I’ve tried connecting to my account multiple times. Received the text to confirm, I even get an email from PNC saying it’s linked but Hypur doesn’t seem to see it. Was super excited to use this instead of pulling cash every time I go to the dispensary. Guess it’s back to the ATM until the ap is fixed.

Update: I was just at my dispensary and they said many people are having the same issue. What gives?

Downloaded POSaBITPay because I was offered a $30 credit on another site if I paid using Hypur. Spent 30 minutes getting my account set up multiple times before it finally saved my payment information, and then nothing happened. No credit on the other site and no word from Hypur. This whole thing seems like a scam to steal credit card info. Don’t trust it.

So basic you wonder why and how it even exists. Bottom tier 3rd party app with no backing. Only can use bank accounts? I use my cards for a reason. Not only that but you don’t know when the money will be taken out... in 2 days? Maybe 3 weeks from now? If I want to use a payment app I’ll go ahead and use the ones that are verified and safe guarded by the big guys.

Just a terrible app from start to finish. When I clicked the button to add bank account during account setup, nothing happened. So I restarted POSaBITPay : now the password I just selected doesn’t work. And when I request to reset it; an email never comes. POSaBITPay would’ve been kind of neat in like 1998, but isn’t anywhere close to normal modern standards. Go back to the drawing board.

My wife and I are both unable to register with Hypur. Neither of us can get past the name/email/address/SSN/age page in POSaBITPay . POSaBITPay suggests calling a Hypur help number, which I have done twice, but all they will say is, yeah that happens sometimes… try again or try different information. This is extremely frustrating. We’ve had the same address for 35 years, and there is no other information we can try. There is no alternative conduit for verification.

Updated to say definitely a scam. My name has a hyphen my bank doesn’t recognize so for this they want me to send a copy of my ID and social security number - they must be crazy if they think anyone will bite at that.

According to POSaBITPay , I have no account linked despite my bank, confirming multiple times that the account had been linked. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m missing some money tomorrow; seems like a scam.

Unfortunately I get to the account linked success screen— then automatically the error “unable to link account” pops up. On the computer my bank provider doesn’t even show up. When talking with customer service they explain I would need to upload an account statement to prove it’s mine, and even then- there is a cap on the amount you can withdrawal through manual verification. A total waste of time. Told to try again in an hour? I’ve been trying for a month. No thanks.

There were enough technical anomalies during the sign up and on boarding process that led me to believe that this has some form of a back door to be hacked by another institution or is collecting banking information to be resold somewhere else. The technology and the Payment / authentication APIs all failed multiple times during sign-up process so POSaBITPay doesn’t even work. Furthermore the user experience was horrible. I had to cancel my order and forgo my supplies because POSaBITPay was not able to function as advertised to deliver its sole purpose which is to make a payment

The customer service rep John was so rude to me after I called to make a payment because they delayed taking a payment out of my account when there wasn’t money in there anymore. He tried saying that I was trying to get product for free. He lied about multiple things in a five minute conversation then defended himself. Seriously don’t waste your time. I had multiple fees from my bank, $190 transaction is now costing me $300. Worst company ever. I tried asking for John’s manager and he refused to do so.

I have no clue how a company like this is still in business. Dishonest, rude, lies, terrible customer service, when you call the corporate office no one answers or calls you back.

I can’t even make an account! I have tried at least five times on different devices, but I keep on getting the “Something went wrong, please try again” message.

I reached out to customer service after the first failed attempt and was instructed to try Safari incognito mode after clearing the cache. I did that and it still didn’t work! I reached out again and was literally told, “If the website isn’t working for you, it won’t work for me. I’ll let our IT team know.”

Meanwhile, I’m awaiting a medical marijuana delivery and this is the only app they use to accept payment. 🙃 Please do better, this is absolutely ridiculous!!!

I tried to sign up for Hypur this morning to pay for an order I placed on GrassDoor. I’m so nervous now because they asked all my personal information (including last 4 of my SSN)?!? When I tried to connect my bank (Wells Fargo) it said it was unable to make the connection, twice. I stopped messing with it at that point. Shortly after, I started to get several spam/phishing e-mails claiming to be Wells Fargo, but they are all being sent to the e-mail address I gave to Hypur, not the e-mail address I use with my actual Wells Fargo account. In addition, my spam call screener has intercepted way more calls from scam phone numbers than it usually does. Im 100% sure the events are all connected. Use at your own discretion. But I’m fairly confident they’re not legit.

POSaBITPay does not work. Can’t link bank info even though I have linked banking info....... The best part is that EVERY 1 star review has the exact same issue as me and this is their copy pasta response:

Hahahahah! We understand technology can be frustrating sometimes........ nice blanket statement removing yourself as the company that created POSaBITPay from the equation. “Oh.... it’s not our horribly developed app that is the issue here, it’s the fact that you as a consumer are having one of those moments where technology is frustrating”

Every 1 star review has given you the opportunity to diagnose what is causing the issue. Everyone that has issues with your app has the exact same issue.....

Overall I would argue to never trust a financial tech app company that can’t properly fix a single instance static error with their programming after months and months of potential customers having the exact same issue. Don’t waste your time even if it’s supposedly saving you 30 dollars. Can’t save 30 dollars if it does not work. (Have tried to use POSaBITPay for 4 or 5 months and they still have not fixed it. A company I shop with does really great deals if you use this broken app)

First I thought the site was really cool because I could purchase from here and be fine, every time I log on it told me I need to put a financial institution I put a financial financial institution in the financial institution never pops up but there’s always a green sign of the top that says this financial institution has already been added to this account but there’s no listing of it then when I go to stores it takes me back to the settings I don’t feel like this is a good site I feel that this is the site that collects peoples bank information and next thing I know I possibly Maybe hit. You can’t keep telling me to put in my financial institution every time I go to log on then when I look at the financial institution that I’m with there’s nothing up there do a little better you guys try to take your app down for a minute and work on a lot of things because people putting in their bank information and all of a sudden their Bank doesn’t even show up but there’s a green line at the top that says this financial institution has already been added to this account but it doesn’t show the bank somethings fishy. Please do not write back telling me to call you guys on how to fix it and do what this and fix it no just fix it so it actually works for people that are trying to use it instead of taking their financial institution information and nothing happened

POSaBITPay is a great concept and I tried very hard to love it. Regardless of my device or data connection POSaBITPay is so slow it doesn’t even make any sense to use it rather than a conventional method. The merchant end is just as slow, so it times out a lot. After trying to use Hypur and visually seeing that the merchant end timed out I was still charged multiple times after the declined transactions and a boatload of bank fees. Hypur is a great concept, I doubt it’ll be around another year with this quality of service.

I’d love to use POSaBITPay, the layout looks great and process seems useful. I tried multiple times to link my account with no success. FAQ on the site suggests that I call my bank to remove a layer of security that is stopping me from linking the account... Bad practice to request that, Hopefully there is a solution coming that doesn’t require removing safety measures. I know technology is complex, hopefully I can use the service in the future!

I created my account on a computer and got things set up that way so I didn’t have any issues with set up. I feel like it’s pretty easy to use app wise but it’s only getting the 3 stars from me because of how long it takes for transactions to clear. It is literally like writing a check, use it for a purchase and it doesn’t hit my actual bank account until a week later. Honestly it’s worse than a check because I’ve done this before splitting bills with a roomie and those clear in about two to three days. So if you do use this, make sure to keep that in mind so you don’t go negative.

I have used POSaBITPay previously to go cashless for my purchases and it worked lovely. I downloaded it again, but it fails to verify my Wells Fargo account despite many different attempts so that’s the reasoning for the 3 star rating.

POSaBITPay makes it so easy to pay for my goods. I don’t carry a lot of cash, so I end up paying atm fees to draw cash almost every time I stop by the store.

Hypur makes it as easy as Venmo to checkout, and it automatically pulls up the store based on your location. Thanks hypur team.

Finally a simple to use payments app for ACH - i use it now for all my transactions with my local store.
