I gave CommunityLink two stars because the user can accomplish whatever task they hope to with CommunityLink with MAJOR levels of frustration. You can easily check the calendar, very basic account info, and receive email notifications inside CommunityLink . However, CommunityLink is very difficult to use when dealing with any sort of payments or examining account info. One must search for the “pay now” button to actually pay their dues, examine past payments, or schedule future payments (basically do anything you actually need to do on CommunityLink ). However selecting the “pay now” link then takes the user on a frustrating ride to a website that then enables you to do anything financial with your HOA accounts (making the actual app kind of worthless; why not go directly to the website???). From the payment website, run by CITI, a user can then make their payments or schedule future payments. Although, if you have to schedule payments for your main HOA and and sub-HOA you will need to “add” two properties which will confuse your brain for a good 30 minutes as you figure out how to actually add the two properties. Be careful it is very easy to setup two or more payments for the same HOA. Overall, CommunityLink gets the job done, and probably is helpful for the business end of the HOAs, but not for the user. I equate it to someone doing mechanical work on their car for the first time. It is something that becomes easier every time you do it. But doing the task the first time takes five times as long as you learn the placement and intricacies of the machine.
