Connection issues

I have an issue when using Apple/Android.
They are really hard to connect for first time, then every time I use over the Bluetooth, Speakers always having hard time connecting with app and not stable, trying to reset and re-install app so many times but issues keep happening.
Hope EV could fix this, love EVQuickSmart layout but connection need to be fixed and getting better.

Completely useless

App doesn’t connect via Bluetooth. Every time I try, it recognizes the device but when trying to pair it instantly fails every time. I’ve tried this from an iPhone and iPad with the same results. From the other reviews, looks like EVQuickSmart needs a lot more work anyways…

looking forward to seeing the improvement EV. Cheers

Faders

The Aux fader onThe individual channels has vanished.

Channel 5/6 noBumper functions as an input with the mono button engaged. These functions did work I know they have ceased to work. I’m not able to download an upgrade from EVQuickSmart Store or reinstall EVQuickSmart that I have.
The firmware optional longer comes up either.

Okay for version 1, but needs work.

I know this is a new feature/app, and I’m sure it’s a work in progress, but it needs some serious improvement. If you update anything at all, it must have a decibel number readout for the volume sliders and the ability to link pairs of speakers together within a complete setup, so you can adjust subs and tops separately. Also, EVQuickSmart is very easily confused and often doesn’t control the whole system volume consistently. Lastly, if you walk out of range, it “forgets” your settings and has no idea where you left the levels. Also, the peak warning doesn’t work for me unless I have EVQuickSmart open. Long story short, it’s okay dialing in the system at the start of the night...that’s it.

limited

Sure, it’s a good start. But is rather limited in what you can do, why can’t you turn up individual inputs and “mix”? Still have to go to back of speaker to change most major settings (sub level) all should be controllable within EVQuickSmart .

No Security. Anyone can Hijack.

Great idea in theory, but there is nothing preventing anyone who has EVQuickSmart from connecting and controlling your speakers.

The only prevention that I can see is that only one session at a time is allowed. If you quit EVQuickSmart or it backgrounds, then someone else can discover your setup and control it thereby locking you out.

Best to turn the control feature off until they update their products with something that allows pairing for the Control portion of EVQuickSmart . My Evolve 50’s do have pairing but only on the Audio streaming side.

Crossover info won’t save

Using EVQuickSmart with a set of ELX200 subs and mains. EVQuickSmart allows you to update the crossover frequency, the speakers update, but then EVQuickSmart shows the previously selected frequency. EVQuickSmart won’t show the current setting unless you disconnect and reconnect to the speakers.

Add a peq!!!!!

I can only give this 3 stars because it has no way of cutting or adding to frequencies. If it had that potential this would get a 5. That and it takes wayyyyy too long to connect, and last but definitely not least please make it to where you can use the speaker while firmware updates are in. Let us have the option don’t make us do that

XCross Setting

Brand new EV 12”Sub and using App for the first time. Noticed EVQuickSmart keeps reverting back to 80Hz after I set it to 100Hz. And the Sub is set to 100Hz default from the very beginning. I’ll reboot EVQuickSmart and she what it indicates. Thoughts?

Keeps Crashing & Disconnecting

I’m trying to update the EQ settings and suddenly EVQuickSmart just disappears mid use or a lot of times I’ll go to click on EVQuickSmart in my iPad 9th generation and it makes me reconnect. Why doesn’t it stay connected? I never turned off the unit. I turn off my iPad, but when I turn it back on and it should still be connected, right?

OK but lacking

I have the ev200s. It has 2 inputs plus the aux input. It would be great if EVQuickSmart allowed individual control (vol, eq) for each input. So if I had a mic in Input 1 and music in either the aux or Input 2 , I could mix them from EVQuickSmart . EVQuickSmart only allows vol and eq for the speaker itself. When could you add these features into EVQuickSmart?

Solid but not quite there yet

I have a 30 m. Would love if it had a more complex eq section with a frequency analyzer. They could take a page from the behringer x air app. Also individual gain control on each channel would be a no brainer.

Updated for EVOLVE 30M???

I notice there is a screen cap on EVQuickSmart page for the new EV EVOLVE30M column PA. I wonder if that means EVQuickSmart has been significantly improved to address some of the complaints about early versions of EVQuickSmart . It appears there are now volume faders for all channels on EVQuickSmart .

Could use better pairing

It can’t pair with the phone’s regular Bluetooth and app at the same time, and that’s disappointing. It took a few minutes to figure out.

Great App

What would make it 5 stars for me is being able to label inputs. Maybe you can I just haven’t figured it out yet. I must have increased the wrong input 5 times on a live set which in turn gave some nasty feedback from a super hot condenser. I could not remember which input was the condenser.

Great app with a few things missing

EVQuickSmart gives me enough of the bells and whistles that I need to do a professional level wedding ceremony.
A few things could be better…
- app connection is really slow even if device is already connected to the speaker via Bluetooth
- EQs are super useful and greatly appreciated, but really needs a live update to proactively adjust for feedback.

Great app could be better with a few updates.

Good App has Potential!

Currently using EVQuickSmart with an Everse 8

For what EVQuickSmart is at the moment, it works really good. However it needs some improvements to really be pro level. From real world experience, here are 2 things I’d like seen improved in a further app update.

1. I can rename inputs on all channels using my iphone. The problem is the names won’t stay native to that saved preset. I’d like the input names remain custom per stored preset.

2. Please Bring a Ducking feature to at least 1 Mic channel on the Evolve 30m and 50m as there is for the Everse 8.

The speaker and the mixer app is really a great match. EVQuickSmart is awesome and I can see further updates really making it versatile enough to meet both beginner and advance level users.

It still gets 4 star as its been great thus far.

Testing the App

Working fine for now, I got the everse so I think they need to update the display of the percentage of the battery.

Update

I originally gave EVQuickSmart a bad review because it would not pair. I finally figured out the problem. To pair successfully I restarted my phone, I went to settings and “forgot” the device. Then I pushed the pair button on the unit itself, went back to settings and clicked on the EV selection. I went back to EVQuickSmart and clicked on the pair spot and it worked. Now I can skip most of those steps if I simply push the pair button on the device before accessing EVQuickSmart . Then it pairs nicely. After I found how to adjust each individual input, I am a happy customer.

Fantastic speakers!

A dream came true!
Finally, after all these decades your product arrived making gigs possible completely wireless! No XLRs! No mixing board! No AC power needed! Get an extra battery and you have no time limits!
Excellent sound quality! I used to have Yorkville EXM 8 and I must admit, EVs sound quality is significantly better, with all due respect to Yv! Wish someday you will release subwoofers too.
I am almost completely satisfied with EV app, but I wish I had couple features that’ll make it even better.
First, I’d love to have longer tap on 20th FX “tap” effect - I do love to play with delays during my lounge/chillout sax performances and 500ms is not quite long enough.
Second, customizable channels screen: i’d love to have 3/4 channel volume on my mic channel 1 screen to quickly adjust playback volume.
Again, I am a big fan of your product, keep working on it! Much appreciated!
