New update is clean and nice and has created more of a social growing experience. I like it, but I think some notable upgrades could be gleaned from bud “Grow With Jane”

I think the social functions are far better than Grow With Jane. I like the types of actions And the UI of that app though. I think there is a niche in the digital marijuana grow journal space and both this app. And growth with Jane are the leaders in the category.

If this app. Can create an easy to structure report UX , as opposed to the open ended post system, I think I would consider this as a true grow journal rather than a social media app for marijuana growing

Great app bummer it isn’t updated you. You can’t mark grows as done so you will have a huge long list of plants that will cause bud to run slower and slower. There is no export feature so you can’t send all your photos to your email or cloud drive to save them if you want to delete the grow and make space for more.

It looks pretty, but also pretty slow. I do not think I will continue to use bud because the lack of dev support and updates. bud fees half baked.

I think there’s definitely room for improvement but it does a good job at what it does. Allows notes on each update and multiple pictures. I wish I could label each sub picture so people know what each is. I grow 4 at a time and don’t feel like making 4 different grow series as all 4 share the same nutrients and time schedule. But for what it’s worth, it’s the best I’ve found thus far. I like to browse other people’s grows, it’s fun to see everyone’s grows and you can see who’s new to growing and who’s just starting. I think they should have categories for the types of grows. Hydro types, soil types, indoor, and outdoors. Would make for a great resource... maybe even a chat area. Blah, it is what it is.

I like bud for growing. Helps keep track of feeds and when I switch to flower etc. fun to look back at old pics and see the progress made or if u had a problem in your previous grow you could go back and see what you wrote. The interface could use some work though. Whenever you search for something and click one of the searched options and decide you want to look at a different option it takes you all the way back to the home page. Also replying to people is weird, I never know if anyone gets my replies. These may seem like little things but there’s only so many things you can even do on bud to where I think those could be fixed.

I love bud . Thanks for creating it. Being able to see other’s grow journal is a great way to learn a little and ask questions you may have to the community and to see other’s mistakes before you can make the same one is awesome lol. Main concern for me is no block button. That is a huge problem right now. Other than that I like bud . I do wish it was easier to manage photos for each update instead of having to delete the whole post. And maybe a featured photos section on our profile would be nice so we can show off our best grows.

Thank u for addressing my issues. I’ve been using bud for over two years and it is so close to being perfect, but definitly the best app for keeping track of your grows. It has a social feature but i havent even used that until recently. I would keep track of my grows with pictures and then compare those pics to my next grow to see if I‘m doing things better or not. I wrote a wishlist of ideas to the devs and I‘m sure they will work on perfecting the few things that need it. Mainly i just want a way to close a journal.

Parts of the community are great, but there’s a lot of petty drama/trolling that spills out into everything else. there needs to be an option to report non grow related posts and (especially) harassment.

other than that, it’s a solid app, i’d give 3.5 stars. good basic, easily accessible app that in my opinion is better as a compliment to something more comprehensive like growdiaries dot com. the functionality other than making what is essentially a thread of instagram posts is lacking. that said, it seems promising and i look forward to using this for years to come, assuming the community doesn’t run itself into the ground…

All the new updates are freaking amazing. Only real issue I’m noticing now is I do get the notifications when someone comments and such but have no way of finding which grow they’re commenting on. I like on the previous version, you can go to the alerts tab in bud but unless I’m missing something, I have no way of knowing what grow or day of grow I have comments on. Right now I’d give bud 4.5 start, fix the alert/notifications and it’ll be 5.

This is my 4th year logging on bud and everything about bud has been very user friendly. I log what grow in my garden each summer so I could reference what I did. Benefiting my garden more and more each year. Sharing your log with people who don’t even have bud is very useful as it’s fun to share. The developer of bud is hand on within the community of growers looking for ways to better bud which I appreciate. The online community of bud is also very helpful. You do have the option to keep your logs private.

I enjoy using bud to keep track of my grow and others that are just starting out.i find it very useful but it needs some work. bud is very laggy and slow at times and has connection errors a lot where the only way to fix it is to delete and reinstall bud which is annoying but fixable with updates. I'd like to see in a future update the ability to view a persons grow by tapping their name in the comments (making their name a link to their grows)and also to post more then one photo at a time.

Very clean and intentional design. It is a little laggy, but app development is hard and bud is free so whatever. It is definitely the best of its kind. I personally don’t use it for ‘grows’, just my regular boring plants, but I have showed it to a few friends who grow and they are obsessed. The social aspect of seeing other people’s grows is super nifty. Hats off to the creators and developers. 10 outta 10 would recommend.

I love bud been using it for 5 months now but i can say it also has soooo much potential the recent updates definitely did some improvements. i believe giving us a more of a IG profile theme were we can see follower count and photos counts will be interesting we’ll be able to track our growth as an social grower, still waiting on the finish grow button as well

I had to completely rewrite my review because I have learned to use this thing.

I'll keep this short. This is by far the best app I have used for a visual diary of my grows.

Create updates at significant times in your grow. Example post one when seeds pop. From there weekly updates are entered along with a photo. So let's say it's transplant day and I want to document that. You can do so with bud. Create an update describe the event and snap a photo. That easy.

I have created journals for my currently budding plants and my doner or mother plants.

Once again great visual diary to see progress and help remember important event dates like when you switched to 12/12 or when did I take those cuttings?

Hi, Love bud . Just wish there was support for the rotated view. I use an IPad Pro as my laptop and I just wish I didn’t have to turn it sideways to use bud !

I think users would also like a way to reply to others, and be notified of said replies.

Also update the profile info to add profile pics.

There’s a lot that needs to be added like private messages, replying to comments and video. Love the idea execution could be better tho. Pictures should also be able to be opened full size. bud is a little hard to navigate but I hope the devs work out the kinks and I can change my review to 5 stars cause so far they are the only quality grow diary app.

bud is amazing as I use it multiple times daily. my only wish is that there would be some kind of moderation on bud due to the amount of drama and childish crude nasty behavior that a select few exhibit ! other than that is my number one app!!

I like bud but I wish you could search specific people so me and my friends can easily find each other and follow each other I hope they update or add a feature like this then I definitely would rate a five star but not to Deter anyone this is great app to make a personal journal or share with the community on there

This could easily be a 5 star app....but for the time being I am very pleased. The notifications stopped working almost immediately after I started using bud . I’ve deleted and re-installed, double checked all the settings. If there was a way to text another user directly that would be a plus.

I change my rating back to five stars. Because the developer listened to our feedback and made changes. I really like the ability to share my grows with other people and I can do that again. Thank you

This is really honestly a great idea for new growers trying to find information on growing certain strains. I wish there was more discoverability on bud . But it’s sold for keeping up with your plants over the course of their life.

Great app to see other grows and to show off yours. The uploading of your own post takes along time before you can see your own which is kind of annoying but I guess part of a new app. Haven’t been able to see any of the updates Ive posted.

Need to be able to block users and content you’re not interested in.I was a new user on the platform and the same idiots troll post after post arguing and bickering with one another, should also have a report button, after someone gets reported “X” amount of times they should be reviewed and have restrictions or their IP banned. Troy, bad karma, ea, lettuce, sticky fingers and another idiot who’s name slipped my mind…all need to be banned. bud has so much potential and they absolutely ruined it. Commenting on posts saying stuff is looking great as it’s dying and yellow on week 3 of flower…..yet bashing the other troll Troy Farms saying his stuff looks bad yet it actually looked good. People need to be able to have a functioning app where you can block people you don’t want in your feed. Bunch of basement warriors, fix your app, email me when you add a block button and I’d come back.

I rely and depend on bud to grow medicine that makes my life more comfortable. bud has been completely rebuilt andI can’t wait to explore every aspect of it. The builder actually was kind enough to contact me when bud went down for a short time, and he let me know that a new one was coming with many improvements.
