I'm a person who gets overwhelmed very easily, but my shabby mental (and physical) health requires constant mindfulness on my behalf. A lot of self-care apps I feel offer too many uh,,, 'helpful' features.
As soon as I saw the icon for AloeBud, I knew I wanted it (as cliche as that sounds). Retro/8bit themed apps, I've found, are usually more simplistic, and this one was pretty much everything I'd hoped it would be. It's very cute and calming so I don't feel stressed with all the things I need to do when I open it, and it's super easy to navigate. Like, too easy. I like that you have the option to either just check in on a task or to fill out an actual short journal entry for it.
Just one thing— I'm using this to also keep up with my medication. Since I'm very forgetful, I chose to fill out a prompt each day with how my meds effect me because it would be helpful for whenever I go to see my doctor. However, I'd love it if I could find all my journal entries for one task in one place? It's a little difficult to track how my meds have been effecting me when I have to scroll through the activities I've done every single day to get to each entry. Maybe create an option to view all your journal entries underneath the title of each task when you open it? That would really tie it all together and make it five stars for me.
