I’ve selected the last 6 or so deliveries to be completed using the Key delivery method where the driver should be dropping the package off inside my garage which happens to be in the back of my home. Inevitably, I see the drivers just drive to the front of my house and walk to my front porch and just report that Key wasn’t working properly. There have been times where I’ve purposefully left the garage door open and they don’t even pretend to check.

Upon researching how to file a complaint on the website, the instructions just direct you to reach out to customer support via the Key app, which conveniently is a blank screen right now.

As someone else put it, it’s a great idea but it’s only as good as the delivery drivers who honor it.

This is a great concept. But the concept only works if drivers are willing to take an extra 30 seconds to actually use the feature. Out of 10 “Key” deliveries, maybe 1 will actually be delivered via Key. Drivers must view it as a hassle and simply bypass it by marking that they couldn’t use the feature when they don’t even try. Much easier to just run them to the unprotected porch and run back to their van. On top of these issues, the Key support team is useless. They simply apologize and offer no further support or remuneration for your time and expense investing in this tool. Proceed at your own risk.

AmazonKey seemed promising. although this just happened.

an item was delivered into the garage, yet the key app said it was delivered to my doorstep. there were no notifications about my garage door being opened and closed by the driver. this is a huge security issue. i only saw the item inside the garage - and my security camera saw the garage door open and close. these are the only ways i knew someone had been in the garage. i’m extremely unhappy about this.

why should the key app tell me all about when we open/close our garage - yet when, more importantly, a delivery person has accessed the garage it tells you NOTHING.

I was having issues with packages belling delivered to the wrong door and this completely solved for that!!! No risk of packages getting lost. These drivers don’t even look inside your garage. They open your door, they take a picture of the package and they DO NOT walk away until your garage door is entirely closed. I wouldn’t want it any other way!

AmazonKey and associated hardware has been a dream to install with the only complaint that not every delivery uses it! I, and my supplier, has proof of delivery complete with video footage. Our home is undergoing renovation and there are many deliveries with often no one in attendance. Now I can see all deliveries being made real time and examine video footage if necessary. Simply brilliant!

The garage door opener responds to my car to my iPhone and never misses a beat. IsMuch better than my previous opener. Open and closes reliably with both my car and the iPhone and I receive a message on my iPhone give me the status. much better than the device that I had previously.

I like key and the drivers are quite careful to not leave the door open
I have actually met them while delivering and they handed the package to me and then shut the door. I think the delivery is not complete until the door has closed. Very satisfied with the honesty of drivers. They do not enter the garage since I have outlined an area within reach of the door.

AmazonKey would be my favorite thing ever - if you would fix it. Every time I add or remove someone from the household and click save, it locks up on “Saving…” so that I have to close AmazonKey completely. Then I have to reopen again it to see if my change actually saved. I am constantly adding and removing guests to my household so I need this feature to work better please. I have an iPhone SE 2nd Gen. Thanks.

We were out for the day and it was very calming to be notified that the delivery was made and secure in our garage.

I guess you really do not know the feeling until you are notified and then get home and see that the weather or porch pirates did not have a chance to mess up the day.

I’d love to be able to take advantage of this… but apparently you still can have packages placed in your trunk because of covid. Covid has subsided rather significantly as of late and mask mandates are disappearing. On top of that, I cannot remotely fathom how there’s more, or any, risk of getting covid by putting a package in the trunk of a car, versus inside someone’s residence… Any degree of logic would suggest that it’d be the other way around. Trunk delivery preferred and in-door delivery suspended. Nevertheless, any idea when this will be changed?

I would love it if they would allow you to erase the history of all deliveries and the opening and closing in one swipe. Instead of having to go back into each one individually. Otherwise a very good app

This sounded like a great idea, having been out of town when packages were delivered in the past. Downloaded AmazonKey and linked to the MyQ garage easily. Problem started within the first hour with “Your MyQ is offline” messages. We have never had an offline issue and when I checked it was fine. This went on throughout the evening and today. Disabled notifications and eventually just unlinked it. Currently a waste of time

I reside in a neighborhood where petty robbery such as packages car being broken into things of that sort. Key delivery is the most secure delivery ever thought of. My amazing item was delivered inside my garage. I was alerted by key and my camera instantly came up on my phone

I had another Key delivery today, and it worked exactly as the key program is set up to do. The driver opened the garage door and deposited the package on my workbench in the garage. I received a notification, and I found the package exactly where it should be.

There is a card table in the front an center for purchased products to be left.
Not a big deal, leaving it on the floor but as the driver will attest to I have a very busy garage meaning it is a bit of a mess with so many projects going on…!

Loving this feature. We select key garage delivery when we know we won’t be home. I monitor the driver with my garage camera. Have had stuff delivered a dozen times this way now and it has been great to not have to worry about a package being stolen!

I was a little bit reluctant to tie in the garage door to the WiFi to gravy access to thirds while I’m away. Actually is a great option that keeps your package safe from weather and avoid stealing.

I never feel that safe without this service! On time, packages safe in my car garage! My ring camera vision works awesome! I just love this bright idea of delivering my items safe in my garage! You will never have a stolen package again ! Lots of thanks!

I love this service. Don’t have to worry about items being stolen from porch, under mat, yard or driveway anymore. No more hassles of leaving work earlier to catch a delivery or missing lunch. Packages are placed in plain site and nothing is ever disturbed in my garage. Peace of mind!!

Love the fact that I can comfortably place an order and it be delivered safely in my garage. With my family busy schedule, it’s not all the time that we are home when deliveries arrive thus my package is safe within my garage.

All you need is good Wifi in your garage to link the myQ App to the key App. It takes several tries, but finally worked. I can monitor when my roommates or me went out and went in the garage... and make sure my garage door is closed. I am excited to receive my first in-garage delivery today. Will see how it goes :)!

Whenever adding or removing guests AmazonKey hangs and needs to be killed to use again - guests are in there and lock is programmed, but this an obvious issue and guests don’t get an automatic text either during the add - not sure why it’s taking so long for the fix.

I can not use different lock devices on the same app only bad thing I have 5 door locks with the same lock and only one can register to use not all five

This whole system is super buggy. The lock needs the camera to work. The camera has a crappy WiFi dongle. AmazonKey itself can’t lock in new door codes because of the bad connectivity. Terrible system. Definitely don’t rely on this for your front door of your vacation rental property.

AmazonKey is wholly unusable. I sent up my lock with AmazonKey from the lock manufacturer and it worked perfectly with Alexa. Then I attempted to use the key app and the cloud camera. Holy smokes! I could get the lock recognized and not the cloud camera, once the camera was recognized the key app couldn’t recognize the lock. Meanwhile my Alexa app sees the lock and the camera. After linking and resetting my lock three times (which meant resetting all my codes) I quit.

It's a great app, easy to use. But I hope they will come with an update that makes AmazonKey password protected. Right now you can just open AmazonKey and access everything including opening your door, passwords for other guests and the camera.

AmazonKey works great, but it would be nice if you could have your lock set to unlock/unlock when you are within a certain proximity of the door like the August lock and others. It would also be great if you could give people access to unlock the door through AmazonKey opposed to them needing to enter a combo at the door.

Every time there’s an update, my camera goes offline. What’s worse is because the key app fails at launch, it also causes the camera to malfunction in the cloud cam app. Why even provide updates if there are always connectivity issues after doing do?

When you already have myQ setup, I tap the button to take me to AmazonKey .

It instead takes me to AmazonKey Store for the myQ app which I already have setup and working on my phone. When I tap open in AmazonKey Store page, it just opens the myQ app and no linking to the key app.

It’s not recognizing you already have AmazonKey installed. So, can’t use this at all.

Just updated the Key app and saw in the notes that it now works with Liftmaster MyQ. I updated all apps, tried to set up the link, and it still doesn’t link. It only takes you to AmazonKey Store to download AmazonKey I already have. Apparently I must be the only one who reads the notes and takes them seriously.

Deliveries work great but every time I open AmazonKey it jams up the rest of the audio on my phone so I can't hear anything until I reset/reboot. Fortunately I don't need to open it unless there's a problem but still...

I iinstalled my kit yesterday and I love how AmazonKey gives me the ability to see entry and exit from my home and to set pins/schedules for guests. Great idea.
