Jewel Osco Delivery Pick Up Reviews

Avoid Jewel-Osco. The lack of notifications and current status of your order is a serious problem. Didn’t get any email or text about my delivery running late and I had to call to find out if I was still getting the delivery. I didn’t even realize there’s a separate app for online delivery until I received that email. Downloaded this thinking I’d be able to see the status of my order. Nope, just a list of past orders and current order. I’m not using Jewel anymore without these basic systems in place.

Very bad first impression. It’s not acceptable to make the customer call to find out the order is running late when you have an email system and app in place. Better to go with Instacart or other direct online delivery stores that actually keep you informed every step of the way.

JewelOscoDeliveryPickUp ’s UI is terrible. To edit an order you have to go to orders, select the order, tap the cart, select new items, tap Cancel (which makes you think you’re cancelling), tap back, then tap Confirm Changes. But I digress.

I’ve just had bad experiences. I gave them two tries - neither order was correct. They have a bad habit of switching count/weights of products - for example I ordered 2lbs chicken and 1lbs salmon and I got 2lbs salmon and 1lbs chicken, so I had to go out and buy more chicken and toss the salmon I had no room for (full freezer). They forget things (like my bananas) or smash things (like my eggs), or, even when I select no substitutions, they substitute anyway.

Top that off with refusing to recycle bags and I’m done. I wouldn’t recommend JewelOscoDeliveryPickUp with its confusing UI design and poor service.

I love the convenience of delivery service due to my work schedule and lack of a car. However there is a serious draw back in that the shoppers substitute too many items that higher priced or smaller size.... ultimately missing sale prices or not getting enough of what you need. Even got pork sausage when I ordered chicken, if I had dietary restrictions I would have been more upset. My second and last time ordering delivery service if I can help it...my delivery driver strongly advised against getting delivery, almost felt like I was being judge for doing so, really rubbed me the wrong way.

Pros:
-JewelOscoDeliveryPickUp is really easy to use and order from.
-The drive up service is very convenient. I have a new baby, and not having to truck him into the store has been great.
-You don’t need to order 24 hours in advance like Peapod. I can place an order at lunchtime for pickup after work.

Cons:
-I have often had orders incomplete because of items out of stock.. sometimes I get that they could be out of some things, like a specific bakery item, but once they said they were out of strawberries and I had run in the store to get a last minute birthday card and they had a ton of them right at the entry.. it makes me think they are just unorganized
-They use a ton of plastic bags for no reason.. I had an order with 6 individual yogurt cups and they were in three bags with only two yogurt each and no other items.. that is just one example. It makes me feel guilty using the service

I would’ve given Jewel five stars however there needs to be coaching/training around drivers and delivery to walk ups. As an amputee veteran sometimes it is difficult to carry cases of bottled water or sodas upstairs or some days I’m not well enough to shop which is why I utilize Jewel delivery. However the the last time I used delivery the delivery man complained and fussed about bringing my groceries upstairs to my unit and I was advised not to order heavy items such as cases of water or to meet them downstairs. I didn’t enjoy that experience but overall a good service. So if you don’t have a walk up then this would get five stars and I totally recommend using them.

At checkout my cart wouldn’t load so I had to try again an hour later. Then I had to re-enter my credit card info several times because I kept getting an error message “card cannot be accepted” even though the info was correct. Maybe because it was my first online delivery order? Otherwise, very convenient.

I just ordered for the second time. First time was awesome. I had surgery and am using a walker and cane.
The driver was amazing. He was fine bringing the groceries right into my kitchen. I truly appreciated the extra effort on his part.
There were some substitutions, which were totally acceptable to me. The shopper filling my order did a fantastic job selecting products.
Fingers crossed, this next deliver goes as smoothly as the first.

I’ve used JewelOscoDeliveryPickUp pretty much weekly for the past 2 or 3 months. It’s great! Especially when the weather is bad, I don’t need to leave the house. All the delivery people are friendly and courteous. I’ve never had a problem with the delivery time...in fact on two occasions they called because they were running early and wanted to know if it was okay to come. I usually choose no substitution if something is out; but have only experienced that once so it wasn’t a big deal. For me it’s been easy, convenient and fun.

I use the online shopping at Jewel from time to time, today my Son is home with the flu and we still need to eat, it’s 1:30 and I can pick it up at 5:00! It’s all of our favorite things but I don’t have to get out of the car! I just wish that they had more delivery options every time I want to use it the day of, all the slots are full! I guess you have to plan better for that, otherwise I love it!

Ordering my food online has worked out wonderfully. I call the number on the Drive & Pick up sign tell them my parking space number and in a few minutes a person comes out with my order. I only have to press the button to open the trunk and when delivered press the button to close the trunk. I am very thankful for this service. 👍

I am brand-new to online shopping when it comes to groceries. The nearest Jewel is 1.5 miles away and I have no car, so my choices are to either Uber there or go to the nearest one near the loop when I go to work and carry the bags home. This was a surprisingly easy experience! I have no complaints I can think of. Granted my groceries haven’t been delivered yet, but in regards to app usage, very easy.

I downloaded JewelOscoDeliveryPickUp because the temperatures here are below zero and didn’t want to venture out to the grocery store. JewelOscoDeliveryPickUp was easy to use and I had no problems with it. I found all the groceries I was looking for and the pages loaded quickly. The images were clear and the process was super easy to use.

I absolutely love this service. I am legally blind and handicapped therefore I’m not able to pick up and go and get my groceries. This gives me my freedom to pick what I want and have it delivered right to my door. The drivers are so very helpful and friendly. I try to tip them but they won’t take the money LOL. I would recommend this to all.

JewelOscoDeliveryPickUp is horrible. Choosing items from the sale flyer, it is added as a cluster of items. My husband has to call and ask which items I want and how many. You do not have the option for quantity. Just awful!!!

Cannot believe you do not offer Land of Lakes America cheese. I don’t want low salt, no salt or white. Also lacking in deli meat selection. Out of stock items a problem, especially when you are entertaining. Substitutions does not seem to work well.

I placed an order on January 14, 2022 and was overcharged by $50. I called customer support and that evening and they are supposed to apply a credit to my son's account as he paid for the groceries. I live in an assisted living facility less than a mile from the Jewel. However, I do not have a car. I was very upset by this overcharge and hope everyone will make it a point to check their receipts!

WOW! WHAT A RIP OFF!! Walmart delivery is way better by far. I figured I'd try Jewel out. However, I bought over $150+ worth of groceries and need them for tomorrow. My delivery was dropped off and left at the door which is fine but it was not my order, nor was my name on the order. They gave me SOMEONE ELSES! & guess what? It was $30 worth of yogurt. Really fun. Will not recommend. When I called the woman told me that there's nothing they can do and will give me a credit in 5 business days. I don't want a credit, I want my groceries. Furthermore, I will never shop at Jewel again.
