Bought a Pit Boss Pro 1200. After about 6 months of use it no longer maintains temperature. Spoke with Customer Service maybe 4 times, they promised to send out parts. Been months, nothing. Can't get customer to respond. Pellet grill/smoker that does not maintain temperature is useless. Their customer service said it was due to cold outside temps....I live in Florida. Never buy a Pit Boss

I have a Pit Boss Elite 6-Series Vertical Smoker. I purchased it in May. It worked great for some time, then the temp. started started changing on its own. a first I could just reset the temp and it would go back. it slowly got worse, after an hour the temp would start climbing. when I would reset the temp it would just keep climbing. It just kept getting worse. Now I am afraid to use it, it is uncontrollable and am tired of waisting meat. The last adventure with that smoker was an 18 lb. Brisket got crispy fried the entire inside of the smoker was in flames. I have an older 4 series vertical smoker works like a champ. I clean them out before every use. New 850 smoker/grill. Will not reach temp for burn off. Vent opened all the way, good dry pellets, ignites well and very little ash in pan. Reached about 240 and will not go higher. Good weather. Have not tried on P settings.

Constant problems with the casters breaking. I'm replacing the second one and the first one i replaced is ready to break again. I only move the grill a few feet.

Purchased a pit boss navigator 850 a month ago here in New Zealand. Wanted to add the smoke stack/chimney to it asap, only to find out that both NZ & Australia dealers don’t have these spare parts. No pit boss web site shows these parts for purchase / replacements which i find somewhat strange. Email after email to customer support for assistance in purchasing the required product, but no response whatsoever at my wits end with the lack of help. Might as well scrap the thing and get a Traegra smoker

We bought 2 of you Pit Boss products 3 years ago this Christmas. We have had nothing but problems with them since. Your support team has sent so many replace parts and it’s gotten old. We bought a large smoker and a smaller regular pit. Right now neither one is working. I went to put a brisket on this morning and the pit temp went over 500 degrees and uncontrollable. My smoker hasn’t worked in months. I am very, very disappointed in your product and will never recommend it to anyone. This will probably fall on deaf ears, but it’s ok

terrible app

you would think after spending $750 on a new grill the lockhart to be exact that the app would work the way it is supposed to. Sadly no it does not. after firmware updates using it the first time it just simply no longer connects to my phone. all other BT devices do connect. once in the app it just gives me instructions on how to connect even though it is already connected. app seems dated and poorly managed even before the lockhart this app was terrible. please fix all major issues

Useless

This app just like the smoke it app are useless. If you are truly going to rely on the wifi capabilities and the apps while you use your grill then spend the extra money and get a Traeger. Currently this app just blinks the words Bigger Hotter Heavier over and over. The app doesn’t even open. I’ve uninstalled and then tried it again but still nothing. I should have done more research and paid for it by not being able to use certain functions on the grill.
