NOAA Marine Weather Reviews

NOAAMarineWeather looks like it provides a tremendous amount of information on the buoys that it covers. However the basic app allows pop-up game advertisements that cannot be canceled or closed out. You have to close the whole app and then re-opened it to get back to the information for a few seconds before another game app advertisement pops up which can’t be closed. There is a small X close button located on the very edge of the screen in the upper corner but you cannot activate it. Very disappointed and will probably delete NOAAMarineWeather .

I was turned on this application by a friend of mine who is a professional surfer. He relies on it to find the best conditions. I have used it for the same purpose to great success. I love the intuitive interface.

I love NOAAMarineWeather especially during storms like Eta coming through today. The sad part is the full screen ads come up with a timer on how long you have to watch before you can close the ad. But even after the time expires, the X to close the ad doesn’t work. So then I’m forced to quit NOAAMarineWeather and start over. If that annoying problem gets fixed I’ll update my review, if it doesn’t I will find a different app.

This tool is the best I have. The graphics are great and allow me the ability to be successfully sail after a 2 hour drive..

The main reason I used NOAAMarineWeather was to get actual readings from the buoys. I don’t need a weather forecast, there are 1000s if apps for that. Very disappointed in the update, as it is more focused on forecast vs Actual.

A very useful application and it’s clear that the developers have tried it. It shows a lot of useful information so you can safely download.

Very useful app. Accurate and up to date information about weathered conditions. Recommend it!

Look, we all know apps embed ads to make money. But most are just placed around the perimeter, in an information feed, or play on demand. NOAAMarineWeather plays video ads without notice in the middle of using it. Very intrusive. I can’t rank any app higher than 1 star that uses this philosophy.

Very interactive and love how you can make your own favorite spots to check the forecast with! Found my kayak fishing weather app! Top notch!

A simple app to give me what I need when I need it. I wish everybody could do something so straightforward.

Worked when I paid for it yesterday. Today it gives an error saying the system data isn’t in the right format and it doesn’t display any marine data, which is why I bought it and why I needed it.

As a surfer it's always good to know the tide data. NOAAMarineWeather does a great job of displaying the buoy data in a really easy to read way. Kudos!

NOAAMarineWeather has little to nothing to offer. It gives you the high and low temps for that particular buoy. I initially got NOAAMarineWeather to use for offshore fishing. NOAAMarineWeather is worthless for offshore fishing because it hardly has any info for buoys. The reviews I have read were totally misleading. Do not purchase! Complete waste of money and time.

Love NOAAMarineWeather. I teach sailing lessons and NOAAMarineWeather gives you wind direction and speed at regular intervals. I use it every time I take the boat out.

NOAAMarineWeather stays up to date and has all the info a boater needs.

App is constantly interrupted with very annoying ads to download juvenile games. You can’t exit the screen because a very tiny “x” is placed on very edge of screen that doesn’t work. You have to close and refresh app.
When NOAAMarineWeather does run it’s good.

Data accuracy and user friendly design

I installed NOAAMarineWeather for the wave height records, and suddenly that portion of NOAAMarineWeather is no longer showing. 🤔 otherwise a great app.

I downloaded NOAAMarineWeather for marine weather but every time I open it a stupid ad locks up NOAAMarineWeather and I’m unable to exit out of the ad. I am deleting NOAAMarineWeather and finding something else for marine weather.

I first downloaded NOAAMarineWeather to get quick access to ocean water temps. With the latest update, they removed this feature.

There are too many apps out there to put up with having my whole screen taken over for 5 seconds at a time.

So many ads I will be deleting and finding a different app. So annoying. Cant imagine these ads popping up while on the water with cold hands!

Sometimes the wave height is shown but most times it is not. Why have an app on bouy data without the most important info...

You try to review weather and full page pop ups come up ALL THE TIME blocking the screen.
