POP Camera Printer Reviews

I read a lot of reviews and sooo many people complained about the filters stacking and it not clearing after each one instead. Polaroid is a photography company and has been longgg before digital photography came along. If you can’t figure out why they would give you that option then I would look for something more user friendly. Stacking filters allows for sooo many different effects and honestly how hard is it to scroll to the end and just clear it each time your messing around with it. For convenience I would ask that they add a back button so you could go back to just the last filter you added last so you don’t lose the effect they had prior to trying another but it’s whatever lol. Good job Polaroid it’s a lot of fun!

The two basic important functions of POPCameraPrinter don’t work. First, printing from POPCameraPrinter doesn’t transfer wirelessly like it should, resulting in prints that come out beyond blurry and pixelated, like the quality turned into an extremely compressed image file.

The second issue I’m having is with the filters. The way the filters work is very basic and not useful, almost like a beta version. You have to clear the previously used filter every time to see a different one on the photo. There’s no way to go back and the filters stack on top of each other. The execution of it just isn’t...good. Sliders would be much better.

My prints also come out with an orange line on the top and response from support was that it’s a known issue and the only way to potentially fix it is to use the reset button, but otherwise you’re SOL. Why is the camera still being sold, then? Beyond getting poor customer service, I also don’t want to buy another Polaroid product.

I’m a pretty tech savvy person, but I have exhausted everything I can think of to pair my phone to POPCameraPrinter and the camera’s WiFi only to— without fail— be told that there’s no internet connection, every single time that I’ve tried connecting. Between forgetting all other available networks I’ve previously joined, making sure the auto-join possibilities are turned off, trying to connect with both my Bluetooth turned on and off, and even factory resetting the Pop itself, nothing has worked or produced any different results and I’m stuck with the “No Internet Connection” message in my WiFi section when I try connecting to the Pop. Because my phone won’t connect, POPCameraPrinter is completely useless for me.

I think POPCameraPrinter would be good except that no matter what I do, the alignment totally cuts off half of my picture. It ends up printing only part of the picture (either cutting off the top of the pic or the bottom of someone’s chin). These are just standard sized pictures (whether imported from my phone or taken directly on the device), and as much as I can condense them or resize, it just doesn’t scale correctly to print the final edit as selected the in the preview. I’ve tried different types of photos as well (people, scenes, etc), I feel like I’m wasting my paper. Is this something that you can address? Thank you so much.

I love this camera and I love POPCameraPrinter ! It always works great when I use it with my iPhone SE. I only have problems with it when I try to use it when I’m connected to another WiFi source but I don’t think that’s the apps fault my phone just wants to auto connect to the WiFi instead of the camera. Great app and great camera!!

POPCameraPrinter is utter garbage and doesn’t function in the slightest. It’s WiFi connectivity function that it advertises doesn’t work no matter what I do. There’s nothing wrong with the camera itself, my phone is fine, but POPCameraPrinter isn’t fine. It just tells you to go back and connect to the POP WiFi again and again even though it’s been connected the whole time. All I want to do is print a simple photo in a Polaroid fashion but this nonsense app hinders my enjoyment. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

I had an iPhone 6 and it use to be working really good and POPCameraPrinter was so cool! But now I’ve got a 7 plus and it crashes all the time and the prints look 90% worse than what they did on my other phone. I also had to get a new polaroid because of internal damage I believe but before that POPCameraPrinter and the pop was awesome!!!! That probably has nothing to do with it but PLEASE fix this!! It’s so slow and almost never works. The wifi almost never connects and ahhhh it’s so annoying because i really like POPCameraPrinter!! PLEASE FIXXXX!!!!

After much! effort I had the wireless printing working before the update but easily lost WiFi connection. BUT now it works consistently and easily. I like being able to adjust and size the image on my phone or iPad and print. Thanks!

I’m so glad that I got POPCameraPrinter, it has made things a lot easier. I also like how it doesn’t cost to get POPCameraPrinter , that’s one major problem I have with the best apps. But this is the best and it’s free. I don’t have any problems with POPCameraPrinter!! Thank you so much!!!!

It’s very fun to take pictures with stickers and being able to decorate pictures that you’ve already taken

I used to be able to connect and print my photos on my pop. Recently I got a newer iPhone model and can not connect with POPCameraPrinter anymore. My phone and pop connect just fine, but POPCameraPrinter continuously tells me that I am not connected to my pop when I am. Now I can’t print photos from POPCameraPrinter .

I love the polaroid app and camera! I really love how you can print photos strait from your phone to the camera! (I have a iPhone SE.) I have gotten the cutest pics, and are
very happy with the results!!😃

Crashed on iPhone 7 during photo editing. Not encouraging, nor expected given the companies hype, but I am hopeful that they will work out the bugs.

Big pluses- once it gets working it will be an awesome app that will augment the Polaroid Pop and turn it into a usable photo printer.

The odd- limited stickers and odd near unusable color selection interface for "painting" or marking up the photos, but a workaround is to use a third party photo editing app.

Having lots of fun taking pictures and adding what ever text I want to add. Get one you’ll love it. I can guarantee it!!

Even though the camera recognizes my phone (I can see it on the display after connecting to the built in pop WiFi) and my phone recognizes the camera (it created a separate folder for photos to upload from the pop) there’s no transfer of the images in either direction.

This is a fantastic concept that just doesn’t have the technological chops to be functional.

after turning my phone, my camera, my phone’s wifi connection, and my camera’s wifi signal off and on again repeatedly, POPCameraPrinter refuses to acknowledge what my phone’s wifi settings and my camera agree on—the devices are paired and in close proximity. printing from my phone worked once, the day i opened the camera, but it’s either incredibly fickle or has somehow stopped working. either way, POPCameraPrinter not recognizing the present wifi connection is extremely frustrating and seriously limits the camera’s functionality, at least for me.

I love being able to print from this camera. The pictures have a great retro feel. POPCameraPrinter is buggy however and the ios13 update completely broke the connectivity between POPCameraPrinter and my phone. I called support and they said they were working on a fix and that it would be a few weeks. Yikes! Come on Polaroid.

It stopped working after a while even tho I refilled the paper things it keeps saying it not connected but every time I check to see the wifi is always connected so now it won’t print anything 🙄

Client have been trying to connect my printer to POPCameraPrinter and it just won’t work. I called customer service and they told me an update was being released at the end of that week well it’s been 3 weeks now and still nothing. I used to be able to print before with the prior application and now nothing.

I just got a Polaroid Pop for my birthday! Love the camera and couldn’t wait to use POPCameraPrinter for all the extra features! Sadly disappointed 😢. App doesn’t work at all! Loses connection to my phone cannot upload or print; keep getting lost connection or transfer mode lost (something like that) error messages. Hopefully this can and will be fixed!
