Great radio, unreliable app

I’m a huge YPR fan and supporter, but I can’t get YellowstonePublicRadioApp to reliably work. It will quit after a number of seconds and takes a long time to reload. Am I the only one experiencing this? Really frustrating as I value the continent they provide. Hoping YellowstonePublicRadioApp experience improves!

Good, but . . .

. . . holy cow, is it slow to get going. I don't know the exact technical terminology, so in plain English, wow is there a long pause between pushing the play button and the stream actually playing. Other than that quibble, it works great. Love being able to pause the stream.

Glad it’s here, but needs work

I’m glad for YellowstonePublicRadioApp , but it does a poor job of placing the newest news stories first, and it does not easily allow sharing via the Facebook app, some of us prefer YellowstonePublicRadioApp rather than logging in via our browsers, and improved sharing features would be nice —and show more people about how good YPR news is!

Terrible update

The latest update has made YellowstonePublicRadioApp so slow to load, it is easier to just go somewhere else.

Does What it Should

The YPR app works fine and looks really cool, but takes an annoyingly long time to “boot up”— a characteristic unique among the six public radio apps I use. This reticence is the reason I shorted it a star in my rating.

Yay! Finally!!

Thanks YPR—I use the NPR one app but missed the local news! Wonderful to have YellowstonePublicRadioApp now. Just a little slow to get going.

Great way to listen to YPR

I love listening to YPR on YellowstonePublicRadioApp. It's nice to have the easy access on my phone. My only complaint is that it's slow to start playing after you push the play button.

Very Good

I’ve used YellowstonePublicRadioApp for years and it works well. The only weakness I have found is when selecting the live stream it seems to need to connect twice. Once connected, works great. Use it often.

Wonderful, my favorite app!

This is such a great app- jazz, classical, news all at your fingertips. Way to go YPR that’s why I donate every year!! Thank you!

Love it.

And need it! My only (mild) objection is music coming along in the morning, which is when I absorb my news. Montana coverage is excellent.

My perfect companion

YellowstonePublicRadioApp gives me access to my favorite public radio content anytime I wish. I’m grateful for Yellowstone Public Radio!

Now I never miss a program

So easy to use and handy for quick news updates

MONTANA Sourced News Excellently Provided

This is an excellent public radio station, particularly if you are a Montana or northern Wyoming resident. The local new team connects with other news teams across the state to provide an all inclusive program and podcasts, integrating with NPR. I have my Alexa device wake me up with a briefing from NPR and Yellowstone Public Radio.

I enjoy the varied programs produced by NPR and YPR on the weekends, as well as the music during the week. I particularly enjoy the jazz programs in the afternoon, but the classical programs in the mornings are a great way to have Alexa wake me up.

All of this takes support from Montana residents. If you live solely on SSI as I do, consider listening to YPR and give a small gift each month. If you are a resident outside of Montana and would like to listen to a well-administered public radio station in a ‘purple’ state: please tune in: you won’t be disappointed.

Great app from a great news source

Yellowstone Public Radio is a terrific new team and this all brings it with you wherever you go.

One of the better ones!

I’ve lived a lot of places and this station is one of the better ones. Right up there with CPR.

It is a rare app that is done just right

Really like YellowstonePublicRadioApp and use it often. I mostly listen to YPR, but like the ability to listen to talk/jazz/classical stations — these choices listed at the top of the page. It works.

Yay!

I have experimented with various ways of streaming YPR on my phone including TuneIn and the NPR app, but this dedicated app is easier to navigate and provides a superior streaming experience. I haven’t experienced any buffering issues or loops (which drive me away from TuneIn all the time!)

Love it

The classical music selections are always great. They include old favorites as well as pieces and composers new to me. Not much really new or avant-garde, which is just fine with me!
Nice to be able to stream the radio shows too.
My only complaint is I can’t figure out how to look up the names of music being played, or how to catch up on a news piece I couldn’t hear the end of.

Finally, YPR has made it into my home

I don't have internet at home (other than my smartphone), so I have been limited to listening to YPR from my car radio. And YPR is really the only radio station I listen to. So when YellowstonePublicRadioApp came out, I am now able to listen whenever I want, conveniently wherever I am. It is easy to navigate, I appreciate reading the days headlines, and I am looking forward to discovering more of its programming. Great app, I highly recommend it!

Best News App

I’ve been listening to NPR ever since I’ve been a kid. This is the best news network in today’s world.
