It would be nice to see SpheroPlay laid out more like the SpheroEDU Drive app with the controls for the lights, speed, and movement all on one page. I do prefer the Play app for my Sphero Bolt because it works with the gyroscope on my phone to ensure the Bolt is aimed properly regardless of which direction I’m facing, and it does a few fun animations on the LED Matrix whereas the SpheroEDU app does not offer these features. I would also like to see the ability added to enable the Front LED and the Back LED and adjust the color as well as controls for the LED Matrix on the Sphero Bolt. Currently these features can only be enabled and controlled by writing a program for the Bolt. I’d like to be able to display a scrolling message on the screen of the Bolt, enable the front and back LED and drive the robot manually. Currently there’s no way to do this. Hopefully we’ll see an update soon.

I myself think this is a great contraption it is fun for all ages but lt is probably best for 10 through 14. It has games that you can control with the Sphero, You can also control it with an app on your phone, and it has plenty of other features! I only think they should add a Camera so you can see where you were going when you are controlling it.
Other than that it’s pretty great . For Christmas I got four Spheros to give to my family members. They got excited immediately and ran off and played with it. So it’s pretty awesome and I think you or whoever you are getting it for will love it.

I think SpheroPlay is better to control and u have more control I do recommend SpheroPlay if u have struggles with other ways👌But I do recommend u put some more games to play I sorta got bored from playing the same games over and over again! I also recommend to use the Sphero mini because the shell on it protects it from breaking.I dropped the robot like millions of times down the stairs (on accident) and it was perfectly fine!

the controls (sphero 2.0) need to be fixed in that it should be much easier to adjust the aim. On the other apps, you hold down and rotate a button right by the joystick to adjust the aim, but on this one you have to click the button, wait like 2 seconds, adjust the aim, click back, and then wait 2 more seconds. With the sphere 2.0 I am constantly having to adjust the aim each time i turn my phone, which is stupid because i turn my phone the whole time while using it to look where the ball is. On the Ollie, it has auto-heading which is very nice, but the sphere does not have that.

So, I recommend making the aiming more like how it is in the Sphero Edu app or how it is in the Ollie app.

I love the new update - Sphero 2.0 is FINALLY supported! But I've already noticed some glitches. One of them is when you are aiming the robot when you first open SpheroPlay , if you point the blue dot on the Sphero towards you, it goes in the opposite direction of where you point the joystick. If you manually aim it again, it fixes it. This is really annoying because I don't want to have to aim my Sphero fifty times for it to work. Also, another thing is that the auto-aim feature isn't really that accurate. On the previous Sphero app, it was extremely accurate and I almost never had to aim it more than once.

This is a great app to use if you want to control any of the Sphero products. However it does not seem to have a function to control the Ollie, I bought the Ollie at release and enjoyed it for a while but one day it just got put onto a shelf and left there for a couple of years. I ended up deleting SpheroPlay used to control the all leave and I wanted to revisit it this year but I can’t seem to find an app that controls it.

Only been playing with it for ten minutes. So much still to learn and do. My only input would be maybe putting a camera inside it so it can be driven without having to be by it. Also perhaps rubberizing the outside or putting rubber nobbies on it for beter traction. Also , maybe a speaker so it can bark or beep or growl or hiss or talk to my cat, my dog, my peoples. Great product. Already want another one.

I find Sphero a lot less entertaining with this new app. On the old one, we could unlock actions, play homing games to find the in-game currency, and others. But with the new app you can only drive and play three games. I wish the old app was in SpheroPlay Store.

My sister gave me her old bb-8 Sphero that’s no longer compatible with any apps I found out. Is there any way I could be emailed the old app that’s no longer on SpheroPlay Store? SPRK I think it was called….. this droid was $150 and i find it very aggravating that it’s been discontinued just like that. Why not just sell these droids with remotes instead of some stupid app you’re going to delete in 6 years?? Millions of people bought these star wars droids and they’re money has basically just been taken away from them. Now all they have is some useless toy that can’t move unless they still have SpheroPlay . Are there any 3rd party recommendations?.

Sphero play is great. A couple years ago I got a sphero for my birthday, and this is SpheroPlay I downloaded IMMEDIATELY when I saw it. I haven’t stopped using it since because it’s so great. One thing to buyers though, aperitif play works WAY better on a phone than a tablet or iPad. This is just my opinion because to me it’s easier to control, but you can buy whatever suits you.

SpheroPlay and the toy are so fun. There are a few things I think should be changed. There should be more fun games to play with your robot. You should make a game we’re you can interact with your robot like it was a real pet. Like an alive pet rock. I also think you should add a new drive ability we’re the robot will track your mobile device using SpheroPlay and follow you.

I got a 2.0 for Christmas, and it is compatible with the edu app. However, I would like it to be compatible here too, and contacted you about it, and you said that 2.0 and sprk+ are now compatible. How do I connect my Sphero 2.0 to SpheroPlay?!? Please respond soon, and maybe I’ll change my rating.

I own almost all of your Sphero products and I recently got the Sphero mini. Such an awesome product! I love how it’s less than $100 and is so portable! Plus it looks really cute next to my 2.0 Sphero. I can’t wait for future updates like new games in SpheroPlay . I am also excited for new skin covers for the mini to make it look like an 8 ball or a golf ball.

Everything about this is amazing. But it would be nice nice if you could add a feature that allows you to redo the aligning things because when I did it it messed up everything where if I go left it goes forward and right goes backwards etc.

I love this and my sphero has been with my for many adventures but after a few months I noticed something (might be app or sphero) When I place him on tile or a wooden floor and send him zooming he comes back dizzy. What I mean by that is that he goes to long, moves on his own, and is temporarily numb from
being hit.

Honestly, I really liked this before they updated SpheroPlay and how I could make the Sphero do cool tricks and dances but now, they updated SpheroPlay and it’s completely different. No dance moves, or no fun challenges. In my opinion, the dance moves were the best part of it but now that it’s gone, there is nothing exciting about it. Yeah yeah you can still control it and move it around, but what makes this more special than other electronic cars or trucks? I wouldn’t recommend paying the money to get this product because it really isn't worth it.

Ok. So first off, I really like SpheroPlay and think the game part of it is really cool. There are so many different ways to control it, so that’s pretty cool. The one flaw is the robotic ball. When I drove it off a really low chair (which is like a foot off the ground) the two halves came apart. I wish that they were held together better.

We bought this for my son who is six years old and he loves it! He gets experience coding and loves being in charge of this small robotic object. He has set up multiple obstacle courses and entertains himself for hours. Can’t ask for anything more during shelter in place.

SpheroPlay is incredible! My family came home for Christmas and gave me the Sphero Mini and when we drove it the dog went nuts and the cat was hissing at the dog and we were dying laughing, thank you SO much for this memory! Also, please tell SpheroPlay Store (if possible) to shut down fake Sphero Control Apps.

I don’t enjoy SpheroPlay as much as I enjoyed the old one. There are so many features, even with SpheroPlay and Sphero Edu, that have been left out. Where did it go? None of the Sphero apps compare to the old one. I’ve checked out every app (even the third party ones, mind you.) and none compared to the old one. If you can, please let me know what happened to SpheroPlay . Thank you.

My sphero sprk 2.0 I think is what it was. Recently broke it was old so I decided to get a new one (a sphero mini) SpheroPlay functions really well. The face drive is a little difficult to use. But that’s fine I don’t use it that much. The mini games are fun 3 (mini games) is enough. All functions are really fun to use. I’ve played with the sphero till it was dead. My friends enjoy the Sphero as well. Which is saying a lot because they normally don’t like those things. Like SpheroPlay a lot functions well compared to the only sphero app that you can no longer get in SpheroPlay Store. Would recommend.

I thought that it would be another thing that didn’t work at all. But I was wrong. I have a mini and you can play games, be a spy and sneak around the house, and change the color of your mini. I give SpheroPlay five stars. Not to mention It’s soooooooooo cute

Best thing I can play with all day without getting bored and all night without getting tired it is so good to play with it because you can get energy if you chase it and someone else is controlling it and that is what I think why mini is a good robo
