VyStar Card Control Reviews

VyStarCardControl stopped working after VyStar updated their system months ago. I filed a report and even though the staff has been working on it for months it’s still not working. I get a “more than one user” error message when I try to open it. No one seems to be able to fix it. I’ve deleted and downloaded VyStarCardControl and the mobile banking app multiple times and ensured my phone had the lasted iOS update. Still doesn’t work. I still have it on my phone in hopes it’ll eventually be fixed but I’ve pretty much lost hope at this point.

This is got to be the worst app on my phone. For an app that is so important to the ins and outs of my daily routines, Vystar has been so incredibly and progressively useless. I am hundreds of miles away from home, and none of my accounts are loading. Not on VyStarCardControl and not on the website. My funds are inaccessible..on a holiday for God’s sake. This is the last straw. I have been with Vystar since 1997. I am withdrawing all of my funds and moving them to another financial institution. Vystar as a whole is going downhill and I’ve never seen a company so unable to find quality software technicians. This company is the purest representation of INCOMPETENCE.

VyStarCardControl has been down for two weeks now. If you call support all they tell you to do is uninstall and then redownload. I tried that more than twice and still nothing. Only way to access your funds is to call support and ask them to turn it on for you. If you’re like me, you like to lock your card when you’re not using it to cut down on anyone trying to compromise your card. Nobody wants to sit on hold for an hour or more just to ask someone to turn on their card when I should have access to my funds at any given time. This is such a major inconvenience, such as when they had all those issues with the regular banking app. Sad to say but vystar might be losing my business after this latest inconvenience.

I don’t understand why the need to fix something that isn’t broken still gets done. I can not use VyStarCardControl now. I am constantly having to delete VyStarCardControl and then download it again, just to get access to my bank account. It makes no sense. The new update is garbage. I have to literally use the website just to check anything.

I would say VyStarCardControl is unnecessary! Every other app that has these features are within the main bank app. The main frustration is that we download VyStarCardControl and it doesn’t work at all. It crashes every time you want to use it. It’s scary to think that if something happens you are unable to lock your card because VyStarCardControl doesn’t work. This is a safety issue. We won’t have the time to call and freeze the card before everything is gone. I really don’t like this at all. IT TEAM, please, please listen

This would be a great app if Vystar hire some IT developers who knows how to fix the main issue! 1) after downloading, VyStarCardControl works fine for you to add your card and info, after that it will not open again, it will only allow you to see the message prompt but when attempting to view via VyStarCardControl , the error secure connection fail will appear, 2) why show the number of messages via the widget but not allow the user to open? This is very frustrating, especially when I need it the most because someone has stolen my card info, had to call and hold for over 40 mins to block card bc app wouldn’t allow me to do so, during that time to got 7 transactions thru! Get it together vystar, you could loose customers who’s been with you all for many years!!

VyStarCardControl used to work great but now it seems like 9 times out of 10 it doesn’t even open. It is always under maintenance. This is getting old VyStar you are a bank and you can most definitely afford to fix this issue. Please do better! Other than VyStarCardControl giving me issues I will say VyStar is an outstanding bank!

You would think that after waiting for close to 2 months of fixing their problem with upgrading their App, you would not face a problem as a Customer, well I was wrong, I transferred money internally, and it’s not showing, I paid my credit card balance at least 90% of it and still not showing.
Vystar went down the drain right after they change their CEO.

After FINALLY getting the mobile banking app working after SEVERAL WEEKS, I downloaded the Card Control app which I used often before the current debacle. After downloading VyStarCardControl I tried to login. It told me I had to log in to the Mobile Banking app which I was already logged in to. So when I selected “Log Into Mobile Banking” and attempted to login, it tells me my user name and password are incorrect. PITIFUL!!!

When setting up it says you need to go to card control from the main menu of VyStarCardControl . There is no main menu. There is no card control option.
Just like VyStar, VyStarCardControl reflects upon their archaic systems. I'm surprised they aren't using an abacus to calculate your money.
If they would possibly have a few beta testers maybe the 5 grade class that developed VyStarCardControl could get it right.

Both my wife and I use VyStarCardControl for the features alone but when you need it the most it won’t work. Very frustrating. It hangs up at establishing a secure connection and refuses to go any farther. It does this on her Galaxy s10 and my iPhone 10Xs Max. I will update the review and ratings when this is fixed but it’s a shame that a big bank like this has always had the worst Mobil banking apps.

VyStarCardControl is horrible. For the past couple of days it has not worked! VyStarCardControl keeps saying “your financial institution server could not be reached. Please check your connection and try again”. For a banking app that is ridiculous especially for a financial institution whose customer service closes at 7pm. My card was locked, and there was no way for me to unlock it or talk to the fraud department!

let me warn you about this company. They apparently use offshore fraud detection company so when they detect fraud you get a call from someone who can barely speak good English, which automatically made me think this was a scam so I had to call VyStar directly to find out what was going on. I just don’t know why they can’t use companies in this country that speak English. Apparently not interested in American business.

Since the last update, absolutely unusable. It’s been over a month since it worked properly at all. I’ve deleted both card control as well as VyStar trying to basically start over..nothing. It is useless. And for someone who’s has their account hacked many times, this is a necessary feature. So much so we’ve been shopping other credit unions. VyStar has tons of issues as a bank, and their apps are worthless

VyStarCardControl doesn’t work after you update it. It will still ping a notification when a card is used, and put the number of notifications widget up, but when you actually try to open it it just stays on trying to open a secure connection. I have tried deleting and reinstalling, I’ve tried a full phone reboot, and deleting and reinstalling the vystar mobile banking app since you have to go through that to open this. Nothing works! The update broke VyStarCardControl

I’m getting alerts that say Card Control, but VyStarCardControl won’t let me get in. Keeps saying.. trying to establish secure connection. Never lets me in. I tried uninstalling and re installing VyStarCardControl to no avail. I checked my IPhone to see if I had the latest update, and I do.. so I don’t know.
Honestly, this service would get much higher marks if it worked again. I had found out immediately when my card was compromised, and I was able to cancel the card faster because of VyStarCardControl. I hope they get it working again.

VyStarCardControl has been been giving me problems from day one it constantly say connection with network turn off my WiFi it’s the same issue. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled so many times still having the same problem. This is important to use who has Vystar to be able to lock and unlock card please fix

It’s been two years now you can’t still fix add an external account to the bank it literally won’t even open when you tap manage external account please fix that or I’ll have to switch to a better bank that can allow me add my children account to mine for better ach transfer

App is basic. It’s time Vystar integrate Debit Card capabilities in with the main mobile banking app as most other financial institutions have done long before the year of 2023. I don’t understand why anyone at your institution feels there is a need to have debit card control separate. Please take this feedback and implement it fast - like before the end of the year fast.

I want to purchase movie tickets, but I can’t why? Because of the restrictions that I have set through VyStarCardControl.

Right now I cannot update nor make any changes through the Card Control settings because VyStarCardControl is unavailable.

This is highly highly upsetting because of the recent and ongoing online and app issues they have had for the past several months. I am so close to literally walking away from VyStar credit union. I don’t want to, but I shouldn’t run into so many road blocks within so many months. Something needs to change here. This is unacceptable. Maintenance or not, VyStarCardControl should not be experiencing issues in the middle of the day on a Thursday.

I don’t have time to call or chat with someone online to make a conscious quick decisions of life.

VyStarCardControl needs to be fixed, when trying to open VyStarCardControl it keeps given me a error message regarding no connection, it’s embarrassing when you have to pay for something and VyStarCardControl is not wanting to open up so I can unlock my card, I’ve been a member for 10+ years and VyStar has gone downhill and I will most likely be getting another bank do to the ongoing issues the apps and VyStar has been going through the past couple of years. This is crazy. Please fix it.

It does what it’s intended to do… when it works.
I keep cards locked until I need to use them then I unlock one long enough to use it then lock it again. In the last four months, it’s been a coin toss on if VyStarCardControl will work or not when I need it. When it doesn’t work, which is about 60% of the time I need it to, it gives me some server error message.

I had VyStarCardControl and it was working fine until 3 days ago. I don’t have access to turn on or off my card or check my notifications because VyStarCardControl stays establishing secure connection for ever and never opens. I deleted VyStarCardControl and going to install again. We will see if it fix the problem.

VyStarCardControl leaves me stranded far to often. I keep my card off when I don’t need to use it. But way to often it won’t connect to my bank to let me turn it on and off even when my signal is good and the regular banking app is working fine.

Constantly having to uninstall and reinstall. It says unable to process or wrong user and password for the card control app but works fine through the banking app. If it is a separate app it should work independently instead of having to go through the banking app

VyStarCardControl is great… when it works. It could be working for the longest time and then one day, it just doesn’t give alerts anymore. I’ve gone through my mobile banking, my phone settings, everything to figure it out and nothing works. Sad because I really liked being able to see my charges.

VyStarCardControl had been doing what it was supposed to, probably worthy of 3.5 stars, because it HAS to go through the mobile banking app to operate, instead of optionally working as a standalone app.

However, as of the last update, The thing keeps going on a loop trying to establish a secure connection, or so it says. I know it is VyStarCardControl because I’ve tried multiple networks, and even removing and reinstalling to no avail.

I currently use VyStarCardControl on my iPhone 12 Pro max and is good most of the time but when I’m out of town in dollar stores it doesn’t work AT ALL. I’m not sure windy the issue is but I hate it. Also I have to have at least 3 bars in order for it to work properly.

I download this because my chase debt card got hacked and I can not lock the debt. Only my credit card. So this gives me an ease of mind.

I lose my card a lot so VyStarCardControl offers the ability to turn off my card and turn it back on when I find it. Super convenient. Sometimes it’ll act weird but for the most part I’ve had no problems.

This is very bothersome, and concerning, since the original App didn’t really perform all that well.

VyStarCardControl tells me my password is expired but when i log in thru the website login it works. Any changes going on?

When it works, it’s easy and perfect to use.

VyStarCardControl is perfect. You can customize push notifications to notify you of things that matter to you most. Mobil check deposits are quick and easy. Transferring funds internally is fast and simple. Managing all VyStar accounts like auto loan and credit card, from VyStarCardControl is easy. Card control makes to easy to turn debit cards on and off. It’s a one stop app to take care of all of your banking needs. I’m super happy with VyStarCardControl and how it performs.

VyStarCardControl saved me from potential major damage. My card number was stolen, most likely from a skimmer. Got a notification of an illegal charge in another state. Luckily the charge was small. I was able to immediately deactivate the card. Three more charge attempts were made on the card. All were denied! Haha, KMA scammers!

I’ve noticed now the notifications of transactions are instantaneous in most cases. Before it took about a minute or two. One feature I would like to see is the ability to add my unsecured Visa card.
