Good but with a few hiccups

CVS “fixed price” is exactly that, and is always higher than price at other participating pharmacies. You find those by looking at the GRxG map for participating pharmacies in your area. I too would like a listing of local partipating pharmacies and their prices as in plain GoodRx. Always check prices in both since Gold does not always offer the lower price (strange since it is a subscription service). Have not found pharmacists by telephone eager to spend the time entering the codes to give the for certain price that day for a given drug. Some pharmacies such as Publix offer some generic drugs for free, so know the policies of your local pharmacies and their “bargains” so that you can ask your doctor if such a medication may be appropriate for you.

Impeccable Customer Service!

I lost health coverage due to the ACA not actually being all that “AFFORDABLE.” I looked in to how I could get my much needed prescription at a cheaper price and found this! What would cost me over $80 out of pocket is only $21 thanks to GoodRxGold!! Worth every penny and when I had an issue with Costco not accepting my GoodRX Gold card, GRX contacted them and had them refund the extra amount I paid then transferred me to a pharmacy they knew would be more cooperative! I’m thrilled! They’ve been nothing short of brilliant in their customer service department and they’re so kind and understanding. I am so grateful for their help. Best customer service model in existence. Thank you!!!

Great App, Great Prices.

I have been using GoodRx for many years now and it has saved me a ton of money. There are times I don’t even use my insurance because the scripts are much cheaper through GoodRx. Recently I signed up for the GoodRx Gold Card to my amazement they saved me an additional $30 a month on the already good deal I was getting. Overall for something so cheap and the outrageous cost of scripts now a day this is definitely a great app and will recommend to anyone that needs. As for the little complaints I see below about GoodRxGold giving ppl problems I have not had any problems to this day. Keep up the good work and thanks again GoodRx!

Terrible app, no savings!

I wanted to research prices in my brand new “GoodRX Gold” The first RX I searched needed fine-tuning in the name. So I went to “Support” and it answered my question. But there was no way to get back to GoodRxGold ! I was stuck in “Support”. I closed out GoodRxGold and re-open it from my desktop. No-go. After being cycled through “do you want to open in GoodRxGold ?”(YES) It only opened the FREE GoodRX I shut down my phone to see if that would work. Nope. I got stuck in GoodRxGold Store again which could only take me back to “Support”, and after being in the FREE version for a while, I somehow managed to get to the GOLD one. I think it was my random pushing of buttons that did it. I have no idea how it really worked. Now that I know that the prices are not better, and GoodRxGold doesn’t work, I don’t understand why I would pay $9.99 a month. I’m out. Don’t do it!

Lifesaver between projects

I do contract work, so I sometimes have short periods where I’m uninsured. I’ve used the free product often. This time, for an expensive medication, I took the free trial of Gold and saved 88% off retail...crazy!!

BEFORE going Gold, check whether there’s a participating pharmacy near you. And beware: Gold prices are higher at CVS, possibly more than a different pharmacy in the free version.

Suggestion: it would be nice to see prescription numbers in the purchase history.

App needs updated

Use regular GoodRx all the time and decided to try the gold version. I understand there are times where gold version may be higher than standard version. My problem with gold app is that it shows you the lowest price, and also the CVS price, but does not seem to have the ability to show you which pharmacies charge the lower price. Checked and the website that can be used by nonmembers does show you a list of those pharmacies when you run a search.

Life Saver!

My wife and I don’t have insurance and this is an absolute life saver. This saves us easily several hundred a month. Yes some prescriptions are cheaper with the the free version and in those cases you use the free version.

But I would say 99% of the time Gold gives a better price. And with the Gold version GoodRx has contracts with the Pharmacy so they have to honor it, unlike the free version.

My biggest complaint is GoodRxGold and website are slow, like really really slow.

🚨 WARNING!🚨 Shady as Hell!

Total false advertising! GoodRX Gold charges $9.99 a month for a higher/better discount on your prescriptions....so they advertised.
Well, this is NOT true! You actually pay them $9.99 a month and then they charge you and your family more for your prescriptions than the GoodRX Free version! Seriously! When I called them to see if there was a glitch in the system they stated, “No, that that is correct. The RX prices are higher in GoodRX Gold than in the free version for now”. WTH!?
Their customer service rep couldn’t have cared less about this issue/concern. I called back again just in case the first rep I got to talk to wasn’t informed or maybe he was just having a really bad day, but no, I got the same useless help from the second rep!

FYI:
Though I did cancel my GoodRX Gold membership immediately, I do continue to use the GoodRX Free!! You can still save money for free on your families prescriptions and I do have to say it’s well worth it. We wouldn’t be able to afford the more serious RX’s without it!

Update The App For IOS 12.2

Please update GoodRxGold to have full screen on the iPhone XS Max 12.2 Asap Thanks.

Stay with FREE App.

To start with .... 4 out of 5 medication I take were 50% higher at the same chain store pharmacy in GOLD than the free app. Upon calling customer service, I was told that different contracts with different pharmacies when I explained that it was the same pharmacy the CSR HAD SAME ANSWER..ITS LIKE GOODRx & GOODRx GOLD are two different companies, App really needs work it’s like this is a beta ver. I’m surprised they got through Apple review, and all this for $9.99 a month. App gets 1 Star for letting have free month ..
( maybe this is a beta ver ) So Account
Deleted and app removed from Phone !

DONT BOTHER, USE REGULAR GOOD RX

Come to find out GoodRxGold works at virtually none of the pharmacies near me. No big deal, I went online and canceled my membership. I got billed for $5.99 a week later. I went online and did the same thing again, and was billed the next cycle. Now for the THIRD TIME I was billed again, and I KNOW I canceled my membership! I have the emails and everything to prove it. It’s becoming increasingly frustrating especially for an app that is absolutely NOT worth the money.

Watch out!

WATCH OUT!! One would think that since we are paying for a better plan than the regular GoodRx, that we would be getting better prices. NOT TRUE on all meds. On one medication the gold was $30 more than the regular. Thanks a lot GoodRx! Now I have to check my insurance prices, GoodRx prices, and now GoodRx Gold prices because you advertise better program, but hide the fact that on some meds we can be charged a lot more. Not happy.

Use the Free app, don’t pay Gold

After using and loving the Free GoodRX app, I thought spending $10 a month for GoodRX Gold would save me even more money. I was wrong. The coupons in the free GoodRX version are consistently cheaper than the prices in Gold (at least at CVS).

To make matters worse, after being burned a few times, I started checking the prices in each app before going to the pharmacy. The price CVS charged was double what GoodRX Gold said it would be.

Extraordinarily expensive. Cvs retail price was lower. They even laughed. Lost over $100 one visit.

Simply horrible product. Created to scam people using the original. Really sad way to make money. Should be ashamed. Oh but when you call customer service you get to hear a nice recording of the CEO. Lol what kind of dude does that.

Pharmacist and I Shocked at Price Hike

I take a generic medication that costs $41 with the basic free Good RX.

When the pharmacist ran the Gold RX price it was $238! Nearly 6 times more!!! 😳😳

While I was being check out at the pharmacy I went in and cancelled my membership to Gold RX! Absolutely ridiculous!

Also you can’t see which pharmacy is cheapest - they advertise for CVS. When I looked for this medicine it showed like $252 (even higher than Meijer that I use). I thought that had to be a mistake and still tried at Meijer - but nope!

Just keep the basic and save yourself money!
