Bullhorn Podcast App & Player Reviews

I’m not a big user yet…just started listening to podcasts a few months ago but am getting a lot out of a couple. Did trials w/the two big name providers, did not enjoy the interfaces, and didn’t renew. Bullhorn has everything I’m looking for, including my 2 favs, plus the brilliant listen-by-phone feature I’ve seen nowhere else. I tried it a couple times; sound quality was def. lower. But love the concept (duh!) and option, and of course, the FREE price…That’s all w/no more (fewer?) ads than the big 2. Best of all—if there can be better than something good that’s free—is that as far as I can tell, it’s neither Apple, Bezos, Google, Microsoft, nor Zuckerberg, meaning I get to feel better about the world and my place in it while listening. SOLD ;-).

Edit: I deleted BullhornPodcastAppPlayer and reinstalled so it is now working. Not sure what may have caused it. But here a note to anyone having this issue. Create an account before you delete your app so you don’t lose all your saved pods. Thanks

Since the version update last week, BullhornPodcastAppPlayer will open but nothing comes up it’s completely blank. I’ve been checking all week for an update to the update, but nothing yet. BullhornPodcastAppPlayer has always worked flawlessly and never had a bug, so I’m positive it was the last update that killed it. Please release a fix.

As a first time podcast listener, BullhornPodcastAppPlayer could not have been more intuitive! It gave me great recommendations based off my areas of interest. It has a clean and sleek look, while still being fun and interesting.

On top of that, the call to listen feature is a lifesaver. I dread getting the text that I am reaching my data limit, so to have the option of using minutes instead of data to listen is incredible.

In my opinion this beats out all other podcast apps and I will continue to recommend it to all my friends!

Just found this- super excited to not get “you’re reaching your data limit” messages two weeks before phone billing period is up. I’ve been listening to podcasts every day for years, recently switched from unlimited data to what I thought would be plenty- turns out it’s not even close with all the podcasts that get downloaded to my phone automatically on the standard podcast app on iPhones. Hooray for Bullhorn! This is gonna save my life

They skip over all the BULL Crap and give you a great podcast player. Just give it a try and see for yourself. Favorite feature at the moment is “smart play” it speeds up the podcast automatically in times of slowness.

Just one feature they have that is cutting edge. Go check out the other stuff. Looks like they are adding “listen with friends” soon, should be exciting.

Straight up, the option to call in and use your minutes instead of your internet data has made this my only podcast app. I have 10GB of data per month so I’m not really worried if I have to use it, but it can add up if I listen to 2 or more shows. The audio quality is great through the call in option. Just a great app for podcast listeners, especially in LA traffic!

Clever: the data-free call-to-listen option is ingenious. I don’t use but I see how it can be helpful to many listeners

Good: Simple to use and kinda reminds me of Instagram in a way. Love that it’s free and doesn’t have a premium version or tries to throw ads in my face every 30 seconds.

Needs: More recommendations and maybe a feature so I can see what my friends are listening to, not sure if that’s possible though. Also make it available on CarPlay

I listen to so many more podcasts now thanks to Bullhorn!! With my other podcast app I would have to plan ahead to have a new podcast downloaded - and that’s IF my older phone would have enough memory - so that I wouldn’t burn through my data allowance. Those days are over with your call in feature! Sometimes I don’t even want my drive to end because I’m so enthralled with whatever I’m listening to 🤓🤓🤓THANK YOU!! 🙏❣️🎉

Thanks to this application, I always stay up to date with the latest news, but the most convenient when you drive a car over long distances, you can use the call function, thereby saving your Internet traffic. I recommend everyone to use this application. 💰💰💰

I like make 🍳 and listening to podcasts through bullhorn. Respect!

I love Bullhorn!

Such a great, inventive way to listen to a podcast. Especially good on my past road trips to Moab & Joshua Tree where WiFi/data connection is patchy and unreliable, all I did was dial in and get perfect connection to my fave podcasts. Very esthetically pleasing as well.

One tip, if you start to create swag, which I would buy, don’t use the bright orange. Maybe a pastel coral or even a burnt orange depending on the item.

Overall great app, elegant, clean and super easy to use.
With all that being said, the auto download doesn’t appear to be working and sometimes the podcast doesn’t show any album cover. Maybe add the option to add a cover manually?
Also, some of the episodes I’ve downloaded already show the download button even though they’ve been downloaded already.

This platform offers a unique advantage over other listening locations with its “Call in” feature. As the Producer of the PermaGlitched Gaming podcast we have listeners who have limited data, by “calling in” to listen to the podcast they consume air time rather then data. Great job Bull horn, keep it up.

Bullhorn has a goal to innovate podcasting and make it interactive between peers, colleagues, friends, and family. I’m looking forward to the growth of BullhornPodcastAppPlayer.

I like the format and the functionality of BullhornPodcastAppPlayer , I also like getting away from the stock podcast app on my iPhone. However I looked for a few podcasts that I can’t get here so I have to go back to Apple. I looked for David Webb’s podcast and Sebastian Gorka’s America first.

I’ll still use it for the podcast that it does have but I’m disappointed I can’t use it for all of them.

I must be missing something. Cannot find a way to edit playlist or podcast in the queue. Multiple podcast will play fine until inside 2 min to go then jump back to beginning. Interface is nice. Particularly the new podcast displayed on hone screen.

Is there any way to delete played podcast that keeps playing over and over?

Download doesn’t feature any indication that a download has finished or is in progress. Files supposedly downloaded require WiFi or data to play. Ingenious call to play feature seems to work about 20% of the time. So close to being a decent podcast player, fully functional it would be a great app to rival the bigger apps.

I have tried every podcast app I can find. I generally listen over 3 hours a day, and like to subscribe to many shows, for variety purposes. So far, Bullhorn has proven to be strongest for my needs. Absolutely love it!

Bullhorn has some features that are pretty awesome. Their called a listen feature is pretty unique. The podcasts stream nice and clear. There’s lots and lots of options of what to listen to.

Love BullhornPodcastAppPlayer! Clean layout, great recommendations for new podcasts and the sleep timer and speed up features are amazing. Also love that I can use it when my data runs out.

Ditch the normy podcast app and get on Bullhorn Bandwagon

Why doesn’t it save where I am in the podcast even under player mode? It’s annoying to have to find my place almost every time I start again. Five stars otherwise!
Also would be great if it deleted played podcasts from downloads.
