Samoa Language! Reviews

Oct 30th: I paid for all of the in-app purchases for SamoaLanguage with the green icon. Now I can’t open it at all with iOS 11, and I have to download this new app. How do I get back everything I paid for? I tried to find how to contact support, but it just says “we may reply to your review.” Please reply. I’m not happy that $30+ (I don’t remember how much I paid. Maybe $45? Maybe more?) of things I bought, and need, are just gone!

Dec 18th: still no response from support. If the only way you will allow people to reach you is through reviews, you need to respond to them. I expect an answer for how I will be compensated for items I purchased and cannot use anymore for reasons beyond my control and of your doing. I paid for unlimited use of these tools. I expect to retain unlimited use of these tools. Please respond.

June 6th: I never received a response. Not responding to your already paid and loyal customers is horrible business practice. I don’t care how cheap the subscription is, this is rude.

Yikes! I was set to pay for this annual subscription because I want to learn the Samoan language...but after reading these reviews, I’m not impressed with the developers SILENCE. Not responding to the valid concerns of their paying customers is as irresponsible as you can get. Not to mention erasing the previous version, this “green” app that I’m reading about, after many people have paid them for it. That’s criminal.
Too bad really, from what I’ve read it seems like it was a very useful and helpful app. But that doesn’t mean much if the developer feels ok just taking the green app away from their customers right along with their money. They’ve created irreparable damage to their company name by showing their lack of integrity.
If in the future I read reviews from these unhappy customers saying that they were contacted, given an apology and had their money returned in full then I’d be impressed and would probably buy the new “purple” app. We’ll see if that happens.

I was really considering purchasing the bells and whistles that comes with SamoaLanguage because I really would like to better my Samoan but after reading all the negative reviews with no response; I think I’ll pass. I’m really surprised Apple is allowing this to happen let alone go on. Shame on these developers for not fixing the issues with SamoaLanguage . Wanting to learn is an awesome thing. If it’s about the money which I’m sure it is. Think of all the loss because of the negative reviews and with no response at that. Well there’s my two sense. Too bad I thought I found something good. Who knows I may still try it because I’m very eager to learn.

I’m just writing because I see that there is someone who needed help trying to reach out to someone for help concerning purchases he or she made and went missing. I’m going to assume that no one cares because it’s only one review and no one has time to respond to that person. Anyhoots, from the looks of it, it’s been well over a year. Anyways thanks to that person I’m not going to waste my time purchasing anything because no one will respond if any of my purchases goes missing...

Love SamoaLanguage , but the speaking feature did not work at first on my iPhone XR. I wrote a review and everything was fixed somehow. Highly recommend!

I speak Samoan somewhat, and SamoaLanguage has definitely helped me out with some of the words that I do not know.

I previously had SamoaLanguage (with the green icon) with all of the purchasable content unlocked but after updating to iOS 11 I no longer have access to that app and all of the content disappeared. I can’t restore the purchase when I open this version of SamoaLanguage ? How will we be compensated for our deleted content?

Everytime I look up certain words, before I can even look at the translation SamoaLanguage shuts down on its own. Example of this is for the word fa’atoga. It closes itself every single time on my phone. Wondering if there’s any way I can fix this. Faafekai lava

Perfect app for those interested in learning the native language of the islands of Samoa.

I see these guys still haven’t responded to anyone that left a comment. How do we report these crooks? As a samoan, I was gonna let It go, but I dropped too much money on the previous app. This company shouldn’t be allowed to sell anything but their muli on the corner! Rip offs!

I had the older version of SamoaLanguage and purchased a couple of the in-app options, how do I get those to work in the new version?

The reason I got this and paid for the premium was so that I could hear the words/phrases. The speaking portion doesn’t even work so I can’t hear how to pronounce anything. I want a refund honestly!

Pronunciation of words were working before I purchased subscription. Now it’s not working at all

I originally paid for SamoaLanguage content when it was green. Now it’s purple and asking me to pay for a subscription. Well, I’m not going to pay that, because I already PAID the supposed “one-time” purchase...

I paid the $11.00 and instead of “updating” SamoaLanguage , they stopped progress on it and proceeded to make the exact same app, only the difference is that they now make it a subscription based platform, rather than a one-time fee. I tried pressing the “restore purchases”. But it said “nothing to restore”. Complete ripoff.

Not only that, they also got rid of the previous app, so now I have no way of reclaiming what I previously purchased or using the content that I PAID to unlock. that’s bad business and I’m not sorry for telling everyone.
