Canon Mini Print Reviews

I got my ivy printer for my birthday/christmas! Super excited to print some more in the future, just printed my first pic.
I will say that CanonMiniPrint crashed 3 times the first time I used it. The third time it crashed I was using the photo editing feature, and lost what little edits I made to my picture.
Overall I’d definitely edit my pictures with the picsart app instead.
This is also a minor thing, but it would be cool if CanonMiniPrint icon was a little more nice. It is a bit of an eyesore compared to the polaroid zip app icon.
But the printer itself is adorable, sleek, and super more convenient than a fujifilm camera. Just take your pics and print them wherever!

CanonMiniPrint works in the sense that it prints your pictures but that is about all it does. It doesn’t let you zoom/rotate accurately. You can’t put on filters, stickers, frames mainly because you can’t see what you are clicking on. The icons will never load. (Takes so much time to click on each one and see what they are) I honestly love this printer and I think CanonMiniPrint is a good concept, but sadly it just doesn’t deliver.

This little printer gets the job done as far as printing pics on the spot. It makes my journaling more interesting. The pictures aren’t always clear but that’s alright I didn’t expect precision camera print quality. Now the big thing that is beyond frustrating is the frames and stickers and everything else inside CanonMiniPrint DONT WORK! I got to download each item and they never pop up - I've reset, redownloaded, looked up how to apply frames, stickers etc and nothing works. It never did this until they did the new update and suddenly it doesn’t work. This is why I give the low rating otherwise it would be a 5 star.

Wish I could add more than one photo to CanonMiniPrint at a time,also tried to do aCollage and I assumed since there was no way to crop pictures within CanonMiniPrint that it would do it automatically but I wound up with 2 pictures on one picture with the heads cut off in both. Also I only wanted to print one photo and I don’t know why but it printed three copies of the same. Wish I had some help. I have read online all that I can and researched but I see nothing. It seems CanonMiniPrint is very limited. But I do enjoy the stickers and the borders and being able to choose my font.

CanonMiniPrint works pretty well and I like all the ads ones you can add in to your photos. Only problem is you can’t adjust where the photos go when you put in a border !!

Second problem: When I started printing one day, when I tried to print a photo and it doubled it, meaning I wasted a sheet of the paper, that is pretty scarce where I am. Or it’s just really expensive. Anyways, I am just informing you guys and I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else- but otherwise it’s a great app to print photos with!!

CanonMiniPrint and the Canon Ivy printer overall are amazing! It prints great pictures and it’s so fun to use! The printer itself is the perfect size to travel with (compared to a bulky Polaroid/Fujifilm instant camera). However, maybe it’s just my phone, but CanonMiniPrint seems to take forever to work—it takes a while once the picture is in queue to print and the “spinning wheel of doom” lingers on my screen for a while. Once it actually begins scanning and printing, it doesn’t take more than thirty seconds before I have a lovely little picture in my hand. I definitely recommend!

I love this printer it’s amazing but CanonMiniPrint could REALLY use some work it’s SO slow sometimes and my pictures never load unless I have already clicked on them so it’s a guessing game and the style is very basic there also are not many frames, stickers, text or filters to choose from the hp sprocket app has many more choices AND they are faster (my pics also actually load) BUT the canon one does print better and more accurate quality
I like the hp sprocket app and editing better
But
I like the canon print quality better

I love my printer so much but I haven’t been able to use it in about a month because CanonMiniPrint isn’t working ever. It won’t print, it won’t preview stickers, frames, filters, etc. I was in love with this when I first got it, it worked like a dream! Not sure what happened but all I want to do is use my printer and I can’t. UPDATE PLEASE! Kind of pointless to own the printer if I can’t even use it and of course it’s out of return policy period.

Every time I go in to print from my mini printer their is always lines in the picture when it’s done printing. It’s rlly annoying cause I have updated it and I want quality pictures. I love CanonMiniPrint but I can’t use my mini printer if this doesn’t get fixed. I hate it bc I want to add new pics to my wall but I can’t cause everyone I print something it has lines going through it. The the slips of paper that you print with is to expensive for my photos not to be right.

This is the coolest thingBeing the Polaroid junkie that I am the feeling of instant gratification to keep a picture that I just took is multiplied with us because so many times while using a Polaroid I have thought dang I wished I could print out pictures I already took well ladies and gents this is it print so fast it’s easy to use and and and the back pills off so you can stick the picture to anything you want la blah blah blah blah

I keep a daily planner and use it as a scrapbook. I print mini pics and this mini printer is perfect. It is easy to use and the quality is great. I had been using a different brand for two years but CanonMiniPrint was constantly crashing. My only two concerns with this one so far, it seems i have to go into settings to connect it to Bluetooth with each use, and when using the collage feature i have not been able to rotate the pics. Otherwise it is pretty awesome.

Absolutely love this printer! I bought it for my daughters baby book originally an now use it for almost everything! Especially love the sticky-backed photo paper you can buy with it. Suggestions, add more frames maybe make it possible to edit the frames, add more stickers! An more little DIY tips! Other than that, perfect! Keep up the great work!

When CanonMiniPrint works it’s great. Far too often CanonMiniPrint show the photo sent to the printer (solid blue line) but never goes into print mode. The little white light will continue blinking away until the printer shuts itself off or runs out of battery. Cancelling print clears the queue but not the jam. Turning everything on and off and pressing the reset button also don’t work. The only way to clear this problem is to delete CanonMiniPrint and reinstall — and sometimes you have do that multiple times. Canon is supposed to be a leader in this field. I’ve been using Canon cameras, printers, and copiers for years. Shame on you Canon for releasing CanonMiniPrint.

I love my mini printer! She is amazing in every way and lets me design my room with beautiful photos. But it takes so long for the pictures to start printing, and a lot of times CanonMiniPrint will cause photos to stop printing, and I will be kicked out of CanonMiniPrint ! I have to log back in and start my printing queue back up. Overall, it’s a amazing, perfectly sized mini printer, but just needs a few touch ups!

Works very well, though more editing options would be nice, overall I love it! ❤️ Five out of five! I just printed my first photo, the speed and quality is wonderful. Just keep in mind to be careful if there is something in the photo that is important, may get cut out if put too close to the edge of the photo area. The canon app helps you print pictures and ques stuff onto your ivy, I have an mini print Ivy. I love CanonMiniPrint, super useful and it’s a very fun way to print photos! It doesn’t use any film, uses sink paper and lasers it onto the zink paper, I would recommend the zink paper, it works best with the product. Really great app! Love it! Thank you!

While i do use this for printing pictures for friends and family this is also a perfect tool for journaling and scrapbooking! I love getting to use this daily and would recommend this for those who wish to have a mini printer for easy on the go printing!

I would love to be able to create a preset for thing such as borders and frames. This way I could print out various pictures different times without having to set the free frame to be the same as the others. I like having a little border so i can write on it with sharpie and I want all the pictures to be the same size

I watched several videos to check out different printers. I chose this one because of the reviews, the ratings, and the overall quality. Totally worth the investment. I don’t do large scrapbooks anymore (minimizing), but this was perfect for making a small photo album!

I got this item for Xmas and I printed off of a picture it turned out nice and smooth other comments are saying that it was blotchy, it might depend on your phone type or which mini printer you get. I would recommend not doing dark photos because they don’t turn out as great but this is a pretty nice app, it’s easy but I would recommend not using the filters, just my opinion.

So um I just graduated as valedictorian & it was my birthday the same month. My sister and I found this at Xcite and I asked my mom for this. I was so excited. I spent hours reading the manuals, instructions, and warranty terms and conditions because I honestly fell IN LOVE with my printer. CanonMiniPrint and printer work perfectly... Except for the fact that my gallery won't load. Overall I still love my printer but I honestly need help .-.

I loved my daughter, she is very happy to use it and with the application she was happier where she could create the photos to her liking, put a sticker on it and write sentences to them, the truth is that we are very happy to use Canon IVY Clip, it filled all our expectations, we spent a very fun afternoon as a family and creating Memories together.

Was just gifted this for Xmas and the mini printer is amazing! Quality is perfect for the price! The first time I did print something CanonMiniPrint crashed right after. A few hours later I’m trying it again and CanonMiniPrint gets stuck and makes my phone crash once I choose a picture. I hope this issue gets fixed soon so I can get on my way and print tons of pics! The 2 stars is solely for CanonMiniPrint , I give the printer itself 5 stars!

I cannot tell you how awesome this printer app is to use with my Canon Ivy! It prints out my pictures perfectly, quickly and easily. I then use my mini pics in my planner/journal. Easy to use and works great! I also like the fun extras that let you edit your pictures before you print. I LOVE CanonMiniPrint 😊

I can barely connect to the camera. Once I connect to the bluetooth, and then go to CanonMiniPrint , I can’t “find” the printer to connect to. I then have to go and disconnect and reconnect on my bluetooth and then restart CanonMiniPrint for it to work. It’s entirely too much work to print pictures. Please fix because I love the idea and I love the camera itself. CanonMiniPrint is just way too slow.
