The only reason I downloaded CubeAR to solve my Rubiks cubes but it only does it 3 x 3 when you get to the end of aJungle Rubik’s cubePay for it to continue that doesn’t make no sense I only downloaded CubeAR so you can teach me like a learn how to solve my books cute not pay to solve it just makes no sense do not download CubeAR this is a horrible horrible horrible App I would rather get eaten alive by a lion didn’t pay for CubeAR if you’re going to make us pay put that in the description if I didn’t read it oh well we should still not need to pay for it just makes absolutely no sense at all and I’m just a kid this makes no sense to pay for something that’s free when you go and download it no sense at all horrible game do notDownload this game it is the worst game in history do not do not do not do not do not download this game is very horrible you to pay pay very very horrible bad terrible game do not download this game

I didn’t read the description (which does address my complaint somewhat) as it’s fairly obvious what CubeAR does based on the title and picture alone. It fails to mention the in app purchase when you start solving though, which is mandatory to actually complete the solve. It mentions it when you’re almost done. It would have been very easy to make it clear on the title screen or elsewhere that the in app purchase was necessary for CubeAR to fully function. I don’t know why anyone would want CubeAR without the in app purchase?

Very sleazy tactic which I won’t be supporting. Either advertise this fact up within CubeAR or make this a paid app.

Very disappointing as CubeAR worked very well. Unfortunately I can’t justify supporting tactics like this and would rather pay another developer that is up front about costs. If you don’t mind these tactics then this is a great app and worth the money.

I loved CubeAR I almost had my Rubix Cube solved until I realized you have to buy the last layer. I was very disappointed. I thought after years and years of trying to solve it, it would finally be solved. But no. Even though it’s only one dollar I’m not paying money to solve my rubix cube. If anything I could get a new one for one dollar anyway. It’s not worth it. You get really disappointed when you realize you have to pay money to solve your rubix cube. I already payed money for the rubix cube so I’m not paying to solve it. I was super bummed out. I thought that after so many years it would be back to normal but no. CubeAR is just trying to jack your money. Don’t do it. It’s just a rubix cube. You can solve it on your own trust me. I solved mine on my own before so I know you can. Don’t get CubeAR and don’t pay any money for it. Not worth it. Don’t waste your time.

Every time when I scan my cube it would scan it but then on this one part when it said down to scan it does even scan it says moved to a brighter place I opened my blinds I turn on all my lights I even turned up my brightness and it says it doesn’t work and then I’m trying to use the different things you know like different camera mode but it says it doesn’t even work then I had to go downstairs that even when I tried all those lights on it didn’t even work and then it says you have to pay to use the next one it does he even Scan it doesn’t even scan CubeAR doesn’t work at all I’m trying to use it on my Rubiks cube but it’s not working even though it’s a 3 x 3 it will scan it but then I’ll stop scanning sing move to a brighter place CubeAR just doesn’t work

CubeAR need to not use light for the cube to scan because what if someone wanted to use it in the morning or afternoon it would keep saying needs more light I think the video they made was a scam and it was fake CubeAR should be deleted even though the other were worse the is the worst one l agree with everyone who rated CubeAR on star so please do not download CubeAR it is a bad one and you should ask someone who knows how to solve the cube if it works for you don’t read this ever again and mostly people rated it one star so you’ll. find out why people don’t like it first if you have an iPad it would be harder to hold it so if you read this whole review you’ll understand why it’s a bad app.

CubeAR stinks. I tried it with a V-cube, and it couldn’t even scan it because the white squares were black. When it does work, it shows unhelpful and slow directions. I also noticed it solves layer by layer (a very inefficient beginner strategy) and costs for the final layer. In app purchases aren’t going to get you much money for something like this, they will just end in your app being deleted. I have seen apps that calculate the best possible set of moves (20 or less) and give you helpful instructions. I like the idea, but it is executed poorly. Maybe more cube support, easier directions, more efficient solving. no transactions, and an overall simpler and easier to understand app would make this what it could be.

Honestly I was happy when I seen something that I didn’t have to type in the cube pattern and I just had to scan it. When
I opened CubeAR it wouldn’t let me access the camera so I had to uninstall it and then install it again. The second time it worked but when I tried to scan it it kept on lagging and telling me to turn it a bunch of different ways. For a second I thought my phone was going to explode. Then it just started scanning forever and it was not showing an arrow so it was annoying. I really don’t recommend it. Sorry

Needs a lot of work. Mucked around trying to get it to scan but it constantly failed to scan. It kept saying I needed to change the light or I had an irregular cube. But my cube is standArd and no change in lighting made a difference. Further, it appeared to scan each side successfully, prompting for additional sides until it should have had enough info. So something is really off with CubeAR as of this writing. It will be cool if it ever works properly.

The reason why I wouldn’t recommend CubeAR is because when you’re on your almost your last move and like me if you don’t know how to solve a Rubiks cube and you’re on the last one you ask your mom or your dad if you can borrow two bucks to solve your last two Rubiks cubes they if they say no then you can’t solve a Rubiks cube which is really annoying and I don’t really like that like why don’t they just give you it for free I don’t know life’s not like that but I know just give it to people for free.

CubeAR is great at first and I don’t mind having to pay like 0.99 for the last step but the thing is that I’ll be scanning a cube and it will say that I have to move to a brighter environment (I thought it was bright in my room but CubeAR says it ain’t so I guess we all gonna trust CubeAR huh) my closet light was on and I thought that would be a enough light bcz I was sitting right next to it anyways I got up and turned my big light on and my Christmas tree on still it said I had to move to a brighter environment so I was like forget it I scrambled it up more and more and then FINALLY it would do it!

CubeAR is good.. when you get used to the lagginess. I feel like
you should I don’t know.. collect coins instead of paying money and there like 70 to 60 out of 100% chance to actually make it through the whole thing without it needing to scan the cube again :( but I feel like it’s the money; like if you have to spend money at the last step, there’s really no point because theres barely any chance to even get to the end if you ever try CubeAR out again. now, I’m not saying this game isn’t good, I like it but it’s really too laggie -usually games like this are laggy but I’m not saying you should change it because if you can it will probably be really too. 1 to 10 I’d rate CubeAR 6.7 - CubeAR is ok but the money part isn’t. like I said earlier JUST GET SOME COINS🪙 LIKE NAW BRO WTH-

CubeAR is pretty good for a free cube solver. While it does cost money to solve the last layer, it’s still not bad, seeing as I am a cuber who knows the last layer. I bought CubeAR to see if it would actually work, and it does. However, there is a bit of lag, and the AR is a bit wonky. I think if you want to make CubeAR better, fix the AR issues and maybe use algorithms that have the fewest amount of moves to get to a solved state, but only after paying $1. A 2x2-5x5 version would be great for new cubes or those who made the mistake of scrambling their cube. I hope to see improvements soon

Scan feature is a little buggy. CubeAR asked you to use “better lighting” and “not block the cube with you fingers”. I had perfect lighting and my hand was behind the cube the entire time and it kept making me restart the scan option.

Yes, you have to pay for the final solution. Unlike the other person who reviewed this, I actually read CubeAR description and knew before I downloaded it that I’d have to dish out money. I didn’t end up spending anything in the end because CubeAR teaches you as you go and I was able to get the last step on my own. I think that’s the purpose.

Anyway, it’s a decent app with a cool AR feature. A few bugs that make it a little tough to use. Read app descriptions before you download them and you won’t be disappointed. This one clearly says it’s free up until the last step.

Good overall app, could use some bug improvements on the scan feature but otherwise good!

As advertised...I can solve a standard Rubik’s Cube and a Duncan Speed Cube using CubeAR. The first time I used CubeAR , it took about 15 minutes to solve a cube. Most of this was just getting used to CubeAR . The second time took less than 5 minutes to solve. I get a little faster each time I solve a cube. A few beginner tips...make sure the cube is lit well and your fingers don’t block any portion of the cube while scanning. Also, make sure to hold the cube far enough away from the camera. There is definitely a sense of amazement the first time you show someone that your phone can solve a 3 x 3 cube. Great app!

I quickly realized CubeAR has a lot more to it than I thought! I was able to solve my brothers 3 by 3 no problem with CubeAR. Hopefully it can solve other cubes that aren’t square but I haven’t tried it yet. P.S. I swear I’m not a robot and this is a real tried and true review lol Update: So I just realized it can only solve regular Rubik’s cubes so what the heck It’s not like people have a million 3x3s lying around can you please make CubeAR for 2x2s,4x4s,etc. Otherwise though loved CubeAR ! And to think I found it by accident today haha!

Ok this is…. amazing. It’s crazy how this works! Not gonna lie I diddnt think it was gonna work… it scans it and then it tells you what to do and it really works!! And yes, you do have to pay… but it’s only $1 and I honestly think it’s worth it. And it does worn you before you use it so anyway I definitely recommend it. Also if it keeps saying that the scanning failed, just try again the next game because that’s what it said for me and the next day it worked. It only works for three by three but other then that, it’s great! So if you want to solve a rubix cube, get this right now!

I saw the reviews and was skeptical. However, I decided to give it a try. CubeAR blew my mind. It requires a little bit of patience. If you accidentally go in the wrong direction upon the initial scan, you’ll need to start over. No big deal. Yes, in order to complete your cube, you pay a whopping 99¢. It actually worked! My son is so happy!

A lot of people are complaining about the fact that it charges you right before the final solve. Keep in mind the charge is a one time fee. Meaning after you pay the 99 cents it’ll complete your solves as many times as you want without any addition charge. So look at the first few steps to solving as a demo so you can see how good it scans the cube and how intuitively it guides you through augmented reality with arrows floating around the cube. Tracking is great, I can drop the cube or accidentally twist a piece where I wasn’t supposed to and it’ll guide be back without skipping a beat.

I only have a stickered cube so I don’t know how well it scans a stickerless or a cube with non-standard colors.

Works great for me, well worth the 99 cents.

The only thing I wish it had was some type of teaching aspect to learn the algorithms it’s using and why while solving.

I had very low expectations for CubeAR… but it seriously solved my cube! Now, I do understand why y’all hate it, and y’all hate it because is makes you pay in the last stretch. But listen, first off you only need to pay ONE DOLLAR!!! If you can buy a phone or tablet and a cube, you can pay one little dollar! Also, it makes sense that the last stretch of solving the cube would cost money because this is a VERY WELL DEVELOPED APP. I can tell a whole bunch of work was put into making CubeAR. I highly doubt that any one of you haters will read this, but if one of you are reading this, please change your review!!!

I’ve never heard of CubeAR until I searched for something that could help me solve a rubik’s cube. I was hesitant when I saw such the poor reviews, but I still decided to give it a shot. It was the BEST decision I made! It was easy to use and CubeAR detected my cube from beginning to finish no problem. The fee that I paid to finish the puzzle is so small compared to the diligent work and technology at play here.

I honestly don’t know what to say to the complainers. CubeAR worked well for me, and the fee is well-worth it. Hats off to the developers for making such an innovative app!

I was stumped with my cube for months, and then I came across this. You scan your cube and even though it costs a buck for the last stage, it is worth it! It solved my cube effortlessly! It will solve your cube every time! Even if you mess up, like showing the wrong side than the one you were working on, or you make a wrong turn on the cube, it always adjusts to your movements! CubeAR is the holy grail for rubiks cube solving apps! It is even better than rubiks own solution! 5 stars would recommend CubeAR to anyone who is having trouble with their cube!

I got this because my daughter as a cube and we couldn’t figure it out, I found CubeAR and didn’t think it would work, especially after seeing negative reviews, but I opened CubeAR , it clearly stated final solving required in app purchase. It took me through entire thing and then prompted to upgrade, cost $0.99 so I thought why not. App worked perfect, easy to follow steps, love the AR using arrows to point what to do and when. Great work, very happy!

Would love to see this support other cube sizes, like a 4x4 as well.

CubeAR is amazing! I can’t believe it’s only rated 2 stars! It works perfectly! It does take some time but it solves it in the end and that’s what matters! Sadly to solve the last part, it costs 0.99¢, but after you pay, it will solve it how many ever times you want for free! I love CubeAR so much! I’m a beginner, I got my cube scrambled and couldn’t solve it, so this helps a lot! Definitely worth it!

I got to say, CubeAR is a game-changer. I have a cube that I have scrambled so many times I could not find a way. But when I loaded CubeAR up, there were some bugs and I couldn’t scan my cube a couple times. But I just moved to a brighter area and it worked. I’m rating CubeAR 5 stars b/c now I can finally do those tutorials online and because I have a cube that ACTUALLY IS GOOD!!!!

It’s a really good app I solved my 3x3x3 very easily with CubeAR but the thing is can you make it so that it can help with solving 4x4x4 5x5x5 etc because I recently got a 4x4x4 I mixed it but can’t solve on my own I thought CubeAR also helped with 4x4x4 but I was wrong so if this gets noticed please add the feature it will help me and many others

i have zero clue why there is so many back reviews but it worked perfectly and for the last layer i only had to pay 0.99 once. But it only worked when i used my back camera for scanning if you are having scanning problems use the back camera instead!
