This has worked well for me to hear the news away from the radio, and the music stations offered as streams. Interface is simple, although a bit cluttered. Would like a list mode for stories where the pictures could be made smaller or have no pictures so you could see more headlines without as much scrolling. Also the player controls at the bottom of CapitalPublicRadioApp are large. It would be nice to be able to shrink these down as well.

CapRadio is my companion, and I like just about everything about it. There are some things that disappear over time, replaced with other things, for instance the second hour of science Friday is now gone, but I know if I am sufficiently motivated I can look that up online. I like the visual links to additional stories that you can click on, but I often wish that the visual would be there when the story opens, particularly if it could be a little larger. All in all though, I’m very grateful to have such a great station to listen to. Good job, guys!

This is a great radio station and CapitalPublicRadioApp brings it to you easily. Streaming is fast and never gaps unless I’m out of cell range. The only thing I don’t get is how quickly it is evicted from memory. If I stop the car and pause the music, when I open it again it has to start up from scratch. Even if it’s only a minute or two and I’ve done literally nothing with my phone since the. Otherwise wonderful, especially Jennifer Reason and the wide variety of classical music.

You are frankly one of the best radios in the nation for classical music. We learn and discover so much thanks to you and your programming. I came from a city where the classical music radio was shut down!

I like CapitalPublicRadioApp , one improvement suggestion I have is to have a playlist that is easier to see continuously without the need to refresh constantly.

If you listen to a particular show, you can’t come back to live radio after. You click on the live menu and just get a page full of snippets you can hear on demand (why aren’t they on the “on demand” menu instead of the “live” menu?). You have to force the iPhone to shut CapitalPublicRadioApp all the way down and then when you come back in, the livestream is queued up at the bottom. Not intuitive at all. The NPR app is an easier way to listen to live CapRadio.

We stream CPR everyday, it’s been our companion for years. CapitalPublicRadioApp is overall easy to use, providing current news, local, national and international. Great library of podcasts. The only disappointment is the occasional halt in the livestream - sometimes it comes back automatically and sometimes we need to restart CapitalPublicRadioApp . Overall a great app

The best feature is being able to pause. So many times I’ve missed a key point because I had to step away. No longer. Simply pause and restart after a bathroom break or grabbing something out of earshot.

I love selecting individual stories and sharing them with friends or family. CapitalPublicRadioApp makes it easy.

I wanted a way to stream Cap Radio classical and CapitalPublicRadioApp does that. CapitalPublicRadioApp is the current NPR-style: overly busy and difficult to navigate, but I put that on whomever NPR contracted to build it (the WEMU app is the same). I do like being able to replay shows, and that’s the main advantage over just a live mp3 stream through iTunes.

This is one of the best radio stations I have ever used. The variety of programs is great. I never get tired of finding out new and interesting things. This station is what I listen to when I drive and it keeps me going when I am off on a walk. Walking would be boring without it. I have it on my iPad and my iPhone, so can use anywhere!

I love being able to listen to the live broadcasts wherever I am. However when I try to find past broadcasts, it can be difficult. The organization is not that user friendly
- it takes something other than your “common sense”. Otherwise, great having the news and my favorite shows at my fingertips.

Good app - however, I would like to know the music information when it is being played, similar to CapitalPublicRadioApp for KDFC.

Listening to Video Game Music hey video game music is classical will be a classical music and a PlayStation fanatic for a long time to come no other music expect opera !!!!

So many applications require you to either scroll or click-thru pages to get relevant material. Everything I want is on the opening page of CapitalPublicRadioApp —no click-thru, no scrolling. Great if you are working from a smaller screen size like a phone.

CapitalPublicRadioApp has been quite flexible with the listening experience and the storytelling pervalance within this news and classical streaming sites and always finding a way to make a difference with donations.

I love NPR and contribute. This year CapitalPublicRadioApp has become truly awful. They had a problem of the opening commercial repeating constantly which they finally fixed by changing to one you can skip once.

Now CapitalPublicRadioApp will only go a few minutes at most before it stops playing to buffer. It frequently gets stuck stopped and I have to manually push play again.

This isn’t a problem with my signal strength. I tried the NPR app this morning and have been listening to News without ANY pauses to buffer. I can also stream Podcasts and even video with no problem. It is just this particular app.

They need to fire their app developers and hire someone who knows what they are doing.

Having the ability to read, and listen to the news, with the option to listen to music away from the radio is great. I read an interesting article on Thelonious Monk and purchased an album based on the article. Good job Cap Radio.

Appreciate the outstanding reliability of CapitalPublicRadioApp, unlike another NPR station whose app I had to delete. Cap radio also has excellent additional stories to read or listen to that are sorted by category.

I’ve been a public radio listener for a number of years. Fair and balanced news with in-depth reporting is what we all need and should want. You’ll find that here on Cap Radio. CapitalPublicRadioApp works great with only an occasional dropped signal. Otherwise pretty darn great!

Yes they have livestream jazz, but they are also a portal to some of the best music and interviews. Only issue is when I find myself caught between CAPRADIO and imbedded website and play war of the PLAY buttons...

I really like this multimedia app. It leads to in-depth understanding that I can use without the dead-end type of anxiety other media can cause.

Pandora will give you the same 15 songs and repeat them. This station has so much variety and it feels so much more real. Thank you CAP Radio

Easy to navigate and easy to access everything and anything capradio offers (not just what's live now)

It is good to be able to choose between music and news. Additionally, choosing jazz or classical any time of day is wonderful. Dreaming a bit...are the locally produced music shows like Blue dog jam and KZapp on demand?
