DataCamp: Data Science and AI Reviews

I have used several online learning apps and this one is by far the best. It gives you interesting problems to work through immediately. Everything is sequential and makes sense. They remove all the friction from having to juggle multiple environments. Great work!

Edit, 5 months later: I now have over 70 hours of this app training. I absolutely recommend the service, however the mobile application lags far behind the web application. There is limited ability to learn through DataCamp— there are only a handful of courses on the mobile app, where the web app has hundreds. Hopefully they will continue to add new courses to the mobile platform as time goes on.

Edit 2: they fixed a bug that erased daily challenge progress the day after I reported it. I am therefore adding a star to the rating.

I love it so much because it’s one of the best top language apps I installed and it matches my situation as I tell I signed up for computer programming in a couple months and DataCamp I garantee will help in so much. Honestly everyone I know should download DataCamp because it doesn’t just accurately teach you python it also brings you knowledge, I love how there is no pop up ads or a load of them speaking of that. And I would love to thank everyone who worked on data camp and helped me and others. Good job guys on making this wonderful game and thank you for putting you knowledge to make this experience. After becoming interested in learning about using the linux shell command line and how to utilize Python to analyze data, I tried learning from some of the free websites out there. Not to say they won't teach you the information, but it was definitely more work learning on your own. I became impatient and kept searching for other websites that I would be able to learn from more quickly. After checking out this app and doing the first lessons, I was impressed! So much so, in fact, that I didn't hesitate to sign up to continue the lessons. This site is how things need to be done, and I'll happily pay for their level of professionalism that exceeded my expectations. Awesome!

When your professor teaches you C++ in college; it is daunting. College made programming scary. Not to mention hardware and networking was fun, you get to actually do things. But I realized as other do, that programming is a big skill set. The next 5 years will require programming for everything. And if you don’t know your screwed. I am a hardware and networking guy. I knew nothing about Python 30 days ago, and now I am really comfortable with it. I keep coming back for more, it’s addicting.

Coupled with this, I am doing some Linux stuff and some Wall Street Finance stuff. I want a better job period, and you’re putting on the path to success. After this, I will continue to practice and then go after Java and C++. Bring it on.

By the end of the year, I know I am going to be in a better place. And I can’t wait.

I’m an application designer and I want to learn more about data science and data visualization since that’s mostly what I design for.

I come from a very artistic background where number aren’t my friends and DataCamp has changed the way I look at data and statistics.

The courses are bit size video from 2-5 mins long and give you exercises to put what you’ve learned into practice. I finished the Data Science for Everyone course within 2 days (2 hours each day) and it wasn’t overwhelming.

I love the way you can practice what you learned and it helps you by explaining when you answered incorrectly and allows you to try again. It also reinforces what you learned when you answer correctly by summarizing the lesson in a few sentences.

Hands down worth every penny and you can get certificates as well for data analytics and data science.

Really changed my perspective on how to handle data and data science in general.

DataCamp is a nice way to practice on the go, and I think it even offer more specific practice sets and features per topic than on desktop, which I like. However, DataCamp functionality seems like it’s missing features and full access to the this app library of courses. I’m only able to see things I’ve saved or interacted with on the desktop site. I would like to see a full integration of the features and functionalities into DataCamp because it has great potential to tap into a larger market. Also, I wish the suggestions for when you get something wrong could be improved, as they sometimes don’t help at all.

I have less than minimal coding experience, but I found it easy to jump right into the lessons. They are abbreviated which makes it easy to get a lesson in during short breaks at work, while waiting on an order at a drive thru etc. Because I know the lessons are short and easy, I’m more motivated to do at least one lesson everyday which is good for someone like me who has a hard time building consistency.

I’ve only been using DataCamp for a week but I believe the regular exposure and gradual build-up of knowledge will help to prepare me for a data analytics boot camp that I plan to enroll in at the beginning of 2020.

DataCamp is very useful, easy to understand, clear, and worthwhile. Great UI and overviews on topics, and reasonably comprehensive. Highly recommend overall. However, as a scientist looking to implement more programmatic approaches to digital computing and sensor collection and interpretation, I found I skipped large portions of content related to Pandas. It is not helpful when I am primarily interested in evaluating, generating, and collecting data, given data frames are essentially table-making operations. I found that other database techniques and programs are more useful in showing and referencing data in tables.

I found this app over a year ago while searching for an app to help me practice learning data science. I’ve really enjoyed how easy the platform is all while engaging the user to think and solve programming exercises. If you want to learn R or Python, this is a perfect start. Over the past several weeks they’ve added other technologies such as Power BI and Excel. Well worth checking it out even if you use the trial version. The paid subscription offers a ton more features and certificates.

The methodology of this education is a great tool, I feel the data language seeping In slowly. I knew nothing when I started and I’m very impressed thus far and excited to continue. Any support for this platform I believe would support the progression of mankind. Machine Learning is the future and so is this app. Given what is happening to our educational system since the virus secondary methods of online eductation are key to keeping your kids educated. I recommend this app as a tool that teaches you the tools of the future.

So far I have really enjoyed learning Python with this app I’ve tried other courses with other websites but so far this app has been very efficient with teaching me everything I need to start my career as a data scientist. DataCamp maybe limited from its desktop counterpart but It runs extremely smooth and i would recommend to anyone who would like to learn about computer coding. R, Python, SQL, command prompt, YOU NAME IT. I look forward in participating in their this app projects so I can start building my resume into a solid and complete resume.

I have never found such a comprehensive app for learning data science on the whole. I have started using DataCamp since its early days, enjoyed its great content and now the dev team introduced the all-new features I have always dreamed of: full coding lessons on mobile. Okay, I can say goodbye to my laptop for a while so that my aching back can rest and can still lazily lie on bed learning favorite coding courses at the same time. Thank you, this app, I'm thrilled to see more updates from you !

I am a total beginner but this platform has changed my life even in a few days. The UI is BEAUTIFUL(I’m very picky about aesthetics), the examples are fun, and everything is just very encouraging and pleasing to use. This is the only platform that has a wide interactive variety of all the languages I care about for a great price! Excited to move my professional ambitions forward with data camp :) love that I can practice on my commute, waiting at Starbucks, whatever!!

I actually have fun in while learning the basics of coding through DataCamp. The lessons are easy to follow, and most of all for me, forgiving when I happen to make a mistake. There isn’t anything that I have a problem with when it comes to the content within DataCamp itself.

The only thing that I would like to see changed is that when I’m using it with my iPad Pro that it never rotates into landscape mode. I’m literally typing and looking at the screen sideways. Once that is addressed I think that it will be perfect.

I am using DataCamp to practice my SQL skills. Very helpful in that regard! I learned basic over view of SQL but wanted to practice more to gain confidence. DataCamp is really great for that purpose. Great interface and presents the functions in a very organized why in increasing complexity. DataCamp saves your correct answers to questions, so you can go back and reference your correct queries. Looking forward to using DataCamp to practice R and Python.

this app is the best tutor app, I have used in recent time. It is intuitive, concise, contains all the necessary information required from the scratch up for both beginners and experts alike. One thing about the this app app is that, it approaches every lesson using the baby step, making it suitable for all all level of interest, who wishes to take the lessons. Experts can also skip to the level they want to read. In all I love DataCamp and the subjects.

When enrolling in this app, I was completely new to the programming world. About a month in, I am starting to become proficient in programs, such as R and Python. The instructions and trainings are very clear and the courses are at your own pace. They have daily practices that you can do to re-jog your memory on certain concepts or topics. Overall, this app has been very helpful! Excited to continue my programming journey with DataCamp.

Videos and interface is very intuitive. They teach you from scratch or from any level you’re already at. A lot of courses to choose from and an active community on slack that you can collaborate with and get help from. Compared to other sites/apps like this, this app tends to have more practice than other places and that’s why I picked it. They’ve delivered so far and I just finished the intro to python.

So far I’m loving the course. I’m using the free version and I already feel like I’ve learned a ton. It fluids through all the different levels of programming starting at the basics but without spending too much time on them that you get bored. It’s focus is interactive learning which I think is crucial to really learn a subject like data science. Will likely upgrade to premium soon.

this app is a fantastically designed app and program for learning data science! The lessons are sorry and to the point, but the practice questions really push you to apply what you learn. Also, their customer service is amazing! I won't go in to detail, but I'll say this: they took me as a month to month subscriber to an annual, just by the way they treated me!
