This MacOS app does the basic functions as expected however there is no information on how to upgrade or how get the full version despite the app clearly stating that upgrade as possible and that it will remove the "trial "labeling to provide full feature set.
***In the developer response, they state there is no full version yet in their very own app it's littered with gold lettered "trial" badges on different options and there's literally a paragraph description claiming that you have to upgrade to get the full version. So clearly this developer doesn't even know what's in his own app!! In addition reviewing an app it's not complaining. It's called a reviewing. Perhaps being less offended and more knowledgeable about your own app would benefit you greatly and provide a better product for users.

I have been using Waifu2x in IOS for years now with its latest updates and the various improved scaler models but never I had any issues before of literally waiting for them to even start processing the image file regardless of what resolution it is up until just recently. Whenever I refresh the app or turn on my moderately powerful hardware iPhone, it always loads the chosen models first every single time. The main issue is that it takes over a minute just to finish loading a model. I have been using practically the same exact settings before and after I upgraded to a new phone yet it doesn’t make a dent in the annoying long loading times.

It’s not something that brakes the app for its main purpose on what is trying to do but hopefully, this will get patched soon and it’ll make it easier for us to not wait this long to change even over a single image/video than it should. Around five-second load times when choosing a model at least would be very much tolerable regardless that the software app didn’t have any loading times before I made this review.

Works pretty great. Lots of options. I bought the additional models.

I would give 5 stars but it uses the old photo picker API that requires me to change the photo library access inconveniently.
Much needed request: please use the PHPicker API instead of the old UIImagePickerController. That way I don't need to expose my full photo library to the app, and I can conveniently select photos without having to constantly change the limited photo library selection in the settings. If you did that this would definitely be a 5 star app, but until then it is a major inconvenience to have to do that.
