Buoycast: Marine Weather Reviews

None of the features work unless you pay, basically all you can view is current weather and tides and if you try to check the next day a pay window pops up and you are constantly asked to give a review. There are plenty of other apps and other ways that are 100% free

Worked well and was reliable but as of today I can’t seem to get current wind speeds which is what I use this for exclusively.

Now Buoycast is not finding my location and goes straight to showing Hawaii data. It’s done this before.

After updating yesterday, Buoycast isn't pulling wave height/period, wind, temps, or really any data for my local buoys. I went online via browser and confirmed that they are active and logging data. Not sure what's going on with Buoycast . Normally 5-star.

Even though I have location services on it cannot determine my location and only provides sites along the Texas Coast. I’m on the Mississippi Gulf Coast but the buoys I want are not even on the list. How do I remove buoys from the list?

I think Buoycast is good enough it is often off on wind prediction or fog but there is no better app out there.I have tried at least six other apps.

I live on a peninsula at the confluence of multiple straits and the winds can be strong and come from any direction. Buoycast allows me to check the forecast based on the closest buoy and even better, get notifications of wind advisories. This allows me and my family to make sure windows are closed and outdoor furniture is secure before the wind hits.

Really good. Clear. Easy banner on small craft advisory. Wish there were more bouys out there, but not their fault. Like it. . So weather dependent in North east but Buoycast is great.

I don't have to go topside and turn on weather channel or fire up PC or TV... I just open Buoycast and my nearshore weather and forecast is there and in a very pleasing format. I love it! This is the same data I can get elsewhere but quicker and prettier!

Nice app, but they don't give enough data from the buoy. Most of what Buoycast gives I can get from the weather channel.

Opens to nearby buoy report and then can get the marine forecast and click to get the nearby reports also. Tide data a nice bonus.

Able to find all my local and regional marine forecasts. Also great for planning longer voyages to waters outside my local area.

Nearest Lake Ontario operating reporting station over 50 miles away but was told it would be back on line soon.

The current wind speed and th other info in that section never seem to be available. Otherwise I find it very useful for tides and marine conditions

I use to always go to my weather on my VHF but now there is no more need. Buoycast gives you a quick glance at weather and sea conditions with no need to listen to all the stuff you do t need.

I’ve been using Buoycast for years and highly recommend it for boating. It’s simple, accurate and the customer service is phenomenal.

This has the potential to be useful however Most of the weather stations at least for the mid bay report wind and temperatures data not available.

Buoycast is a must for navigation assistance and should be used along with radar and local notice to mariners in your Votage Planning.

Very nice looking App as far as data presentation, but what value is it if there is no up to date data....Multiple stations on Buoycast indicate No data available, but looking at the NOAA page directly for buoys all data is showing... ???
