Ok people really?

The boosts are useless and there is this challenge in the higher levels about you get prizes in a certain amount of time if you do almost all the levels at one time. And really I’m only level seventeen and they give me this. They make it EXTRA hard with the time present challenge thing. Like come on you should do that when you are level one hundred or something. I’m level seventeen not level one hundred or up. Please fix this thank you. This is bad in the high levels. I really want the time to expire. It won’t. It takes like the whole night to go away. That’s only my guess. But please fix this I’m gonna rate this zero if you don’t fix this. Cause that time challenge is for levels one hundred and up. And thank you.

SIMON
Yes I see your point there, #iloveottersandtigers. It is kind of right that you are only level seventeen and we give you this challenge. I will try to make it for high levels like level one hundred and up like you said. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll try my best for updating it to what you just said or what you just suggested. Thanks for the feedback again. I’ll try my best again. Bye #iloveottersandtigers.

Not the game I expected plus new problems

Up until this last tournament my biggest complaint is that in the previews for this game it always shows “find the differences” but so far I haven’t found it anywhere in the game and that was the whole reason I downloaded it in the first place. However the last tournament wouldn’t allow me to play but I was busy so I decided to let it go and play the next one. This tournament started and I have won the same level dozens of times but it won’t let me move on. So I tried to go to the support under the settings menu and I can’t even open it! So now I can’t play the tournament except for one level which means I might as well not play and the developers won’t even let me complain about it so it can get fixed!! If it’s not fixed by the tournament, I’m uninstalling the game. Especially because as I stated earlier the whole reason I wanted this game was to play “find the differences” like it showed on the videos I had seen for the game. I talked to a couple friends who have this game and they said they’ve never seen it in the game either I really think they need to change their advertising. Oh and side note this game drains my battery fast than any other game I have.

Update: 8/4/18
Another update to the game and yet it didn’t fix the tournaments.

Fun at times but a money hole

So I got SimonsCat mainly because I like Simon's Cat. The game is great till you get farther along. The levels are designed in a way that you lose most of the time. After playing a level for about an hour and losing I broke down and bought the smallest bonus pack, still barely beat it. The cost of items are ridiculous and the units per item are horribly done. Instead of 70 coins for an item, maybe increments of 10 or something. I have played similar games like this, but I actually could play the game and they had ads, but I didn't have to waste money on several levels. I don't see the purpose of adding. Levels when you can't even make it to level 60. Maybe add more ads for revenue or make it a game you can buy and add more ways to get items. Another thing is the cat treat bonuses to take rows out are so random and most the time don't go where you would like them to be. Those that mace it far in the game either are lucky as heck or spending a lot of money. I can't recommend this game until the play mechanics are fixed. I know that my response from a forum person will be, I will let the developers know. . .

Needs improvement

This is basically a match 3 game with cute graphics. I’ve played every level and while I like this game it needs a lot of improvement. Higher Levels freeze and you have to exit the level (losing all bonuses) to get it to work again. This happened a lot to me when I was at the max level of “Hot Streak” bonuses. They advertise a hard level challenge when the game starts up but I have yet to find it (this may be user error). The cost of a bonus is 70 coins which is very high, especially when the daily challenge award is 1 - 5 coins. 3 stars are very hard to achieve which is frustrating. You’ll end up spending a lot of money to buy bonuses. It will say you’ve missed a daily challenge even if you successfully play it daily and it disqualifies you from being eligible for the bigger bonuses at the end. This happens almost every time you spend 25 coins to play the next level on the same day. The developers are spectacularly unhelpful. I’ve submitted several problems to them and the responses have been amazingly unresponsive. It can take weeks to get a response. The most common is that unless you’re signed in with FB, they can’t help you and even when I signed in with FB, I received no help and they don’t fix the issues with the game even when you give them the levels that are problematic. I really can’t recommend this game until the issues are fixed. Play one of the many, many other similar games until they fix this one.

Cute but super frustrating

The game is very cute and can be fun, but like many people have said it feels like they’re deliberately making levels nearly impossible to pass without buying something like extra coins and treats. The game is super stingy with allowing players to win coins and treats, too. And it does feel like sometimes they’re miscounting how many points you get for getting rid of “x” amount of pieces in one go — there are versions of games that seem to deliberately block you from clearing certain strategic areas, and then the game has the audacity to give you a “prize” for failing a level 10 times in a row or something. The purpose of the game should be to be diverting and fun, but I’m finding it increasingly frustrating. With all the ads you’d think they’d be a little more generous with allowing people to win bonus treats and additional coins. Also: they have the same 6 “find the difference” games over and over. It’s not fun or challenging anymore and you never know when or if it will even pop up. I’ve actually flipped off the game I’ve gotten so annoyed.

Lot’s of improvement...

So I got this game thinking it would be a nice relaxing game to play. The first couple levels were fun and easy. But then it gets way to hard. I have scrolled through the other comments and others are saying the same thing. You just say back that people enjoy the challenge. But lots don’t either. I think there should be a daily present when you log in. I know there are daily levels but I would just like a daily power up or coins or something. It’s like on the levels that you purposely want people to spend real money on it. It’s like you control the game and make me fail the levels to make me mad so that I use coins or a power up. I like my coins and power ups so I don’t use them very often. I think you should have way more lives. And you shouldn’t have to wait for EVER to get more lives or get past a gate. It is RIDICULOUS!!! I think that’s all of my feedback for you. The game overall is fun just more improvement is all. I hope you take this into consideration since I have seen you say you are but never have improved some things. And please DEVELOPER respond to this not some robot computer that sends the same message to everyone. Thanks a lot!

Cute but time to quit

As always when you start these games they are very cute and you’re able to work your way through the levels. Then you reach these levels where you have to use up your boosters and you are not given very many chances to finish the game. it’s very difficult to beat a game when you only have 12 moves and I have to use the first five or six with no chances of making any chains for extra boosters. I am not one to sit and play a level over and over and over and over and over and over and over again like the other games. I understand just like everything else it’s all about getting your money. I understand you need to generate money for the games but you guys just need to lighten up. I have a very busy stressful life and would like to be able to unwind at the end of the day with a cute cat game. If all these games weren’t so pushy about getting your money maybe I’d spend a few dollars but I seriously doubt that will change.

Cute game with minor drawbacks- a must play for Simon/match3 fans

I got this game because it has Simon Cat in it. I've stuck with it because it is for the most part a well-designed game. I have seen some reviews where they say you cannot progress without spending money and I would have to disagree; i am level 130 or so and have not spent a dime. The game offers plenty of rewards in the form of the boosts that help you win the levels. As well, they offer daily challenges with tournaments and quests with great rewards that keep the game fun and engaging.

The problem i have is that you have a three-star system here and the third star is ridiculously difficult to obtain. I have wasted all available boosts to try to attain this third star for progressive levels and I have not managed this beyond level 34. Not having a reasonably attainable perfection score is a kicker for me. In order to support the game i purchased the no-ad pack, but i feel that the boosts items are way overpriced. Once i complete the available levels i will be done with the game. Another small drawback is the CONSTANT demand for notifications and Facebook access. I detest notifications and so have not allowed them, yet this game ask for permission every few levels.

Fun game

Just got the game last night and I’ve been really enjoying playing it, until now. I am stuck in the first locked area. I have to play to get the keys and I got the first key, but now I have to wait to “let the cats rest”, ask a friend, or spend “coins”. The wait is long and even longer if you have to close SimonsCat if you have other things you need to do and I’m not going to just leave SimonsCat open for the (very long) 4 hour timer to finish it’s count down (edited because I just finished the wait for the 2nd key, the wait started last night, and now I have to wait 4 hours to play for the 3rd key, not cool), I don’t have friends who play this game to ask for help, and I don’t have enough coins earned yet to buy a key (no money in PayPal to purchase coins either). I do realize you can go back and replay games already played to get up to 3 stars per level, but I like to be going forward in a game, not back. I do like playing this game so far and I am going to finish waiting to play to get the keys, but I am disappointed in the length of the wait. The locked area is not very play friendly, so I gave it 3 stars for now, when I originally gave it 5 before hitting this “road block”.

Love the game...to a point..

This game is WAY addictive!! It’s really, really fun and the characters are hilarious!

BUT....

Two of the biggest problems I’ve had with the game are: levels that are impossible to get 3 stars on and ads that black out. I’m one of those people who believe that I haven’t beaten a level unless I got 3 stars. There are a plethora, of levels like this in the game.. it gets to the point where you’ve used up all your bonuses/ powers, and you STILL can’t get 3 stars!! It’s like the tip of the 3rd star isn’t covered, so you lose. I’m not one to spend money on apps, so I’m trying to win without too much help. Then.. the ads..I totally understand that the makers of the game make money from ads..BUT, every time an ad comes on, the screen goes blank and I have to restart the game.. I finally won 3 stars on a level that I’ve been stuck on for 2 weeks..and what do you know, the black screen came on and I lost my score!! It’s really aggravating!! I want to completely love this game, but when that “stuff,” happens it’s hard to!

Needs work...

I love this game and have been playing it since day one. However, the following issues need to be addressed: 1. Every time I try to play the tournaments on my iPad mini, if I win the level and hit the arrow button to go back to the tournament level page, the game stops, I'm back on my dashboard page, and when I reload the game and get back on the tournament it puts me on the same level I just played with a zero score. 2. There is no point in having a help button if it does nothing when you push it. 3. When I play on my laptop it will sometimes not load and I get a message saying that my memory is full and I need to reconfigure the settings, but when I go to check this, I still have more than enough memory left. 4. The prices for coins purchased with actual cash are a bit unreasonable; other games I play have a price level lower than this one-for example, the $1.99 level is good, but then the next level jumps to $9.99? It would be nice to have something in between. The new "starter pack" deal is great, however. 5. There should be an incentive for winning a level, other games I play give a few coins or keys which you can save or trade for the bonus items after every level you win. It doesn't have to be much, even 1 or 2 coins or whatever would be great.
If these items were fixed I would happily give this game 5 stars as it is fun. Developers, please pay attention to the players comments for ways to improve the game!

Playing Since the Start

I have been playing Simon‘s Cat Crunch Time since it was initially released. As a huge fan of the Simon Cat videos, and also part of the crowd funding for his movie Off to the Vet, I was over the moon when he announced that they were coming out with a game for iPads.

I also enjoy seeing that there are other games available with the Simon Cat characters. Who doesn’t love the adorable cats and kittens in the videos and games. But today I was a bit distraught when I saw an ad for the original Crunch Time game and it showed bonus games. I am currently on level 5,986 and hav eNEVER seen a bonus game. If you’ve been playing from the beginning, are you exempt from the bonus games? The only bonus game I have seen is the Find the Difference game. Don’t get me wrong, I love playing Crunch Time! I play at least the daily game each day, if not multiple levels of the main game.

I just want to know where the bonus games are for us longtime players…

Unhappy with new changes

I really love Simon’s Cat Crunch Time but the newest updates are really annoying and irritating! The first I noticed was that you MUST use your accumulated Catnips as soon as you have 25 collected. I liked to accumulate more than 25 before I used them. It’s a small change, I admit, but I don’t like it. However, what made me decide to come write this review is a change that might—after enjoying and playing this game for at least the last year—make me quit playin Crunch Time for good. Before this change, when you lost a level you could start the level over from the beginning with a remaining life or you could pay 70 coins for five more moves and hopefully win. No more! Now, if you lose, a choice pops up. The player can either pay the 70 coins for five more lives or you can quit and start over but you lose one of the lives you have. For example, you lose a level, and you had 4 lives left when you started the level. But if you decide to not pay 70 coins and start over your 4 lives has changed to 3. I hope that makes sense. At any rate, I think it’s pretty sleazy and clearly a way to get players to buy more coins for actual coins. But for this player, the result will be that I find a new game. It’s too bad because I love Crunch Time and it’s a go-to game for me, especially when I have to spend time in a waiting room, and, truthfully, just when I want something fun to do.

Love this game but...

Like many others have said the costs of coins is a bit high especially since you don’t get any boosters to go with it 😢. It would be nice if there were different prices for the different boosters as well, especially since they themselves each have different levels of use.
Also today, the 7 days of Christmas shows up with the opportunity of 12 boosters and 2 hours of unlimited lives. But every time I try to get it a pop up says in app purchase not available at this time.
Also, my only other complaint is what was stated before... the time in between playing for keys to unlock new areas. Like others I don’t attach it to my Facebook to beg others for stuff *dont do that with any games*. I understand that this is a way to get us to purchase coins, however, people like me who are on a fixed income can’t always afford to purchase coins. Maybe the developers could make the time to play for more keys shorter like other games do...maybe wait an hour.
Other than that I love this game, the graphics and the challenge 😊

Fun, fun, fun!

Love the cats, their personalities, the detailed landscape with not just lots of different animals but some actually identifiable species - must be some real nature aficionados amongst the design team. Hilarious animations even when not playing a game - it’s fun just to scroll through the landscape and see details I missed before. All this takes a toll on the battery though. Some of the boosts are incomprehensible in their action until you’ve wasted quite a few. But still possible to play and advance without buying stuff if you’re willing to lose a few dozen rounds first (I’m serious). You won’t achieve competitive standing though. Also, I finally reached a point where the game just froze up and could not be got out of and I had to delete and reinstall it, but guess what? It was just as much fun the second time around. I’m smitten, now let’s see some kittens!

Purrfect

I love SimonsCat so much. It has been only about 10 minutes and I’m addicted. A long time ago I had played. I hadn’t really understood the meaning, but years later, today, I love it. I even bought the card game, which is like and adorable, creative, and different version of Uno. I’d recommend both SimonsCat and the game with 5 stars. If I could, I’d make this one of those formal reviews with the pros and cons- but I can’t because there are no cons to me! I love the feature of being able to choose a little emote to describe the level. I think it’s super cute and I never miss a chance to do it. I also love the cut seen at the beginning of the crow dropping treats and gift boxes as it escapes. I also love watching the boxes explode into cute scenes when you unlock them. So many things I love about this! Each character has its own special and unique personality. I love serving the cat who likes green treats last because of his annoyed attitude. It makes me laugh out loud!

That d**n squirrel

So, I love this game. Play it every day. Have spent a little money, but haven’t needed a ton to make really satisfying progress. And I get the need to show ads sometimes between levels.

But if I see the ad for Forest Rescue Bubble POP one more hecking time, I’m going to lose my freaking mind. It’s an annoyance to be told to rotate my device—I’m not always in a place where that’s easy to do—but I could live with it. BUT THE AD CANNOT BE CLOSED. I try everything: tapping the X that *should* work, playing a couple levels, fake out clicking “install.” None of it gets back to my game. I have to force close SimonsCat to get rid of it. FIX. IT. PLEASE.

Edit 1/6/19: Yup, I’m STILL playing this game. It’s one of my self care tools. Developers were responsive to my previous complaint, so I want to let them know it’s happening again. Forest Rescue Bubble POP is hecking back AGAIN, as well as another ad placed by AdColony. I have a screen cap of the ad & its lack of close options if anyone is interested.

Costly game

I do like playing the game, it is a challenge. The further I get Into the game (higher levels) the more I studied it and it cheats. For instance it sometimes doesn’t give you the full count of treats you highlight. Also when you clear some obstacles, it will show 2, then switch to 3 because it’s the only play you have. Further in the game (on the ones indicated “hard” and where the vines grow over the treats), every so often it only gives you plays on a corner that doesn’t really count for anything, no broken pots, nothing more than 3 treats at a time and you realize you are never going to win the game The other reviews I read about the developer needs to give a little more are spot on. Like better rewards for the money you spend and more options on the packages available. So for all the above reasons, I got to the point of frustrations and I have now deleted SimonsCat . It is a fun and addictive game but there are others as much fun and less expensive to play.

Can’t link account / resolved

I actually really enjoy the game. It would have five stars if I hadn’t recently bought a new iPad. There is absolutely no info regarding transferring my current game to the new pad. Even Google couldn’t find the info. All my other games were easy. Two of the four I regularly play, transferred automatically. One took a little research. But this game…I either have to start from 0 or maybe move on. Unless the developer can shine a bit of light on this subject. I imagine I’m just missing something. Surely the game, including the player’s content, must be able to be transferred to a new device.

Update 11/29: finally figured out how to link. In game settings, I found where to log in with my i.d. And I needed to log into the old pad and the new one, both. Anyways, figured it out just as I received messages from developer. Thank you, Tactile, for those responses, here, as well as, through email. It’s a fun game deserving of five stars or I wouldn't have gotten so upset, lol.

Love it

I play a ton of different match 3 games and this is definitely one of my favorites. The artwork is so detailed, sometimes I scroll through the levels just to see the scenery and fun animations in each section. I haven’t had the trouble a few others mentioned about having to spend money to progress through the levels. I’m currently on level 258 and have yet to spend a cent.

My only complaint is the ads. Well, one ad in particular actually. Now, I expect ads in a free game and I don’t mind the ones that are silent. I’ll actually watch those and occasionally click on them. But the ones that unexpectedly blast you with loud, garish music despite the fact that you have all sounds turned off in the game are unacceptable. When that happens I immediately scramble to exit SimonsCat as quickly as possible. Lately I’ve been getting the same ad -for the Family Guy game - nonstop after every single level. Seriously, I think I’ve only seen a different ad once or twice in the last month, and I play the game daily. This ad is loud and is driving me crazy! Please get rid of loud ads, and I’ll be one happy camper!
