Nothing new

I’ve been using NBADunk for a very long time and I feel like recently there are never any new sets and the frequency of sets being released is very slow. Ok top of that, all of the cool sets require real money. I understand having that aspect but at least let people buy packs with coins with lesser odds of getting certain cards. Tops bunt does a great job of releases, making most everything available and adjusting odds for coins and for money. You guys should definitely check out what they are doing. I find that card collecting app very enjoyable. Packs are also reasonably priced via coins.

Sometimes when good sets are made available in dunk for coins it’s 10,000 or 50,000 which is absurd seeing as we get 250 a day for rewards with a bit more here and there. I still get on and collect my coins but I never find myself buying anything. Basketball is my favorite sport but NBADunk never has anything new for free users.

Such Potential But...

I installed NBADunk to better learn rookie players and available cards as I, like millions of others during COVID, got back into sports cards after a very long hiatus. Now I’m into it and WOULD enjoy it even more BUT... This game has sooo much potential but the connection issues and bugs are quickly driving me away. I don’t get it... as a whole, NBADunk doesn’t seem all that complicated compared to tons of other apps out there that have little to no issues. I can’t tell you how many Pack Battles that have frozen on me right after the first card drops and then it “auto plays” and I lose.

I also wish there were better ways to view/organize the cards that I do possess (within NBADunk ) so I can enjoy them, etc.

Welcome to the future

As we all know everything is going digital, the world is an ever changing place. Our hobby we knew as a kid is now also available on an app. I’ve started collecting digital cards about a month ago along with my physical cards as I have always done.

The fact that some of the cards are already available on eBay to purchase is awesome, there is money to be made here if you get, buy or trade the right cards. Like all apps, there is a slight cost if you want to buy packs, totally fine. But you also get coins, cards and packs for free if you check in every 4 hours. Nothing wrong with that, FREE.

I highly recommend NBADunk, download it and start collecting your favorite players, think 10 years from now and what your digital Zion Williamson card is going to go for on eBay. Love the concept and i welcome it.

Digital is the future of all, and this is no different, I’ve had a great opportunity to collect my favorite players and their respective rare cards.

My only con with NBADunk is, I wish it was not as gaming looking, It needs a more modern look and feel, not the feel like if I was playing parchese on my phone. Modern, real looking environment and NBADunk rocks...

Dunk app

I think NBADunk idea is great, some changes need to be addressed. New/more achievements, easier navigation, and reliable access to battles. At times I’ve completed a battle, went to do another one right away and it said my connection was lost. I have quality internet with unlimited data, I don’t see why this would be an issue. I don’t have connection issues with other apps. I have been in a battle and NBADunk completely closed without warning and obviously lost the battle and the coins I used to enter the battle. Overall, I like NBADunk just would like a more smooth experience.

Ok

Overall I enjoy NBADunk but one thing I found that went wrong was I sent a trade offer to a guy and something happend I guess and NBADunk crashed and I load it back up and there no trade offer and I got to my cards and it says there locked meaning there already in a trade so I lost a bunch of good cards just because it crashed :(

Just fix bugs and it’s perfect

I just downloaded this game a few weeks ago and I’m already addicted. However, it is very frustrating how often NBADunk crashes or has issues with connecting. If these bugs could be fixed it would easily be my favorite app. I love the battles, the trading, the collections, it’s got everything you’d want in a card collecting app. I just wish I could play the pack battles without it crashing five times before it finds an opponent or that it wouldn’t crash in the middle of a game.

By

CRASHES SO MUCH

NBADunk is a great idea and has massive potential but is so incredibly frustrating/bad with the crashing. Today I was playing the mystery box and had 27 hrs of VIP on the line and when I pressed exit & claim rewards, it decides to tell me there’s something wrong with my connection all of a sudden. Coincidence considering this is the farthest i’ve ever gotten on the game and this has never happened up to this point? I don’t know, but the crashes have to be fixed. This is unacceptable for me to lose all of what I earned + a loss of 6000 coins just because NBADunk crashes every 5 minutes. I’m probably deleting NBADunk now because this was so frustrating.

Improvement ideas

I like the idea of completing collections, but the trade options make it difficult to complete trades. The open trades should automatically select the cards in your collection the other user is requesting instead of having to manually find them in your collection. Also, I’d like to see a duplicate card icon on cards when looking through trades so I know if I have any extras of the cards the other user is requesting.

By

Horrible customer service

NBADunk is unique, cool, and an interesting take on trading and collecting nba cards. While it’s a great concept, the support for NBADunk is horrendous. When you complete a task for free coins, it says rewarded, but you never receive the coins. Even when you go through customer support, all they send is automated messages saying it has been rewarded and don’t actually help you. I’ve had the same message multiple times trying to get the coins and at this point it’s only giving a bad opinion of NBADunk primarily because of this.

By

Crashes

Every time I try to load it gives me a warning forced update fail message, confused because I’m up to date with software and app indicates it works on my current iOS… also believe I have lost cards that charged my coins because bought 5 packs 6 cards per and then crashed as opened it and when go back to check there is not 30 cards of that particular purchase which wouldn’t be a big deal but I actually put my own money in. And now I can’t confirm that because NBADunk won’t even open!!! Frustrated

Cool Digital Card Game but the developer needs to work on the app

It’s a fun game but the developer need to work on the application not freezing up during the card battles and the mystery game because it causes you to lose battles and valuable cards and other things you’ve earned. Also the time bonuses need to be a little better. Lastly Panini need to try to sell cards in the stores like Apple Card’s but with surprise bonuses or rewards on them when cash them in on the application. I hope to see some improvements and updates soon.

You do realize that 2k already made a card game right be for you

Do you not realize that they already made one and it’s way better they made 3 nba card games There’s came out on the 2k nba mobile basketball came out 2018. And yes it does has cards. 2019 my nba 2k20 is the second card game and bundle with 2k20 September 2019 so what is the point playing this junk now. If you have not realized is wwe SuperCard. That came on 2014 ouch that was really back in the day when they did nba now. There’s are way better then yours so what is the point playing this game.

By

Waiting for this

I’m hoping one day you can lock cards and then put them on a marketplace to be sold nft style as you’re collecting. That would make this so much more fun. We’re paying for packs so why not let us sell the cards. I’d definitely buy more packs if that was the case

By

Disappointed

Wouldn’t recommend spending any money on the game unless you want to lose everything you paid and worked for after they disable your account highly disappointed

By

Horrible App

Does not load mostly on the card battle aspect. All 10-11 of my losses were because it would freeze up after the first card match, then it would freeze. The NFL version is much better but even that has its flaws.

Also, on both earn coin functions, when watching commercials, it will sometimes hide the X behind another word so it could not be pressed or able to exit. Id have to close out NBADunk .

Fix these issues

Great Game but…

This is a great game but I wish that there were better ways to view and manage connected accounts. For example, I wish there was an option where I can see what google or apple account I connected to my game account and be able to manage them.

By

Great game but a few fixes needed

I love the concept but the trading menu is a little confusing to someone who is new to this type of game also while playing pack battles the game will freeze and force you to simulate the game and will end with you losing cool cards that you could have one

By

Amazing game

This is a amazing game I love sports cards (football and basketball cards) in real life like real cards, this game is very fun you can’t sell them, trade them and more I recommend getting this game! If your still reading this stop and get the game!!

By

Fix the bug issues

They should care more about the Dunk App nothing new has been released NBADunk constantly glitches out or doesn’t connect properly always closes out never lets me join any card battles but when it’s time for me to load money to buy coins or packs they are efficient on that part fix your app panini or NBA whoever runs this dumb!

By

Good Game

It’s a good game but I wish more would bid in the auction, also I think you should be able to make your own likes cards or something so we don’t have to screenshot every card

Major step backwards—I hope it improves

Overall, big step back from the previous Dunk app, which also started terribly before getting much better. This new Dunk is all flash with no real substance. Dunk is not as fun without marathon cards to chase. It’s also boring that you get the same 1,000 coins every 4 hours with no bonuses or anything interesting. It’s bothersome to have to check in at 4-hour intervals to get coins now. Also annoying: VIP doesn’t last 24 hours anymore. All this stuff makes me feel like quitting NBADunk .

It’s unbelievable that card collections from the previous app don’t already appear on this new app. This is a major reason nobody will ever take digital card trading seriously—because you don’t own anything and Panini can take away your cards whenever they want. That doesn’t inspire me to spend money here.

Maybe it’ll get better—it did last time. NBADunk is just all form over function right now. It’s extremely busy to the point of annoyance and isn’t very fun or interesting. I hope the devs make some major improvements soon.

Review

I am Steadymobbin on blitz. I love the new game and the pack battles as it keeps me more interested in returning to the game! I also love the look of the cards. I think that we should be able to get more coins in various ways and we used to get 1000 coins verses the 500 now which was kind of a bummer. I would love for it to be easier for me to pick and choose what cards I’d like to trade for and which cards I’d like to trade. It’s so hard and time consuming looking through my collections and figuring out which cards i want to trade and what cards i need! I also don’t like the fact that if i don’t have the card i can’t get a clear view of the cards as you guys have it hazed our for some reason! My overall review of NBADunk is that i love it just wish the the operating interface was a lot more user friendly...and i absolutely LOVE the pack battles! Steadymobbin

Horrible

My dunk name is ripcity, and I'm sure you recognize it from all the emails and posts in the fan feed, that is if you do even check emails and respond, which 85 percent of the time there is no response at all.
Why do I rate one star on my favorite app? Easy!
This is easily the poorest ran digital card app out there, and I've been playing card apps since 2014.
Topps has a version of the walking dead, and how sad that it is 100 times more popular that an NBA basketball app?
Idk where to start! How about the incompetent staff? Forgetting to put all the cards in specific sets, AND DOING NOTHING TO FIX IT UNTIL MONTHS LATER (prizm base and variant base) even though you received emails from me and countless others EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Or how about the complete disaster that was transferring cards and coins over from old all. Idk how many people STILL haven't received their old collections. Pathetic.
I'll let more invested traders comment on the horrendous and broken contest part of NBADunk , but you can already guess it is a mess.
Let's not forget the fact that I bought a large sum of coins, only to see NBADunk crash and not receive the coins. AFTER A DOZEN EMAILS AND NO REPLY FROM PANINI OVER A WEEKS TIME, I WENT TO APPLE AND GOT A REFUND IN LESS THAN A FEW HOURS.
And what's even funnier about all the stupid mistakes and screw ups from this company is the fact that the staff will never take responsibility for the mistakes they make.

Good way to enjoy card collecting...When not crashing

I spend more time on NBADunk and NFL BLITZ but if there was a way to get in app purchase money returned I’d I,STEVIEJ6, would shut my account down and stick with Blitz. Have had 3 in app purchases that were charged but not received (Probably because NBADunk crashes during battles, trades and purchases) Within 2 weeks it appeared they were making it right but was only partially corrected and today makes 2 months and still waiting for the part that drove me to open wallet in 1st place (“Special packs” that come with “Deal” purchases w/lim# cards). If not for this issue along with 3-5 inquiry #’s and having to jump through hoops to receive remaining shortage... some Coins but mainly the 15 or 20 packs NBADunk would be a solid 5!

Great card designs; updates lagging

First off, I love the variety of cards and the periodic freebies.

That said, there is plenty of work to be done in regards to the games they offer (arena and contest). Players change teams throughout the season, but the database doesn’t reflect those changes unless a new card is printed with the current team on it. Also, the arena game is convoluted and only available for a sliver of time and doesn’t include cards from previous years. Yet, we still have gameplay numbers on the backs of old cards, uselessly sitting there with no way to actually play with them. In summary, NBADunk games need tlc but still NBADunk remains fun for collectors.

Problems with negative account.

Okay so I started NBADunk and thought wow this could be nice. I bought a couple packs and then noticed that I’m -6000 coins lol. Okay so I thought this is stupid but I’ll just collect coins and bring it back to the positive. Waited until I could get my coins and my total went to -5500 so I thought I’ll just keep doing this even though it’s not making me like NBADunk . I logged in three hours later and bam back at -6000 needless to say I was frustrated. I then said well it must be a glitch so I’ll give them a chance to fix it and send a ticket in. I sent a ticket almost 4 days ago and no response. Seems like they could care less. I have all Topps apps and have spent good money on Bunt and I would have spent money on NBADunk. It would be nice if someone cared enough to get a hold of me and respond to my problem.

Cheeklesschaps

It’s a fun app. You can play for free getting 500 free coins every 4 hours. However if you want to get the really cool cards, you need to spend money.

I know developers are out to make money but I think the prices for digital content, especially considering said content is completely random, is a tad outrageous.

With that said I play, I buy every once in a while but I have no intention of going broke to get into the top 100 of a weekly or seasonal contest where people have paid thousands of dollars for cards with the 25x and 30x scoring bonuses.

Fun app but still has some bugs

I grew up in the 80’s and a big part of my childhood included collecting sports cards. Panini NBA Dunk brings back the excitement of my childhood. Opening that pack and hoping for a card I could brag to all my friends about. Then the sense of accomplishment when you complete a set is a very exciting part too. Most of the cards will end up being free because you will get rewards for logging in or you can buy more packs with in-app credits.

Unfortunately, NBADunk has some flaws.
- The inventory is buggy. Many times when I open a pack, not all cards that were in the pack get registered to my collection.
- The earn coins by completing TapJoy tasks is majorly flawed. I completed 5 different tasks and only received in-app credits for 1. Don’t even bother with TapJoy. They will say that they already dispersed the credits. The tasks will show completed, but the credits will never show up in NBADunk .

Overall, I am very appreciative that Panini is trying to sustain that part of my own and my friends childhood that we enjoyed so much.

Lots of cards to collect, and improves with time

I have been surprised to find how addictive this game is. I am not a big NBA fan, but I do like collecting the digital cards and this makes me more interested in the actual games. And I find the Pack Battles are very enticing to me, I’ve gotten some nice cards that way. Trading is fun too. And the Case Breaks are interesting...I go cheap, so I don’t get the best cards there, but it is fun to get some inserts and/or variants there. This is much better than the old version. I now play this more than competitors’ trading card games. If you like inserts, this game is great for that. NOMOG0PBS.

Greedy cash grab

Literally nothing about this tells me this is made by fans of basketball nor trading cards. NBADunk is run by greedy losers jealous of Topps' monopoly reaping in boo koo bucks. The designs are atrociously lazy, everything is horrendously overpriced, the drop rates are rediculous, the modes are cliched and useless and the contests are solelty for whales because only the top 10 ranked earn anything. So you waste currency to go against teams that clearly spent real money and you get dominated every time. My highest mulitplier is x4, we're competing against people with x10+. It's stupid. Also, what genius thought open world Gps card collecting ala pokemon go was a good idea? Holy crap its stupid. Overall, this is feels like a side project made by a greedy developer just trying to bank off the license.

By

Good but?

This game is perfect for a so so card collecting game. I wanted to transfer my collection for the last game and it never happened. I ended up making a new account. I would consider this game much better if I could get the cards I had from last game. The trading is also so so. I believe that you should be able to view trade offers up to a day after the trade was posted, because most people don’t just sit on their phones and play this game all day long. Lastly make to loading screens more interactive, maybe put tips on how to improve your collection, or just show possible cards.

By

Stick to real cards

This game is expensive. The price of coins is equivalent to the amount of a real box of cards. At least you actually own the real cards. Trading is unbearable. There no good way to earn coins other than 500 coins every 4 hours. Which is a pretty small amount compared to pack cost. Buying coins is your only option which are expensive. You have to pay at least .99 cents to get vip to even get a chance at the good cards. There is no way of telling if something is sold out. I have two 10 count cards that are both serial numbered 4/10. Unfortunately I have quit playing this game because I’d rather stick to the real thing. If I’m spending a paycheck I’m going to the card shop not my phone.

By

Best NBA card trader on the App Store

I actually appreciate all of the work put into this game to have an NBA card trader. As a collector, I like that I can trade and collect anywhere I go. The only reason that I have removed one star is because of the free coin system. You constantly have to be on NBADunk in order to get any packs. Other than this, NBADunk is very well designed and I would recommend it to anyone.

Dunk Issues and lack of follow up

The follow up on issues concerning Dunk are poor at best. I get a standard form letter and no follow up. The issues are minor and you would think they could be fixed ASAP. Why does it take so long for action to be taken? I have coins and cards in limbo and open tickets but no follow up. This is very frustrating and makes me reluctant to use the auction feature. The auction feature appears to have been rolled out with lots of bugs/issues and as a consumer, my confidence in the feature is low. Could you remedy this issue, lots of people use the auction feature and we are losing cards and coins due to your failure to put forth an feature that works properly.

Pay to play

Like many others, I love collection games like this. Card collecting is a big hobby for some people. NBADunk has great potential for people who like collecting cards, but it’s obviously pay to play. You get barely any coins from rewards. I’ve watched many videos, and only got 100 coins. I watch a video and press to claim my reward, but it then says I have no reward. What a great waste of time. The modes such as pack battles, and mystery box are great. The only problem I have with NBADunk (besides occasionally crashes and the no reward bug) is that getting coins is near impossible unless you pay. Please make it easier to get coins and NBADunk would be amazing.
