Old school trying to be cool

Idk if our management company doesn’t pay for all the features or if the Boomer paying for the service doesn’t know how to use it.

Between CommunityLink and the actual portal functions this is a waste of time. I’m required to log into the portal to get specific board function information because I can’t figure out how to get it on CommunityLink . I have to email our management company with ARC requests that he then uploads to the system which defeats the purpose of using technology. Might as well use fax machines…makes about as much sense.

Complete waste and not needed

This is literally the dumbest waste of development time and phone space. As a Mac user you need to pay via paylease and instead of just linking there, I was told to download CommunityLink which literally opened up the same webpage I used to pay on except now you’re stuck on mobile. Highly suggest just bookmarking the Paylease site and deleting this crap

APP

Really don’t understand why any HOA uses this company. There has to be some monetary gain/incentive. When I googled Community Link nothing came up. Bad news! And it won’t let you change your Password. Will be calling the Department of Corporations in Calif tomorrow morning to file a complaint. Something is seriously wrong. Obviously a very unethical company. Ethical HOA’s should beware!

Not functional

CommunityLink doesn't work when submitting requests. Server error. It also deletes your draft if you switch apps before submitting... but after you get it, the server error does you in.

Authentication Issues

App only supports Touch ID; if you enable it and have an iPhone X (no Touch ID) app immediately crashes when opened.

Password reset?

No way to reset your password

Authentication issue

If you enable Touch ID for iPhone X, CommunityLink crashes if you try to load it. Please fix

Password reset not available

I attempted to login from CommunityLink on my iPhone on 8/26/2022.

I tried multiple possible passwords. None worked.

There was no ‘reset password’ available.

I have deleted CommunityLink .

Kind of Pointless and Very Confusing for First-Time Users

I gave CommunityLink two stars because the user can accomplish whatever task they hope to with CommunityLink with MAJOR levels of frustration. You can easily check the calendar, very basic account info, and receive email notifications inside CommunityLink . However, CommunityLink is very difficult to use when dealing with any sort of payments or examining account info. One must search for the “pay now” button to actually pay their dues, examine past payments, or schedule future payments (basically do anything you actually need to do on CommunityLink ). However selecting the “pay now” link then takes the user on a frustrating ride to a website that then enables you to do anything financial with your HOA accounts (making the actual app kind of worthless; why not go directly to the website???). From the payment website, run by CITI, a user can then make their payments or schedule future payments. Although, if you have to schedule payments for your main HOA and and sub-HOA you will need to “add” two properties which will confuse your brain for a good 30 minutes as you figure out how to actually add the two properties. Be careful it is very easy to setup two or more payments for the same HOA. Overall, CommunityLink gets the job done, and probably is helpful for the business end of the HOAs, but not for the user. I equate it to someone doing mechanical work on their car for the first time. It is something that becomes easier every time you do it. But doing the task the first time takes five times as long as you learn the placement and intricacies of the machine.

Efficiency and effortless app

CommunityLink is great for those who want a fast and reliable way to navigate. I have used CommunityLink and even when there is a problem, they are very quick to help correct the issue.

Convenient!

This is helpful when I need to access my HOA account information. It has everything I need available with little effort.

Board Member Simplicity

I find CommunityLink to be a great tool for keeping current with my board responsibilities. I really like the ability to review and approve invoices!
