certain camera but it will not load on LorexpreviouslyLorexHome .I tried on my phone’s data, 2G, and 5G. It worked on the data and 2G before. I sent an email to the company and was told that it’s a network issue. Nothing has changed with my network but your app no longer works.

Motion detection needs improvement

2023-05-03

Most of LorexpreviouslyLorexHome is great, but the motion detection needs a lot of improvement. I get too many notifications even when I tried to tweak all the available settings to minimize false positives. LorexpreviouslyLorexHome has detect vehicles and detect persons and they work really well. It also has motion zones to let you specify areas that you only want motion detection and notifications to happen. Unfortunately, you can’t specify vehicle/person only in the motion zones. As a result, I get notifications every time a person or vehicle goes by the road that we are on, when I only want notifications when there is a person/vehicle comes onto our driveway.

If Lorex can fix this, the LorexpreviouslyLorexHome would be 5/5. As it is now, I have to turn off notifications, greatly reducing how useful LorexpreviouslyLorexHome could be.

Good enough.

2023-06-03

1. The live view stutters badly, and seems to have to reload a lot, especially when there’s motion on the video.

2. The the timeline video seems to stutter quite a bit too, especially when there’s motion on the video.
My internet is over Ethernet, and the down is 200mbps, and the up is 25mbps.

3. If you’re viewing a timeline or live video, and you are zoomed into the video, if it stutters/reloads, it will zoom back out and go

4. The audio (maybe not this apps fault) is practically useless because the quality is so horrendous. This goes for live view and timeline video.
Interestingly, if your camera has two way audio, the quality of playing audio is acceptable on the camera, but the the camera recording the audio is awful.
I’m using Lorex cameras E891AB.

5. The events tab where you can see clips where motion was detected, the clips often times miss out on the first 5-10 seconds motion was detected. So if a car passes by, the clip will only record maybe the last half of a second the car was in view.

6. The motion zones don’t work. You’re supposed to select areas of the screen where if motion is detected, you’ll get notified, but of course this doesn’t work.

Takes long time to load up cameras

2023-07-05

Can the speed be increased while checking cameras and not connected to wifi? I recently switched to Verizon thinking it would resolved my issue but everytime i try to connect or switch through cameras/channels sometimes it works good and theres times were it would keep loading and takes me out LorexpreviouslyLorexHome and have to close and reopen the most frustrating part is this was all happening while my house was being broken into. Although system is recording 24/7 i was really upset i was not able to see cameras live because image kepped freezing please lorex fix the issue these cameras arnt cheap and we rely on remote viewing. I have an 8 year old lorex system at my other house and doesnt do this at all. Please help

Solid App, really good product

2023-08-05

First off this application is a solid 4/5 for me. It set up easily, works remotely and is very efficient (low lag when doing things). A few things I would LOVE to see:
• When looking at playback/timeline- WHY does it start at midnight every time?? I have absolutely no interest in seeing a recording starting at midnight if it’s 8pm now. Just show me the current video with the option to go backwards
• Can the live view be automatically initiated when I open LorexpreviouslyLorexHome ? It’s an extra step and kinda annoying
• Can the detection notifications play a short clip instead of a static image? It’s a great feature I love on a similar product

iPhone 13 Pro Upgrade Issues

2023-09-06

Recently upgraded from an iPhone XS to iPhone 13 Pro, nothing but issues. Can’t stream or see playback from my cameras. LorexpreviouslyLorexHome says there is an error. Tried deleting and reinstalling app already. I hope the developers find the issue and are able to fix it quick. My Internet speed works just fine. Maybe my NVR needs settings tweaked in the meantime for a quick fix. Great app when it works. I think LorexpreviouslyLorexHome should show camera feed options in a vertical orientation vs. a horizontal.

***Update ***
Horizontal scrolling of camera feeds was added. Thank you developers! Please add dark mode support when viewing my camera feeds at night, the white background borders are too bright!

Great Improvements from Years Ago

2023-10-08

I have owned Lorex cameras for several years and they have definitely improved their app and the quality of their cameras are very good. I have the wireless cameras for around my house and over the last year or so, they have been very reliable. I also have Arlo cameras for outside and they do not compare at all to the Lorex cameras for the night version. The Lorex cameras are far superior. In addition, the Lorex cameras connect much quicker than the Arlo cameras so you can view what’s going on instead of having to wait approximately five seconds, or more, for the Arlo cameras to connect.

Outstanding!

2023-11-08

This is my third upgrade with Lorex and the fourth system I’ve purchased from Lorex. I’ve been extremely pleased with each surveillance system I’ve purchased. They have all performed extremely well, and with very little intervention on my part. In 20 years I’ve have one software failure- which Lorex quickly replaced and I replaced two HDD with larger drives after a single failure. Other than that- that’s it! The current generation is amazing! Identifying people and objects, software upgrades, additional light, siren, and the ability to review all data on the HDD remotely is AMAZING. Lorex keeps up with the times!

Awesome Camera

2023-12-10

I had the Arlo pro, wireless. Besides constantly having to charge it. It just kept going in and out . I have Verizon Fios everything would work in the house but the cameras would always go out. On too of thay I always had to re-sync the cameras when it did that . Since have the Lorex wired system. I haven’t had to recharge anything and it doesn’t go in and out due to the WiFi. Constant coverage all the time . And I get to speak over a 2 way audio system. I wished I would have done it sooner. I spent $550 of the Arlo pro and for $200 mores I got a better system . As the world is in crazy times , I feel safe knowing my home and the people in it are protect when I’m away. Thanks Lorex!

Annoying but worked when needed

2024-01-10

We get many notifications throughout the day, and I am working on the settings to lessen the many non-movement ones. That said it did work when needed. We had a adored local grocery where both owners were stabbed over a customer not wearing a mask in the store. At the time I was on vacation. We heard from neighbors about the incident and immediately checked our front camera trying to see if we could see the suspect walking by. While looking on LorexpreviouslyLorexHome I noticed a notification for our parking area in the back. I checked and there he was, crossing our neighbors backyard through ours. I called the police immediately and they searched our backyard. The suspect was no longer there but they knew the direction he was heading. All while on vacation. It works - thank you!

Oh my Gosh!

2024-11-17

New system, upgrade better said. Few issues with this new system are app and camera flexibility to aim. The old cameras were mounted on to an electric junction box for ease to aim the cameras with a two point position, i,e. Screw to move up & dwn and base to rotate cameras 360. New cameras feel and look strong. Downside, one screw to move up & dwn and rotate 360. Totally impossible to nail the aim. And if need to make an adjustment good luck, loosening the screw to make adjustment will throw off your aim. The Lorex Home app another ps!!!!! After all struggles to setup the NVR with a switch finally got it connected. The NVR and LorexpreviouslyLorexHome got to connect and online. Close the Lorex Home app and when launch LorexpreviouslyLorexHome to view cameras, error message, offline... NvR is recording as I could see the images on the TV, but nothing on the iPhone app. FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬

Playback motion video differs from nvm

2024-11-17

I have to agree with most of the users about LorexpreviouslyLorexHome, simply terrible. I have had my system since Dec2019 with 4k cameras. I struggled and struggled trying to figure out why my videos were cut off, and not showing accurately length when motion was detected. I.e. Video would stop just when I entered frame or leaving. Then I decided to login to the nvr and realized the cameras were actually recording my motion footage correctly in its entirety. The “Lorex Home “ does not match the same video event as the nvr does. My home network is rock solid and has plenty of bandwidth to handle this system. The fingerprint login for iPhone is buggy, and I have not gotten it to work on my iPad. I too agree with users that LorexpreviouslyLorexHome should allow multiple logins, iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Finally overall the layout of LorexpreviouslyLorexHome and the local nvr app are very poor.

Doesn’t play back and keeps dropping cameras

2024-11-17

I installed the system on a rental property about 500 miles away from my home. It was only able to get it working for 2 of the 4 cameras, but I had to leave as new renters were arriving. I didn’t try the playback feature. When I try to view the cameras, most of the time it tries to get the view and gives up. Several times I couldn’t even select the cameras; it was like they didn’t exist. I called support and they had me uninstall and reinstall LorexpreviouslyLorexHome on my iPad. It worked being able to see both cameras. I then asked about the playback and they said I needed to be at the system to fix it. Why would a security system that I bought for a rental property require me to be there to get it working? Since talking to support a few days ago, I am now down to only 1 camera working. Overall, a piece of junk.

Offline Errors Persist

2024-11-17

The Lorex Home App works okay for days to a few weeks before not being able to connect to the system. LorexpreviouslyLorexHome gives an “offline” error message when trying to view any camera live feed, or review any recordings. Completed a full troubleshoot of all Lorex and network hardware -no issues whatsoever. Re-started and refreshed everything, hardware and software. LorexpreviouslyLorexHome still showed cameras “offline” despite that they are working perfectly. Contacted Lorex support and they indicated a reset of something on their end which made it work again and connect. Today I needed to check my camera system live feed and found LorexpreviouslyLorexHome broken again with the same “offline” error. After looking online it appears that other customers have also been having this same problem. Lorex please fix this issue. Now time to call customer support again.

TERRIBLE APP for a TERRIBLE security system

2024-11-17

Alerts you of every thing! I literally get 500 notifications a day! I wake up to about 100! It alerts me of every shadow, every bug, fog, a spiderweb, dust, every little annoying thing! And the one time someone stole off my front porch it didn’t tell me! Plus the way it records it doesn’t get the whole thing, sometimes I’ll get just the mailman leaving but not him walking up. How does that help me if someone breaks in?!?! Not only that, it doesn’t give real time alerts. It actually tells you 30-45 seconds AFTER something happens. When I’m looking at the live view of my cameras usually only the first one works and I can’t slide over to see the others. I have to constantly close and reopen app to do that and to even view the alerts. Constantly it doesn’t load, or there’s an error. Also I can no longer change the sensitivity?!?!?! And smart zones do nothing!

Slow Notifications, No Smart Alerts and No Pad App!

2024-11-17

LorexpreviouslyLorexHome has great potential but as it stands now, it’s not good at all. It is missing some basic functionality that security camera systems should have. The basic functionality missing includes:

* No smart alerts. I just get a message that activity was detected on a camera, I click the notification to open LorexpreviouslyLorexHome , and then have to click the play button to see the video. A very slow process when dealing with potential security concerns. Lorex needs to implement smart alerts so that a video is included with the alert so you can get a quick snapshot of the activity. Other security systems have this feature.
* No iPad app. Why no iPad app? Come on Lorex. Get with it.
* Can’t manage basic system settings in LorexpreviouslyLorexHome . I wanted to rename a camera and guess what, that’s right, you can’t do it in LorexpreviouslyLorexHome . Let me plug in a monitor and mouse to the box like it’s 1995 to rename a camera.

Also, notification, not smart remember, take 45 to 60 seconds to appear on my phone. WAY TO SLOW for a security system. By the time I’m notified, an intruder could have cleaned me out.

It’s really disappointing that a security company can’t include basic functionality in their app. I can’t recommend this solution to others as it just lacks basic features other systems have and puts users at risk with security concerns.

App is VERY buggy.

2024-11-17

I’ve been on and off the phone with Lorex support for the past two weeks. Basically they won’t admit fault that there are serious bugs, and that it’s an issue with my mobile device, though I’ve tried LorexpreviouslyLorexHome on my iPad and get the same exact issues. My issues are: every alert is duplicated 2-4 times. So I have to scroll through 20-30 videos and be alerted 20-30 times for just 10 actual instances. Another thing is ‘smart motion.’ This feature is no different or better than actual motion. I was told that smart motion either detects a person or car and you can select which one (or both) you’d like to detect. Unfortunately this feature still picks up a fly bussing around, a shadow and even the occasional squirrel or bird. I’ve deactivated smart motion and just use motion detection. Pretty bummed about that because I spent the extra money for this feature. I was told I need to reposition my cameras to ‘fix’ this issue. I’m sorry but repositioning my cameras won’t stop a bird bug or shadow. These are just a few of about 10 issues that are essentially non-fixable.

Playback Issues

2024-11-17

The video is clear and so far it works well. LorexpreviouslyLorexHome however, is terrible. It’s not the most user friendly but the bigger issue is that the playback almost NEVER works. I have to look at it on my monitor at home, which isn’t convenient when I’m remotely looking into a concern. One of the primary reasons for getting a decent system was my ability to monitor away from home, but so far I am only able to check into the live feed. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Also, why can only one person login? Multiple people live in homes with security, it makes sense that two people should be able to view footage and login without it kicking the other person off.

Works, but needs some basic fixes to be usable

2024-11-17

There are several problems, that if fixed would add a star or two! 1) allow scrubbing of video from ALL cameras. 2) allow PAUSE NOTIFICATIONS based on Apple Home and/or presence of authorized devices (i.e. when my iPhone is in the office STOP SPAMMING IT WITH ALERTS THAT SOMEONE IS TRIGGERING THE MOTION DETECTOR!! Aaargh! OF COURSE motion is being detected; we are in the office and Home knows this. Lorex should too. That’s my biggest gripe at this point.

Was:
Was a solid three stars now ZERO
Why do companies keep throwing BROKEN “updates” at us and FORCING us to install them?!? Last night I had full remote functionality, Now I cannot connect to the Lorex AT ALL.

Great cameras. Ok app

2024-11-17

This camera system works quite well. Good wife angle image and does great in low light. My issue is more with LorexpreviouslyLorexHome . When I open LorexpreviouslyLorexHome it goes to a main screen. I would rather it opens up immediately to my 4 camera feeds to watch instantly.
I want to update my older 8-camera system with another Lorex but I hold back because of this issue. My other Camera system’s app opens up to my last viewed camera feeds immediately. Great for security and convenience. I would hope that Lorex will make this an option in a future update.
Also, when you are viewing your Lorex cameras and want to choose just one camera, it cycles through 1,4, and 9 boxes. You can’t just double click the camera box you want to view. You would think this is something that can be done simply by Lorex. I really hope they can fixed that as well.

All in all it is a good camera system to buy. I only hesitate to upgrade myself due to LorexpreviouslyLorexHome experience.

Led won’t turn off!!! Motion detection slow.

2024-11-17

I have four of the newer LNW series active deterrent WiFi cameras and the image quality so far is excellent. Inside the house I want the led warning lights to stay OFF. When I select that option it just says “failed to save”. The led lights still come on every time it senses motion and even if I turn off the led light option on the main settings tab it still turns on.
Seems like a bug that needs to be updated in the firmware. Please fix ASAP.
Also, the motion detection itself is REALLY slow. The camera itself should activate and start recording instantly caching to the local SD card without relying on an acknowledgement from the cloud service. You need to update that ASAP as well.
Thanks.

Lots of penitential please fine tune

2024-11-17

This camera system is good, I use it to secure a 32 meter by 22 meter fence where I park my two John Deere excavators, the image is very good I can read car plates as I zoom in. LorexpreviouslyLorexHome has lots of potential. But lacks in speed for connecting and the main issue is when switching to HD from SD it takes forever , meanwhile I have another camera from the competition and their camera streams to my phone in had really fast ... please fine tune this issue. Now switching cameras they all have to reload again ??? Can’t they just load once and have them running in the back so that I may switch between cameras seamlessly. That would be perfect. Last issue I can’t play recorded feed. I go to time line and I go back just about an hour to try and nothing there. My ndvr is all setup perfectly I am a very tech savvy person which makes me a bit angry as to why I can’t play recorded events on my phone .. it’s the whole reason to have LorexpreviouslyLorexHome to live stream and to replay events.. now a days app performance is a selling point, I would highly recommend to fine tune LorexpreviouslyLorexHome more and more so that user experience is better to the point people recommend the user experience as well as the quality of the product.

Different Ringtone for alerts/notification

2024-11-17

LorexpreviouslyLorexHome is easy to use. You can control the deterrence sound and light from your phone. Also you can control the microphone audio from your phone if your system is a 2 way audio. The only thing is the person has to be near the camera so you can hear but that’s the system itself, not LorexpreviouslyLorexHome .
One thing I like lorex developers to do for LorexpreviouslyLorexHome is to enable a feature so that we can customize the notification ring tone on our phone. Right now, I have the same ringtone for other alerts. I know that LorexpreviouslyLorexHome embedded in the phone can be change but it’s more convenient if we can change the ringtone on this 3rd party app. If we hear the sound for our surveillance system, we know to pick up it instead of hearing a ringtone and picking up and it’s an email alert. I’ve only been using LorexpreviouslyLorexHome for 2 days and There maybe some more issues I find down the road but for now but this is what I think is convenient. Hopefully the next update can have ringtone customization for alerts/notifications.

Works fine

2024-11-17

It works with my N841 system without problems. Hire some specialist if you can’t get it going. All features works except one thing: if I click on motion notification, I am able to see a 10 sec clip of trigger but if I go into system itself to see past triggers from mobile app, no clips are present. Other than that, it really smart up the way of surveillance. You can even set geofence area to receive notifications only when away. Light and siren works only on demand 2 way talk works in same time just like a phone, you don’t have to hold for talk like other devices.

Love the design

For me LorexpreviouslyLorexHome and system is such an upgrade from my Alibi system. I just installed it yesterday so I know it's new, but I live the quality of the images, field of view and function of the system. I read some complaints on here mostly from LorexpreviouslyLorexHome which are easy fixes if addressed. However, coming from what I had before LorexpreviouslyLorexHome is so much nicer and user friendly. I look forward to the system. Only thing that would have been nice is to include some base plates to mount them on for those replacing existing systems.

I have a Lorex system D841A8, and as of May 6, 2023, I was able to view on my iPhone, as well as my iPad using the shared user option. On May 6, 2023, my Lorex Home App went to blue screen, and has been that way ever since. After some research, I found that the Lorex home app is now only compatible for I smart phones, and that the Lorex Cloud app is only compatible with iPads. So I downloaded the Lorex Cloud app and went through the install process and now I am able to see my cameras on my iPad again, as well as seeing on my iPhone with the Lorex home app. I am not sure if this will help anyone, but I just thought I'd put it out here
