Messenger Duo for WhatsApp Reviews

It’s incredible that an app doing what it says gets 5 stars, but there are som many other WhatsApp apps that don’t work or require a subscription that I want to strongly endorse this one!

It has a lot of adds unless you pay for the no-adds version (which I will probably do), but TINSTAAFL. You want something that works, the developers need to get paid somehow.

If you are willing to offer a free version with ads, it’s fine. But having pop up ads every 5 seconds to force one to pay for the premium service is completely pointless. I will happily pay for an ad free version if I didn’t feel you are forcing me through my experience with MessengerDuo . I will buy another app right now instead of yours.

Thank you .. I suggest adding a feature that helps send a message as broadcast to a large number of friends at the same time + and a feature that helps divide my number into groups, for example, work friends, parents, school friends .. because I want to send different messages to each group as broadcast

I just got an iPad and regular WhatsApp doesn’t work so I downloaded MessengerDuo. It is filled with huge ads that try to cover the messages and it crashed the second time I opened it up…you also can’t automatically forward messages here from your sharing center like you can with regular WhatsApp or iMessage. Anyways I’ll use it because it’s the best option.

I liked MessengerDuo well enough to pay to have the ads removed and gain more features. Don’t do it! I no longer have ads at the bottom of the screen, BUT NOW I have a giant full screen ad that comes up when I launch MessengerDuo . I wish I could show you. And it’s even turned the wrong way. I then have to hit a button that says go on to MessengerDuo . This is so deceptive it makes me want to delete MessengerDuo .

This. App has- so far in my past as when needed an app such as the WhatsApp completely satisfied my expatriation fully as normal thank u for allowing me to contribute my experience with u - have a wonderful day

I purchased the add free version. It keeps not remembering that, and restore does not always work and then it loses it again. On top of that it is very buggy, distorts the screen, keeps reloading and crashes a lot. How can MessengerDuo have a 4.5 rating in MessengerDuo store? I use it in two different devices and on both of them it is buggy. Fix MessengerDuo! Or give me my money back.

Basically a piece of junk, but it does let you chat via WhatsApp on (say) an iPad. Crashes when you load the camera, photo library comes up in negative (!) (I’m mean, really? I have never see any app mess THAT up before) although you can attach pre-existing photos to a chat. The ads are annoying and it takes forever to load. At this point it’s a toss up between deleting and only using when absolutely necessary

There are ads but otherwise its great! It’s more updated, so we can do a lot more stuff. The last bad thing about it is that it cant load pics, but otherwise everything’s great! Buy MessengerDuo, and all your dreams will even come true on iPads!

Service is usually reliable but changing phone it’s been difficult to start app again

I use MessengerDuo on my ipad. works fairly well so far but it does have annoying advertisements that are confusing and get in the way of MessengerDuo . But MessengerDuo is free.

This is a great concept that supplements the basic WhatsApp by addressing its shortcomings, like being able send a message to a person not in your contact list. That’s the good part. The bad part is is that there is an ANNOYINGLY high number of ads. Every single step delivers an ad that interrupts what you’re doing, and then it crashes. So for that reason, I’ve decided to delete it after week.

I would enjoy MessengerDuo more if there were less pop ups. I paid to remove them and kind of disappointed that it had to be a monthly subscription instead of it being a permanent thing.

MessengerDuo sounds like a good deal, right?
However, there are incredibly intrusive ads, almost every 5 seconds it seems, full page adds that pop up every time you touch a button.
Go to the settings to buy the Ad removal, and the price is higher than what’s listed in MessengerDuo Store, and it’s a MONTHLY cost.
Total bait and switch.
I deleted it because it’s just not worth it.

As soon as I opened MessengerDuo for the first time I was bombarded by three different adds that take up the entire page. At least the other apps on the Store have the small banner ads only. But the biggest issue is that MessengerDuo is completely unsuable in the iPad’s Slide Over mode for apps. You are not able to see the full application there and are not able to respond.

I tried downloading MessengerDuo the second I launched it there were adds everywhere taking me to random screens on safari and the only way it lets you message people is bye dual messaging and since I don’t have a computer I just tried to read other ways but then I got blasted with adds again u can’t do anything without a full screen long add pops up every second

I purchased the ad removal and still I see the Google ads invading my space! Also would be good to be able to save the chat. Where is that function?
When these two will be updated I may change my rate.

Whenever I try to send an image from my iPad, MessengerDuo crashes ( when using the camera function) or the colors get inverted for no apparent reason (when using to send as a regular picture function). I suggest fixing these bugs of a much needed and common feature.

For an app just basically provides a browser shell to whatsapp web, it is really annoying to see that everyone try to charge monthly subscription to it. I know that you need to get some monetary income for your effort but come on, monthly fee forever??? It will probably better if you charge one time like 9.99 and I think I will be considering.

There are ads that take up half of the screen so you can’t see what you are doing and there is no way to get rid of them. The ads are by google.

It’s good enough for what it’s supposed to do (IT HAS ADS), but I still can’t find how to enable the purported ‘dark mode’.

MessengerDuo has ad’s .(are u kidding me rn😑) I downloaded MessengerDuo on my Apple Watch but it told me to get it on my iPhone so it can work. As soon as I download MessengerDuo on my iPhone it was ad’s.come on now.

Does not even work wasted 10 minutes all I got was that stupid spinner thing deleted app trash

Useless because ad covers transcription and there is no way to scroll down or close the ad.

Got tons of junk emails right after installing it

If only it will load my messages on my iwatch. Then I’ll give a 5 star.

This little app works beautifully. It transcribes WhatsApp audio files from my dialect of Spanish. Impressive!
